Synopsis
She is born from a generation of witches, but Kelly Scott never had proper training as her grandmother ran away from the family and kept her mother and her in the dark. Hence, her Psychic abilities (telekinesis, x-ray/ultrasound) were not fully developed. However, as a medical apprentice, she can diagnose diseases easily. She can also divinely operate small tumor, set broken bones and apply first aid on internal injuries. Good enough for her career as a doctor in the 21st century. However, is she good enough to be in the midst of intrigues and power play in a fantasy world so much like Ancient Chine in the novels – a world where people cultivate to be immortal? Because of her meager abilities as a witch, she was super introvert. Her spare time is spent reading web novels or studying medicine. She is not super smart and she doesn’t know how to socialize. How can she survive in this world? She is not Chinese, she is too “westernized”, she knows no self defense in the modern world and what more, she transmigrated into the body of a Miss Jun Wei Wei, a mighty general’s daughter, right at the moment that is about to be killed. She’d be lucky if can get out of this dire situation alive! If she dies this time she will surely not reincarnate again. Is she bound to be a cannon fodder in this world?

Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE: Her 21st Century Death

That day was the most tiring day of my life. I have been toiling as an intern doctor for a year. I just came out from a 48-hour straight duty and was dreaming about soaking in a bath.

I don't know what I like best at the moment; my mother's cooking or sleeping. But I suppose Mom won't let me sleep unless I eat. She and my grandma is all I have as a family. I never knew my dad and my mother has no brothers and sisters.

We are the three wee ladies in the Rowan St. with healing abilities.

Although I am the only who pursue professional medicine. My mother and grandmother were considered to be "faith healers".

"Hmmm, I want to be home right away! I am so tired, I am famished, and I want to sleep and wake up and read those novels piling on my side table!"

With my mind already at home, I didn't notice that the traffic light is already on the go. I still went on walking head on towards home and then…

"Bam!"

"argh…"

I took a very deep breath and somehow, I lost faculty of my lungs. Everything blackened until I was engulfed in darkness.

"asshshshsh… is this dying? Am I dead now?" Those were my last thoughts before I fell into nothingness.
