Glory city is located within the state of Qin on the east side of the Nine Pillar Continent. The continent had earned its name long ago due to the 9 mysterious pillars located on the outskirts of the continent. These pillars were as tall as the highest mountains, as thick as a rushing river and as mysterious as the heavens. Many cultivators speculated that these pillars were used as some sort of a formation that would require an unfathomable amount of energy to activate or use.
Glory city was a prosperous trading city due to its location on the border of the state of Qin which is also right next to the state of Chu. This made the city much stronger and richer than others and cultivators could be regularly seen within the city.
On a busy highway road near Glory city were horse carts and wagons pulling carts of valuables and goods to the city. On that highway you could see a small figure walking at a fast pace towards that city. The figure had long hair that reached below his shoulders, dishevelled clothing and if you looked closely you could see a small red flare within their eyes, this figure was Fan Huang.
After a week of jogging and running they had finally reached Glory city. They had been lucky to not encounter any cultivators along the way and managed to reach the city. The city walls were quite imposing, and the city guards all wore shiny silver Armour that made them stand out from other soldiers they had seen in the past.
Multiple carriages could be seen entering in and out of the city with curtains covering the outsides so you couldn't see in. Fan Huang went the entrance of the city and formed a line behind the rest of the people entering the city. In front of Fan Huang were strong and tall men in a group chatting with each other until they saw Fan Huang approaching them. A bald man who seemed to be the leader of the group smirked with evil intentions as he Fan Huang coming closer. The bald man nodded to one of his other buddies who also smirked at the sight of Fan Huang. The man walked towards in the direction of Fan Huang and walked past Fan Huang and as his shoulder hit Fan Huang he fell down and collapsed. Fan Huang was surprised at this but could see the group of men who were next to him approaching. Two of the men rushed over to the man who had collapsed, and both lifted him up as if he was injured.
"He tripped me and broke my shoulder in the process!" The man who fell over accused Fan Huang while pointing at him with a shaking left hand. The bald man looked at Fan Huang with a vicious smile. He put his arm around Fan Huang and got in close to Fan Huang.
"As you can see over there you injured my buddy over there, it will cost so much to treat him and how could you do such a thing!" The bald man spoke to Fan Huang as if he was a baby.
"I think we might need some money to cover the cost of the injury of my friend. I would need at least 10 pieces of gold for him to recover."
Fan Huang could see that they were obviously trying to rob him.
"I's sorry but then only thing i have is me" Fan Huang replied in a nonchalant tone to the bald man.
The bald man smiled and replied, "Of course you have money, anyone who wants to enter Glory city must pay 5 copper as the entry fee. You guys go deal with him while count the goods to see if we have everything in order" The bald man walked back to his cart while the other people in his gang surrounded Fan Huang.
Even though this was the entrance of the city there was only 5 guards at the entrance and none of them could see to the back of the crowd, so they did not know what was going on.
One of the men around Fan Huang pulled out a knife and jumped towards him. The other man also followed in suit with the man and all attacked together. Fan Huang was worried that he wouldn't be able to escape this situation without killing them. If he killed one of them since they had greater numbers, they would dob on him to the guards and it would not be too good for him.
"Hmph" Fan Huang smirked and grabbed the first man by his throat and using the pure strength of his muscles made the man unconscious.
The rest of the gang were shocked but one of the men shouted
"He's just a kid! It was just a fluke; this kid is just a bit lucky. As long as we have our guard up we can beat the shit out of him."
The gang with strong spirits sprinted towards him.
Fan Huang looked to the rest of them and counted how many of them there were.
"7 of them, one down so far and if I'm careful this might not be as difficult as I think it is", Fan Huang looked at the next member. The man unleashed a flurry of attacks upon Fan Huang, but the man surprisingly felt that none of those hits at connected to Fan Huang. Fan Huang a moment later punched him in the gut instantly knocking him out. Fan Huang looked at the rest of the men who were all approaching. The man all started to punch towards Fan Huang and as they punched Fan Huang didn't seem to be hurt at all. The men started punching faster and faster. The men felt something was wrong, whenever they punched Fan Huang it seemed like they were hitting a brick wall.
"How is this possible? A child shouldn't be this hard and strong" One of the men spoke in shock at this sight. The men gradually stopped punching Fan Huang and were all out of energy.
"Are you guys done? If so, then it's my turn." Fan Huang said as he punched one of them in the head knocking him unconscious.
The other men's eyes widened when Fan Huang knocked another man unconscious for the third time. Bu this time they could tell that it wasn't just fluke. They could tell that Fan Huang was actually very strong.
"R-run!" No one knew who but one of the men screamed out and ran for his life and the other men in the group put their tails in between their legs and ran.
The bald man who was their leader saw this and was surprised at what his men were doing.
He had just come back from checking the goods in his cart to see his men running from a little kid with ragged clothe and long hair surrounded by 3 unconscious men whom he recognized to be his men.
"What are you guys doing? It's just one little kid" The bald man looked at his men running from the child but before he could speak once more the child knock3ed every single of the men out with one strike each.
The bald man's legs started shaking and sweat was coming down from his forehead.
"I shouldn't have messed with him let's just turn away and act is if I don't know those guys"
The bald man turned away and walked back towards his cart but then he blacked out. The last thing he could see was Fan Huang walking over his body walking forward in the line.
"He must be a grand master martial artist to be that strong"
"I wonder how long he has trained"
"He has obviously used some technique to make himself look younger"
"Son, make sure not to look at him okay"
Fan Huang defeating the gang of thugs with one strike each had obviously shocked the people within the line to the entrance.
"What's going on?" A shiny silver armour clad soldier approached Fan Huang.
"Nothing is going on; these guys are all just a bit sleepy, so they wanted to have some naps while waiting in line"
The soldier looked at Fan Huang then looked away and walked towards the soldiers and woke them all up.
"You guys need to wake up. There's people waiting on you!" The soldier then proceeded to lecture the gang on bad manners and how to be a good person. It seems like this soldier is a weird person Fan Huang thought. After the time it takes an incense to burn Fan Huang reached the front and paid the fee of 5 coppers and entered the city. Before Fan Huang completed the ritual, he stole quite a bit of money and jewellery from the villagers because he didn't want to be poor when he got to the city. He also brought the jug from the immortal cave with him. The jug increased his cultivation speed and Fan Huang was happy about that. He already had bad talent to begin with and now with this jug he can somehow cultivate at a somewhat faster speed.
Fan Huang explored the city with much curiosity. The streets were bustling with traders and merchants selling their goods and children walking down the street with their parents. He truly wanted to take the time to appreciate these moments. Just everyday life is so wonderful.
Up ahead he saw the place he was looking for. Before he entered, he asked one of the guards a place to stay and the guard replied the Cosy Tiger Inn. As he entered the inn the smell of alcohol immediately entered his nose and he could see at the counter a beautiful young woman with long legs that seemed to enchant any man. This woman had long yellow hair and a great smile was dangling on her face.
Fan Huang approached the lady and asked "One room please"
The lady noticed Fan Huang and up and down with a judging look at Fan Huang
"Don't you think you are too young for a room. Where are your parents?" The lady put on a mocking smile as she looked at Fan Huang small figure.
"My parents died at a young age and it shouldn't be a problem for me to rent a room should it?"
Fan Huang replied to the lady and looked at her.
"*sigh* I don't really care anyway. It's 10 copper each night and it will cost an additional 5 copper for breakfast and dinner" Fan Huang pulled out 10 copper from his bag like any normal person would because he didn't want to leak his identity as an immortal.
The lady then gave him a key and told him it was number 7.
As he entered the room, he closed the door behind him and jumped onto the bed. Fan Huang was mentally tired cause he has not slept for the past week because he was busy running to Glory City. Even though he had a strong body he was not that strong mentally. The last thing Fan Huang remembered before he went to sleep was his bed sheets and his heavy breathing.
