Chapter 39 - Power Users [2]

Like martial artists, their organization also has ranks, from S being the highest and E being the lowest.

For comparison, a peak yellow martial artist is equivalent to a C rank assassin. If we're talking about battle techniques, the martial artist would of course, win in a one on one duel against the C rank assassin.

Their powers aren't only limited to being assassins, though. Assassins are only one of the roles given to them along with their skill sets, people don't realize they have powers until they are in their adolescent stage.

Aside from Assassins, there are also Tanks who specializes in being the main defense of the team, Support roles who could heal the main damage dealers and could also crowd control enemies, Mages who specialize in doing magic, and Necromancers.

Necromancers are a one in ten billion chance of getting birth, not only are their skill sets so powerful, they could even fight an entire country if they were powerful enough. Not only could they summon the undead, they could also use black magic.

The reason the government is hiding this important information to the public is because it's too much of a risk, if another country were to pouch these guys and turn them against their country, that would just spell disaster to them.

These guys with super powers are pretty hard to come by, though, throughout america, only a hundred worked for the government and the other power users are still unknown.

Luna, with her invisibility skill, goes to the Assassin role, although she is only adept in being unnoticable to other people, it is still a skill required to being an assassin.

Apollo sat the opposite of Zach and Grant in the shack with Aurora laying on the floor, observing the two. Pouring a cup of tea and placing it on the table, Apollo looked at the two people sitting in front of him, "What do you guys plan on doing now?"

Even though the two have a power equivalent to peak yellow rank martial artist, they couldn't stop shaking because of Aurora's deathly gaze on them, "W-we plan on going back to HQ and reporting the matter to the higher ups."

"They just sent you guys to your deaths and... you guys are okay with that?"

The mission was sent by the higher ups but even with their information missing a few lines, they are still okay with it even though they are sent to their deaths.

Before Grant could answer, Apollo stood up from his seat, "I don't really care that much about your life, after you're done, leave the mountain."

With that said, Apollo disappeared in the blink of an eye and returned to the restaurant. He couldn't really care that much about their organization, it was interesting at first but the longer they chatted, it seemed like the normal super power korean comics you would find in the internet. Even if they were to steal something in his farm, Aurora could easily kill them with his cultivation.

...

Having gotten back to the restaurant, Apollo saw his regulars lining up outside, even the elderly people went back to the restaurant, their names were Samuel, Emilia and Charlotte, Charlotte being their grand daughter.

Apollo quickly opened the restaurant and took orders, this wasn't really the life he was expecting when he returned to earth, but at least it's an easy going life.

...

"What a monster..." Upon leaving the mountain, Zach looked back, his face pale white.

"Flynn probably couldn't match up to that guy..." Grant also commented.

Flynn Walker, an S rank assassin who prioritizes speed out of everything, before his targets could even notice him, they have already long died.

Even with his reputation as an S rank power user, he's pretty sociable and friendly, even C rank power users like Zach and Grant are good friends with him despite their power gap.

Returning back to their HQ which is disguised as an Office, they walked to their dorms, "Zach, Grant, what happened to you two?"

Seeing the two pale as a ghost, Flynn couldn't help but ask.

"Flynn!" Zach ran up to him with his childish attitude, "Can you show us your speed again?" seeing the person in the mountain show monstrous speed, he couldn't help but see Flynn's speed so he could make a comparison.

"Sure..."

...

Arriving at the huge gymnasium built underground, Zach and Grant watched in their seats at the side of the gymnasium.

"Ready?" Flynn asked, putting on the goggles to prevent dust from coming into his eyes.

Zach held up a thumbs up signalling their ready.

Flynn nodded in the oval track and positioned himself like a runner in the olympics.

*The Flash SFX*

His figure disappeared from the track and all that's left in its place are dusts that are slowly clearing out and sparks of lightning that was leftover when Flynn ran. After five seconds, Flynn arrived at the starting point and has already finished running the 100 meter track.

"This isn't happening." Zach kept mumbling to himself, "They aren't on par at all!" remembering Apollo reach them in the blink of an eye, it would surely be a surprise of Flynn could catch up to him in terms of speed. 'It's probably just the angle that I've watched the guy from that's why he looked fast...' Zach thought to himself.
