"Alina, sister," Yulia quivered before her little sister, "what are you saying?"
Seeing her terrified expression made Alina nearly growl at Yulia. Still, she didn't want to discourage her and continued using the "sick patient" façade, "sister, you know how Joshua and I can't have children of our own."
"Y-Yes, I know, but you two can adopt or-"
Alina was so annoyed she couldn't help but raise her voice, "WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT WE CAN NOT HAVE CHILDREN!" her tears started streaming down her face as she gripped onto the bedsheets.
It hurt Yulia to see Alina this way, especially since it's been a year since they last saw one another. At this moment, she felt estranged from her little sister. Seeing her cry at the thought that she could not have a family of her own one day kept replaying on her mind.
