Peggy Underhill was a widow of an army sergeant, her Husband always said: stand up to bullies, they are only cowards. So when she saw that rat bag Darren yet again dealing drugs outside her tower block, she gave him a piece of her mind. What she didn't know was that Darren's gang were just round the corner and they were all in a very, very nasty mood. They had just been robbed of their drugs and were looking to take their anger out on someone.
They each took turns with a baseball bat to kill her then Darren ordered Jake, the slow kid of the gang, to dig her grave. But Jake thought to hell with that and dumped her body where everyone else dumps their rubbish and so he threw her corpse down into the old London water reservoir nearby. No one ever went down there. The corpse rolled fast as it went down the side of the reservoir. It came to a stop in a pile of earth and clay.
7 hours later...
Martin Cranberry had only been working for ChemPak Industries for 2 months when the boss came up to him and said: "Do you want to earn a little extra cash tonight?" What could he say he had two kids and a wife?
All he had to do was dump a pile of ChemPak LiteLife. A grow your own life in a Petri dish. It was going to be a fun new game for kids to discover how cells come to life. The stuff never made it passed the trial period as it kept growing out of control. ChemPak had 10,000 gallons of it. The cost of getting a company to safely take it away was a small fortune. So for £200 Martin took a lorry full of it late at night to a spot where everyone dumped their unwanted rubbish.
The Old London water reservoir.
Martin looked left then right; the water reservoir was in utter silence. He unscrewed the back tap on the truck and let 10,000 gallons of LiteLife thunder down the side of the reservoir like a tsunami. Within 5 minutes Martin was in his truck and back on the road with £200 in his pocket.
The liquid hit Peggy's body full on. It raced down her throat like a snake. Within an hour, something very strange began to happen. She began to move.
Peggy was coming back to life.
She opened her eyes and looked at the half moon above her. For the life of her she couldn't remember what it was called. She couldn't remember her name either, but it didn't bother her.
Painfully she got up; her joints were aching like hell, burning in fact. She felt dizzy and thirsty as she slowly scaled the side of the reservoir. But she felt much better when she caught a glimpse of the tower block. It felt safe to her so she decided to stagger towards it.
But as she got nearer, she spotted a man at the bottom of the tower block. He looked shifty; she thought his name might be Darren. A blinding rage swept over her and before she knew it, she was running towards him screaming "Coward!"
