The fragile and muted woman left the ocean born office. The Caucasian seemingly ruthless world head sighed, and let the act fall; for in reality she did not wish to fire the woman.
Miss Veronica Martin was a wonderful woman full of innovative and breath-taking ideas, not to mention the fact that she was strong, being a single mother, after finally getting out of an abusive relationship. It astonished Mrs. Canmore that she had not fought for her right and job. Veronica had not only taken her husband to court, after receiving various death threats from him, but she had also ensured him a life-time parole; which by itself was very hard to receive, considering the fact that the employees in that field were less to nothing. Furthermore, she would receive a monthly pay out from her ex-husband, to help raise her child, and he only had six times to meet with his daughter, in a supervised room, he was not allowed to touch her, or even come within five feet of her lovely daughter, Alyx.
One of the things that had come out to Rozalia was that there was no mention of the husbands name, even a picture; there were rumors that she had been married to a world head, but if that was the case then she would know, it is mandatory to everything about one another as a world head since deceit and lies had once tarnished the world and they were not about to make the same mistake. Yet, it was a luxury to have someone enthusiastic about their job, and not just think that it's a way for the living.
Mrs. Canmore only wished that she had met with that hard- headed woman, instead of a shell, accepting the terms thrown at her. She was not sure what had driven the woman to become such a shell. But she knew a navy man who would love her for what she deserves. For Rozalia knew the difficulties trying to raise a child as a single mother.
"Well, it seems that that went exceedingly well", a squeak had come from in front of her office.
It was one of the world heads, rather a coward who feeds off the dead, fearing the living. It was Mr. Philip Lancaster; he was the reason as to why Veronica had been fired. Mrs. Rozalia wore her game face again, to fire a person of Veronica Martins status, you needed all the worlds approval. There were twelve in total. Five of them had chosen fire whilst seven had decided not to, all scientists make mistakes, that doesn't that they should be fired. Rozalia had been part of the seven and so was Philip, but a verdict wasn't being reached, they wished to punish her, but not sure how. That's when Philip suggested that from the world head a team should be made who had manipulated and first hand experienced plasma, and fazing, only three from the team had been over that course. Philip, Harry and Judy, they were the only ones, but Rozalia wasn't concerned at the time, since Philip and Judy had both voted for her to stay, it took the council three and a half days to come to a verdict, and it was not one that Rozalia had favored. Philip had switched sides and decided to fire her, but she would receive money, a new job, a place to live on Earth, and her daughter would not be taken from her plus her breakthrough was accepted and her name would go down history.
"Why did you want to fire her", Rozalia questioned, unfamiliar with the tone of his voice. It was harsh and cruel, but that was regular, the hint of happiness was what ticked her off.
"You know I had a student, back when Jupiter went through its dark times, a young girl, Agatha Lakatos, her parents were dead and she would also die, but I took her in and raised her as my own. Now I don't even get a text message from her" he stated in a dreamy tone. Obviously, he was avoiding the question, but she couldn't anything about it.
Before Rozalia could engage him in another conversation about Veronicas past. A knock on the door came through disturbing the noise coming from Philip Lancaster so called mouth.
"you may come in general" Rozalia replied, hushing her tone. She already knew who it was, Noah Zibia, her adopted son Aces, childhood acquaintance. The boy was tall and had received the title general at only the age of 25, it didn't shock him, coming from the rich family such as his, he wanted a name of his own, so he made it. The boy stood tall with pride and his dirty blonde hair, gave him a deceivingly tall look, he was built like a true soldier and had the utmost respect for Rozalia and showed in his sea- green eyes and by keeping his manners straight.
"You replaced the beasts with humans for guarding?", was his first question, the British accent amplified his concern.
"I don't trust beasts, I would rather be around people, whom I know how to kill, than immortal beasts", Rozalia answered in a motherly tone.
"you cannot trust humans, their deceitful "he argued.
"Yes, but still kill able" she hushed him.
Before they could continue the tall rude man interrupted "Well, we don't have all day, lets get on with the meeting. So, is it true that Pluto has water, or not?" He flatly stated clearly in a rush.
"Yes, let me explain" and so Noah Zibia continued explaining, the possibilities for a habitat three.
But why Pluto was the only thing etching into Rozalias skin,
Why would a man like Philip be interested in a dwarf planet such as Pluto?
