"Hahahahaha…"
"Damian, what a funny joke you are telling."
Tan Jia Guang let out an awkward laugh and asked a question…
"You are serious?"
Damian Cheng took a deep breath, the sound of air flowing and sighing made Tan Jia Guang feel hopeless.
"Reason."
"I want a reason."
Tan Jia Guang demanded coldly, his heart bleeds out from the feeling of betrayal.
The coldness was felt by Damian Cheng, yet he did not back down. He knew since the day Tan Jia Guang changed, this will happen sooner or later.
His mouth opened as the answer flow out…
"DotA isn't fun anymore, even when we are winning."
"You know I used to play chess, the reason I played was that I like the feeling of winning. But when I play DotA with you and Bayani, I'm still happy even when I'm losing."
"Then you change, you want to go to TI. TI ruin you, it ruins the fun of DotA."
"So if you give me a choice whether I should join a team and go to TI the answer will still be…"
"No."
The fists of Tan Jia Guang turned from red to white as he clenched down hard. His eyes are slightly red as if the blood from his fists traveled to his eyes.
Under the sadness, anger, and confusion of his heart, Tan Jia Guang blurted out one sentence…
"Then let's have a bet, just like the first time we played together."
Damian Cheng understood what his friend wanted and stated the conditions: "If you can beat me in a match, I might think about it, but if you lose never bother me again."
Azel Mampusti who was standing beside there all this time finally decided to step in, he smiled and his eyes turned into a crescent shape as he asked…
"By match, you mean a 5v5, so you would need a team right?"
"How about this, Tan Jia Guang would play with us while Damian would play with his own team. Is it okay with the both of you?"
"Don't worry Damian, if you couldn't find anyone to play with I can call a few guys I know. Trust me, they won't play dirty."
Azel Mampusti's words feel like a trap waiting for Damian Cheng to walk in, but Damian Cheng decided to do something crazy.
"I really couldn't find players for position one, two, and four so I hope you can get me a few teammates. I also have one special request, I want the coach of SEA Hope to play with me."
'Take my carry, I take your coach.'
Naturally, Azel Mampusti knew what Damian Cheng wanted, but he did not blame him instead he merely lamented: "What a waste of talent if only I could get you to join SEA Hope too."
They then moved to the training room of SEA Hope, the sight was something similar to what Tan Jia Guang and Damian Cheng used to see.
Two rows of PC set up against each other, six for each row. It looked similar to your average cybercafé.
The biggest difference between SEA Hope's training room and a cybercafé is the large screen hanging on the wall while displaying the DotA2 map.
Players from both sides sat down to log in into their accounts while Nina Fox took out her phone and made a few calls.
"Yes, it's me and I need your help."
"Yes, I need you and the position four of team 1A."
"Yes, the money will be coming from Azel."
"Yes, I know how much you like to take his money."
"No, I won't go out on a date with you."
Nina Fox the keep her phone and told Damian Cheng to accept the friend requests from
Hearing those two names Damian Cheng was stunned as he thought to himself. 'The pos one and pos four from team 1A, the tier one team?'
Lo and behold, it was them. After that Damian Cheng messages someone…
<2moves>: Bayani, can you do me a favour?
Damian Cheng then started explaining everything that has transpired to Bayani Reyes, and finally asked Bayani Reyes for her answer once more…
Damian Cheng smiled as he typed in…
<2moves>: Thank you.
Ten players had done picking their heroes, the true battle starts now as the horn of war blows throughout the battlefield.
On the top and bottom side of the map, the polar opposites of the DotA2 world two heroes stood tall.
Damian Cheng and Tan Jia Guang.
Radiant and Dire.
The Shadow Priest and The Sacred Warrior.
Dazzle and Huskar.
The final battle between two friends shall begin!
