Chereads / Towards Godhood [Hiatus again] / Chapter 69 - Second round 4

Chapter 69 - Second round 4

As Du Huan exited the scene to train under Cao Cao for an unknown amount of time, Xiao Fan was hurrying to start treating the wounds she had done.

Du Lan, being carried by Xiao Fan into a small room where there was a stretcher, didn't look too good.

Seeing as during the fight her back had been ripped open and then there were a few fingers sized holes in the mix.

Even carrying her was a little dodgy because of this.

Still, with a little repositioning of hands, Xiao Fan easily in under a minute got her onto the stretcher so that he could start treating her with the Greenheart mix.

After they ripped the clothing open that she had covered her back, they could now see the everything there was to see.

Luckily it didn't look too bad.

Like Du Lan had done, Du Huan hadn't also gone for places like the heart or spine, so it shouldn't be too hard to stop the bleeding at least.

The only problem here seemed to be how Xiao Fan wanted to stay here to wait for her to wake up.

But couldn't do so, for there was a fight that he would be a part of soon.

Due to this, he only had a bit of time to apply the Greenheart on her back.

Moreover, doing that, Qian Ki, who likewise had begun to treat her was while applying the slime becoming a little interested in this slime.

Hearing a question regarding what this was, Xiao Fan told her about the secret of Greenheart without concern that she would expose it.

When Qian Ki got the idea, she could only laugh at how they were fooling the entire Ohin Continent with their product.

Her laughter became even louder as Xiao Fan told how he had acted to those youths who thought so badly of her.

To him, it seemed that Qian Ki couldn't be happier even if she knew this had happened before she had told about her practises.

But Xiao Fan didn't even get to enjoy her laughing for long either.

He still had that fight, and so he runs back into the arena.

The fight didn't take over five minutes so, there wasn't a whole lot of time.

Due to this, when going up, he tried to get his emotions to go down.

Thinking about Du Lan's condition wouldn't help him in the fight at all; moreover, he didn't have an advantage over his next opponent.

Because it was Shi Yong who was waiting for him on the stage.

Furthermore, like everyone else here, Shi Yong had also had a fruitful encounter.

Supposedly he had found a potion in his room.

What more was that the potion had made him breakthrough into the Second Grade of Body Activation realm.

Plus, Shi Yong was one of those lucky people who were born into a position where he owned a body weapon almost equal to Xiao Fan's.

On the note of Xiao Fan's weapon, Xiao Fan now remembered how the sword had been named the Rising Ruler by Du Lan.

Xiao Fan, unsheathing remembered how he didn't want to have such a provocative name for his sword.

Seeing as it was a small threat for every ruler, yet she had again convinced that how it might be good.

'For her sake...' He thought, and then himself began to refer it as the Rising Ruler.

When the Rising Ruler was unsheathed, everyone could see why it was named such, the light yellow that it reflected was a very noble sight which fitted Xiao Fan.

Shi Yong, who he hadn't met before exchanged some words of goodwill with him before the fight.

Then when those words had been spoken Xiao Fan and Shi Yong both run towards each other.

Soon the man with a red robe and a yellow sword met a white sword and a man with equally white clothes, yet neither gaining any advantage in the first bout.

Then it became a test of skills for a moment.

Both of them could for the inial bouts keep their stands before they would break into a more free exchange of stronger attacks.

During this test of skill, it would seem that Shi Yong was the one overpowering Xiao Fan with superior sword skills, but that wasn't so much that it could become a decisive advantage for him.

And soon both of them broke their stance and rhythm anyway.

Sword fighting wasn't an easy task for neither, and seeing that they were making more mistakes than succeeding, both agreed to end the skill part.

When it was ending, it was Xiao Fan who did so first.

He could only exchange some fifty times before his head became too filled with techniques and started to grumble.

Favourably for him, however, was that when Xiao Fan lost the rhythm, so did Shi Yong, who couldn't fight against a person who wasn't using real techniques for long.

At that point, both of them took a small retreat where again a few words about the other's skills were exchanged, mainly Xiao Fan giving him Shi Yong his well-earned compliments.

Then they tried a few more times to match in skill, which ended in Xiao Fan's robes being cut a little from the hands when he had done an oopsie.

Yet that was dodged by quick propulsion from his feet that stopped the whole exchange for a retreat where Shi Yong tried to chase Xiao Fan down unsuccessfully.

When Xiao Fan got enough breathing room, the fight had already gone for ten minutes.

And this was clearly showing on both of them.

At least the exhaustion showed during the second part of the fighting.

Where neither was doing anything constantly, for more time was spent waiting to gain enough strength to perform one significant attack.

Xiao Fan initiated the second part of the fight.

He lifted the Rising Ruler on top of his head and then used his legs to make a one-step charge toward his enemy, who would now try to guard against this move.

Coming at him, Xiao Fan swung his sword downwards with all the power he could muster.

Though it was a simple and a move that one could expect, blocking it would still be a different thing.

At first, Shi Yong managed to stop the blow.

By having one of his hands on the guard and the other one taking a grip from the blade.

Then the end result for a moment looked as if Xiao Fan would brutishly force his way through.

Yet that didn't happen either since when it was just about the hit Shi Yong's face the incoming blade stopped.

Now that the blade had stopped Shi Yong then had the opportunity to do something about this.

His plan? Muster all the strength he could for a move of his own of course.

His hand that was on guard pushed upwards so that Xiao Fan's sword slid to his side while the hand that had been gripping the blade would deal a blow to Xiao Fan.

On the other hand, Xiao Fan didn't have anything if his attack wouldn't succeed; he could only watch as his blade begun to slide towards the tip of Shi Yong's blade.

Next, there was pain around his stomach.

This pain he felt was Shi Yong's fist, now planted on his stomach, yet that pain lasted only for a moment since Xiao Fan second later sent flying.

The punch was the first real damage that either had done to the other, so Xiao Fan could still recover easily enough, but the recovery could only be done so many times.

As although he might not seem like it, he could feel that his intestines had shifted place a little during the shock wave penetrating into his body.

It was now one to zero for Shi Yong's favour, and during the next moments, it would go around those lines until both of them were becoming even more exhausted.

Still, both were fighting till the end even though both of them knew there would be rounds after this.

But what could they do if they surrendered?

Everything would be over, so until defeat was certain, there was no reason to end if one wasn't afraid of injury.

And neither was thinking about injuries anymore, for their bodies were already filled with those.

A new one would appear every time they exchanged strike, and the more when they threw away their weapons.

A body weapon had become too heave to be of use.

And so when Xiao Fan had seen Shi Yong throw away his and then shout him to abandon his had he done so.

From this the current situation had already brewed into a point where both sides had been exchanging haymakers which wasn't a beautiful sight.

The two of them were separated by a few meters as Xiao Fan felt that he might be able to win the match with the next blow as Shi Yong was in more pains even if he had taken fewer hits.

Though he had taken more than Shi Yong, he had an advantage.

The advantage? He had taken much more beatings during his life than someone like Shi Yong could imagine.

From the beating in the jailcell to the fighting with animals, his body didn't flinch much from a bruise anymore.

Now being beaten was simply giving a decisive advantage to Xiao Fan.

Shi Yong simply couldn't match Xiao Fan's resistance to pain so much, yet he would be the first to get a hit into Xiao Fan.

Shi Yong's fist was hurling at his face from the side, a place which wasn't guarded by Xiao Fan, who had been looking at him through his hands.

The fist hit Xiao Fan onto the jaw sending him flying for the umpteenth time during this fight.

Recovering at this point was another thing so Xiao Fan's landing this time was a crash landing, meaning rolling over on the stage until he stopped.

Then when he finally stopped, the first thing he did was to look at Shi Yong, but he wasn't coming at him.

For some reason, Shi Yong had chosen to chuckle?

Xiao Fan seeing this wasn't unpolite and slowly got up before both of them dragged their bodies to meet the other where they again exchanged a few punches.

In this exchange, he could feel how Shi Yong was really starting to be hurt.

His opponent couldn't even open his eyes much since they had also been hit during the bouts.

The victory was near and perceiving this Xiao Fan felt a small boost in his stamina.

The fight could be ended in one swift motion.

So with this newfound source of power, his two hands were lifted over his head before they came crashing down on Shi Yong's forehead.

Shi Yong just couldn't take it anymore, and from it fell into the ground by the pressure which this attack had made him feel.

Xiao Fan still standing in the ring could celebrate.

For he was again one step closer to the top three, yet his celebration was only a smile similar to what Shi Yong had made.
