"Good luck on your first day!" Parker bid her. She then stopped in her tracks, and went back to Parker. He was about six inches taller than her, so she asked him to get down. And before Parker knew it, Violet planted a light peck in his cheek before running towards the campus.
"You silly little... " he chuckled to himself
After being oriented, she proceeded on looking for her room. She was already quite tired though because she wasn't used to large crowd, so she was walking with her mind half blank. While walking on the corridors, a young girl with long flowing Crimson-red hair, about Violet's age, came running through, "I'm late, I'm late! I can't be late on the first day! " she was so hurried that she didn't noticed Violet, who was also not aware she was there, so they both bumped on each other.
The other girl had more momentum, so Violet should fall down. But thanks to Parker's daily trainings way back during the war, she was an experienced hand to hand combat fighter, and she immediately regained balance. But the girl tripped on Violet's leg and lost her balance.
Again, thanks to Parker's trainings, Violet also developed high level mental coordination. Violet caught her just before she hit the guy in front of her, and could've caused a human domino, "Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere? " Violet asked
"Uh, N-No... I'm fine, I'm fine... " she replied
"Why are you such in hurry? "
"Classes are starting aren't they?! You should hurry! You might get late as well! "
"Huh? Orientation just ended... Classes should start an hour later. " she explained
"But... " then she took out her glasses and looked at her watch, "It says-"
"Your watch is set, a little advanced. " Violet smiled
"Oh, I messed up again... " she sadly said
"By the way, my name is Violet. " she said sticking out her hand
"Oh, where are my manners?! Scarlett! Scarlett Devonshire! "
"Well Scarlet, let me tell you something... Quit cramming. See? It ruins your beauty. " Violet as she fixed some of her ruined facial features
"Uh, I don't see how I'm that... Beautiful... " she shyly said as she blushed
Violet managed to fix Scarlett's ruined appearance, "There... All set! "
When Scarlett took a look on a mirror, she did looked much better, "Uhm, thank you... Violet. "
"So, shall we get ourselves used to this campus? "
"Together...? "
"Haha... Why not? " she giggled
The two were fast friends and took a tour on the entire campus, hand to hand. They chatted away as if they know each for a long time. They spent the entire hour roaming the school, until their first class is about to start, "Should we already be going? " Scarlett asked
"Mmm....! "
Violet went to class 1, where she belongs. Then she notices Scarlett's still beside her, "Uh, this is my room... Shouldn't you be going to your class as well...? "
"Uhm, this is my class... " she replied
"... "
"... "
"WE BELONG TO THE SAME CLASS! " they exclaimed
Inside the class, they naturally get to introduce themselves on the first day. Most of Violet's classmates, have relatives that never returned from the war, so most of them got quite emotional.
Violet turned her story upside down and told them that she was living with both parents, and also were unscathed by the war. Most of her classmates envied her that she still get to have a complete happy family, but unknown to them, everything she had was burned in the war; her home, her entire family, her dreams, and even the person she used to loved.
Parker was only able to return some of them, but it was better than remaining empty handed. She was thinking about these things as she was introducing herself, and she almost shed a tear, "Lucky you... " said Scarlett, who was seating beside her, "But you seem pretty sad while speaking. "
"It was nothing... "
Violet spent the entire day attentively in class, and was finally going home. Suddenly, Scarlett invited her for some coffee at the place's most popular coffee shop, "Come on, please... I want to get to know you more! "
"If you insist, do I have a choice? "
Scarlett dragged Violet to the coffee shop, just on the neighboring street. But before they went inside, Violet thought the she should at least tell Parker about it, "Scarlett wait... " then she called on a payphone just beside them, but it was Mrs. Lockwood who picked up, "Uhm, Mrs. Lockwood? Could you tell my Parker that if he picks me up, I'm at the coffee shop beside the campus? "
"Oh, yes sure Madam! Anyways, he'll be quite late though because the car keeps stalling its engine. The Master is fixing it. " Mrs. Lockwood replied on the phone
"I see... "
When Violet put the phone down, she suddenly thought that she said something awkward, "... My Parker? " then her face reddened. What's worse, Scarlett heard her!
"I-It's not what you think! " she tried to explain to the Scarlett, with a mouth wide open
"Y-Your Parker...? What on earth is going on..? "
"Sigh... You caught me already, can I still evade? Let's talk about it inside... "
When they got themselves seats, Violet felt that she needed to go to the comfort room, "Excuse me for a while. "
As she left, the most top ranking waiter in the shop came to take their order, "Excuse me, ma'am... May I take your order? "
Scarlett felt that that she was lifted in heaven, upon seeing the man in front of her. He had a built slender body, a develishly handsome face, and red sexy eyes. Even his voice was enough to her heart keep on pounding, "Can I take... You? "
"Uh... Ma'am? " Peter was used to having female customers admiring him, but not like this one, ordering him!, "Uh, sorry ma'am I didn't heard. Could you repeat? " he just tried to divert the situation
Lucky was him, Scarlett woke up from her fantasies, "Oh! Sorry! I uh... I uh.... I'll take... " Scarlett couldn't get herself to calm down, but finally she got to get themselves two cups of cuppucino and two cupcakes.
"Oi, Peter! You seem out of it again? " Otto said
"Nothing... It's just some weird girl ordered me, instead of coffee... " then Otto and the owner bursted out laughing, "Oi! What's so funny?! "
When Violet returned to the table, Scarlett returned to her fantasies, "Scarlett! Scarlett! Hey, Scarlett! " she called her multiple tines before she woke up again
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! It's just a prince came visiting me... " she said blushing
"Daydreamer...! " Violet laughed. Then she noticed something, "Oh! I left my bag! Wait a minute... " she said to Scarlet.
Then again, just as she left Peter went back to their table, "Here is your order, ma'am... " Scarlett just wouldn't remove her eyes off Peter, making him uncomfortable, "Is there anything more, ma'am? " Scarlet refused to talk, and just stared at him. He just nodded his head as respect, and left.
"Hey, you're daydreaming again...! " Violet said as she returned
"Ah! You missed the chance again! You should've seen that hotness , handsomeness, muscles, sexy eyes... Ah! all in one pack! " she squealed
"Haha, you're insane! " Violet laughed
While taking their time, Violet finally thought of over, and decided to tell Scarlett the truth, "Uhm, Scarlett about what I said back in school... Uh, they're all lies... "
"Huh? What do you mean? "
"My parents.... They were killed in the war... "
"Oh... I'm sorry. "
"My home, my entire family, my dreams... All were burned in the war. My superior, Lieutenant Parker, kept me, and I live with him now. I'm sorry for hiding it from you. "
"It's ok, I understand. You just want to hide your sorrows from us right? I feel you, Violet. Just remember, if you need someone to talk to, I'm here... " Scarlett comforted
"Thank you. I'm glad I have a friend like you...! '" for the first time, Violet finally found someone who she freely open herself up to.
When they finished, Parker was still nowhere to be seen, so Violet got a little worried, "Where is he? " she thought. Then a little later, a soft, warm kiss was planted on her forehead
"Did you missed me? " Parker's voice teased from behind her
"You...! Scarlett's looking! "
"Let her see how much I love you... " Violet's face turned red, and she covered her face
"Haha, anyways, thank you for taking of her. May the both of you get along better. "
Parker hailed her a cab and paid her fare, "T-Thank you, Mr. Parker... "
"No worries. Take it as gratitude for befriending my Violet. "
Violet bid farewell to her new friend, and went with Parker to their car. As Parker opened the door for her, Violet pinched his cheek as her face burned red, "Parker...! You...! "
"Hahaha-Ow! Stop it, hahaha! "
