The butler placed the letter in front of Qin Nanyu, holding back his words. He thought that the young master ran away from home just to oppose Qin Nanyu.
After all, no child could endure a father who not only didn't help fulfill their wishes but suddenly gave them a beating.
Well, now it was happening. The little one was ready to rebel.
"Let me see."
Qin Nanyu reached for the letter and, seeing the handwriting, furrowed his brow.
Handwriting this ugly, and he still dared to write him a complaint letter?
"I, Qin Morui, am four years old this year." Qin Nanyu paused.
Was this a complaint letter or a self-introduction? The name was correct, but the handwriting was so terrible that even a mother wouldn't recognize it.
Qin Nanyu sneered and continued reading, "I have a tyrant of a dad, and I hate him."
This needed correction. They both hated each other.
"I'm leaving and never coming back!" Not knowing how to write "leaving," he'd drawn a footprint instead, which was very poorly done.
Below it was a string of random black dots and dashes, which the butler called a drawing.
The butler had not understood, but Qin Nanyu saw at a glance that the brat was cursing him in Morse code.
The curses were genuine, probably using every bad word the kid knew.
Good job!
Qin Nanyu casually tossed the letter aside and picked up his phone to continue calling his secretary to arrange work, looking calm as if he had no idea that his son had run away from home.
"Young Master Yu, aren't you going to look for the young master? He's so young. What if he really gets lost?" The butler rubbed his hands, eyes full of concern.
In everyone's eyes, even though the young master was smart beyond his years, he was only four, and with his angelic looks, what if he met strangers, or worse, swindlers...
The butler was so anxious he wished he could make the decision for Qin Nanyu and have him quickly find the boy.
"What's the hurry? If he doesn't want a dad, let him see what the world without one is like. Whether he comes back or not is up to him." Qin Nanyu hung up the phone, rolled the letter Qin Morui left into a ball, and with a flick of his hand, it accurately landed in the trash can.
The brat seemed to exist solely to annoy him every day.
Did he really think he was the only one who didn't want a dad?
A son who couldn't act cute or charming, only glared and puffed in anger, he found quite tiresome too.
If he wanted to leave, let him. If he had the guts, he should never come back.
"Young Master Yu, that won't do. Even if not for the young master, consider the old master's feelings. You know, the old master cherishes his great-grandson the most. If he finds out the young master has run away, he might get so anxious his heart condition could flare up!" The butler urgently reminded from the side.
Upon hearing this, Qin Nanyu's eyes flickered slightly, his expression changing a bit.
His grandfather was old and had a heart condition, unable to take any shock.
The butler's words were not an exaggeration.
Qin Nanyu put down his work, rubbed his brows, and asked with patience, "When was he missing?"
"About an hour ago. An hour ago, the nanny brought him something to eat and saw him sitting at the table writing and drawing…" The butler glanced at the letter Qin Nanyu had thrown into the trash can and stopped talking.
The young master wasn't drawing; he was clearly filing a complaint against his own dad.
Qin Nanyu stood up, picked up his phone, and started to walk out. The butler quickly followed behind him. "Young Master Yu, should we notify the bodyguards to go look? In just an hour, the young master shouldn't have gone far."
