Chapter 5 - chapter 5- What am I?

I felt his presence vanish and it was as if time started once more. I h trembled in the corner and flinched when the sounds of screams filled the air. I could hear my father's cursing and my mother's muffled screams being carried across the winds like a smothering blanket.

I crawled weakly towards the shed door and pushed feebly against it, gasping softly when it opened widely. Two sets of feet stood before me. I glanced up and there stood my little sister and older brother. One crying and holding me while the other glaring daggers deep into my skin.

"It's your fault." He growled out harshly, shoving Alisin out of the way then grabbed my hair tightly, yanking me upwards with great strength.

My eyes clenched tightly as I tried desperately to pry off my fathers death tight grip. I kicked and bucked about as he dragged me further from the shed, further from the bit of protection I had and ever further from my lovely, crying little sister.

"It's your fault, it's all your fault. We shouldn't have taken you in. No matter how much money they had given and promised us. Your a curse. A devil disguised as a child!" Throwing me to the ground my father, or the monster I onced thought of as my father, took out a small curved dagger.

His eyes seemed wild, almost as if though he had been possessed. He loomed over me but I didn't care, his words where still thundering in my mind. 'What did he mean? What money? What promise?'

The pain brought me back in full force. In the center on my stomach the dagger my 'father' just held was plunged deep into me. I could hear his crazed laugh faintly over the pounding out my heart. The figure of him towering over me was gradually getting blurrier and then I couldn't see. The sound of his laughter stopped and a blood curdling scream erupted through his throat and the sound of growls could be heard in the mix.

A strong smell of blood filled my nose and I feebly grasped my stomach, I could hear my voice as if though it was someone else talking. After sometime the sound of 'fathers' screams ceased and silence surrounded me once again.

The soft cries of someone calling out my name could be heard but it didn't sound near. It sounded familiar but I couldn't gather my strength to respond to it and let my tears trickle down my cheeks silently.

Prying open my eyes I could make out the faint figure of someone looming above me. The gleaming red eyes flashed and the darkness took me once again.
