Chapter 141 - Chapter 140 To weak, really weak

Myth flushed in his question, she immediately explained here reason, only to be embarrassed by her sudden realization.

"Well...it's because I thought that wine would be pretty with their white appearance and--oh...Oh! I'm sorry, I forgot about it."

Apparently, Myth chose wine because of how beautiful it becomes when in contrast to the twins elegant and pure white appearance. Never did she thought though, that their hair color would change and turn blonde.

"It doesn't matter, red still looks pretty with blonde." Airi complimented although with reluctance.

As if reading his mind, Livi casually remarked his thoughts similar to his. "I don't why, but their hair being blonde kinda irritates me."

Of course, he said that with his usual playful yet mischievous smile making it sound creepy.

Pouting with her arm crossed, Myth snorted, "Hmph! You boys don't know how to appreciate, I think it's really beautiful!"

Kira though, despite their bickering, sat their quietly, fiddling with her hair as she stared at it fixedly.

Her hair now looked so much like their mother that she unconsciously longed for after knowing their existence as she looked at their portrait. However, she also felt that she liked her snow-white hair better after finding herself rather weird looking when wearing a flowy white dress with her blonde hair. Thinking of this made her raise her hands and remove the ribbon tied on her hair.

Looking at her, Kin sat by her side and waited for everyone to settle.

"It's very important to disguise your hair color as it reveals your identity and attracts unwanted attention. Especially for white heads like you." He begun to explain.

"Is white hair really that rare?" Livi asked in curiosity.

Kin nodded in response and Miha explained for them to understand. "White is pure magic and white can also be inherited from unique bloodline. People will either find it dangerous or a good catch for illegal trafficking in black market."

"There's such thing?" Kishi asked in shock.

"There are a lot of bad people out there so you should be very careful." Miha said slightly emphasizing her last words.

She then turned to Airi disappointed and scolded him harshly. "I thought you know this very well already, Airi. Yet, can be so careless?"

Startled by her sudden assault Airi quickly retorted. "It wasn't entirely my fault. Besides, it has nothing to do with my lovely hair."

She could only sigh as she shook her head. "Anyway, you must always remember that. You too Celes, and Livi too."

"I know that already but it's just difficult for poor people like me to have such valuable items. That's why I always wear a hood. Well, that's in the past." Celes muttered to herself quiet enough for the other's not to hear.

"Also, you must take care of how you act when on public." Aqua said with a face completely void of emotion as he sat on the desk while reading a book. "You must learn how to get rid of your overly elegant demeanor. If not, youre just giving yourself away no matter how good you disguise your appearance."

"That's right! learn from me." Kin proudly said but everyone just ignored him.

"I think that's too difficult." Livi tilted his head. "Sensei! Could you teach us something easier? This is too advanced."

"This is going to be difficult." With a stiff and restless smile, Aspen sighed.

"I bet it is." Sugar resigned with her hand covering her face.

It was already night and the moon were gleaming beautifully in the pitch-black sky.

In Kira's room, she opened one of the tall windows and the curtains fluttered gently along with the soft wind.

She went to the bathroom and proceeded to take a bath. She undressed herself and soaked in the warm water.

She sat there quietly. The bath was too big she felt uncomfortable and lonely bathing there alone. Unable to stay there any longer she stood up and wiped her petite body with towel to dry herself up.

In her dressing room, as a rich young lady, her wardrobe was filled with so many dresses. All of them were white without exception. She also had so many jewelries and most of them were gifts that her brother gave her which she treasures so much.

Standing there at the middle of the room, mirrors were around her in four directions and reflection looked back at her with a frown.

The mirrors reflected her small body and frail appearance. She was naked with only the cloth she was holding covering her childish and small body.

Staring at her reflection, she found herself ugly. Really ugly!

Disgusted and tired of looking at her ugly self, she quickly got dressed with a flowy white dress.

She left the dressing room and stared at through the window she opened up earlier. Seeing the moon, it felt so depressing. She was tired. She kept her smile in front of the others in fear of worrying them throughout the day she was drained exhausted.

In truth, she was sad and lonely beyond hope she wanted to cry herself out. She thought that her mood would lighten up after she got back to school with the others than being stuck at the palace alone. She became really tired though even after only a day had passed. Even so, she thought that this was better than being alone all day. At least, there is something to keep her head away from those miserable thoughts.

With her being tired physically and mentally, she finally decided to sleep. She had to brush her hair first though, but she finds it a bother since she always had trouble taking care of her extravagantly long hair. Instead, she just decided to rest early and ask the fairies to help her with it tomorrow.

Although it had been a busy day and she was extremely tired, she had forgotten something rather important.

...

Meanwhile, Kishi was at the balcony, staring at the distance with the gentle wind caressing his cheeks.

"You're still not asleep?" A familiar voice asked him.

Turning his head, he saw Livi floating in the air not far from him. His half blue half yellow eyes glimmering under the moonlight.

"What do you want?" Kishi coldly asked.

"I came here to speak with you of course." Livi answered with a light chuckled.

Kishi eyed him suspiciously, but he didn't speak further. "Say...?" Livi floated upside down, staring at Kishi while forcing him to look at him. "Do you believe it?"

His sudden question startled him. Squinting his eyes, he asked. "What do you mean?"

Livi smiled. "Do you believe it? That Kira will be fine by herself."

Kishi was totally stunned and was rendered speechless. But he did not make himself obvious and looked at Livi with a calm expression. The boy on the other hand, chuckled and smiled playfully as he dances in the wind.

"Did you forget? Kira's really weak she couldn't even stand or walk properly without tripping herself or falling down without the need to depend on you. So, do you still believe it? A clumsy weak little girl like her surviving in this cruel world alone. As for me, I don't believe it. What about you? do you?" Livi stared at him fixedly with his innocent and curious eyes, awaiting his answer.

Kishi got what he wanted to say. Kira was indeed far too weak he needed to stand by her side and hold her hand so that she would not stagger or trip that she would hurt herself. He needed to carry her as she gets tired really easily. He needs to stay by her side always to look after her for she collapses and faints rather frequently. He needs to be mindful and pay close attention to her always in case something wrong might occur to her. He needs to always be gentle afraid that he might hurt her. He also needs to be patient and take good care of her as she has the tendency to get sick just by being exposed to the slightest of cold. But most of all, he must always be there for her so that she wouldn't be afraid and tremble in the darkness. She must have someone to lean on so that she could endure the pain only she knew and no one else could understand.

She is really clumsy, don't know how to take care of herself, and she doesn't even know how to dry her hair after a bath before going to sleep.

She's a small child, a weak little girl that someone needs to look after. She's just so weak. Too weak.

"That's none of your business." He snapped coldly.

Livi's playful smile vanished as he looked at Kishi sternly and full of remorse. "You're not protecting her this way."
