Chapter 140 - Chapter 139 Protect

Yue instantly realize that these children are under estimating the spirits' power. "Spirits aren't only used as weapons. They could also be used to store or amplify your magical energy without the need to use them as a sword that cuts your enemy." He corrected them.

"Even if you're a master conjurer, a high enchanter, a summoner, or whatever you are, spirits could also be useful to you in a different way than being an actual weapon." Yue explained.

Taking a deep breath, he gestured towards the box he brought. "To those who still doesn't have a spirit, take one from this box. All of you without exception."

Although reluctant, the students did so anyway. One by one, they picked up jewelries they fancy.

It was Livi's turn and he was the last. He picked up a brooch and it turned into a long and thin sword.

Seeing that he was already done, Yue gazed around the room again and noticed the twins sitting there still. Apparently, they still didn't take any spirits and didn't even bother to make a move.

"I thought I said all of you without exception." He glared at them yet they still didn't move an inch.

Livi returned to his seat and looked at Kira who was sitting beside him. "Why aren't you picking one?"

Kira looked at him for a moment before she answered. "Well...we each already got at dozen at least, but...Fuffy wouldn't allow it." She said while cuddling Fuffy harder.

Livi stared fixedly at the stuffed toy she was hugging. Then all of a sudden, the little fox plushie came to life and stared back warily at him.

It was staring at him fiercely but Livi smiled and patted its fluffy head. "I didn't know you have a companion spirit. But it's good that you do."

Hearing him said that, Fuffy calmed a little and let the boy pat its head. Livi then bent down and whispered to Fuffy's fluffy ears, "Take care of your master okay."

Yue on the other hand, looked at the white four-tailed fox in the girl's arms and sighed. "A protective spirit huh?"

Fuffy seemed to be over protective of her masters that she refuses to trust other spirits, especially the spirit weapons in fear that they may harm them in any way.

"Oh well." Yue sighed. "We can't do anything about that. With the lack of capable enough spirit, the two of you wouldn't be able to participate in this class but, I still recommend you two to still come. What you'll learn here will be pretty useful when you find a spirit that will be suitable enough for you."

"I have a question." Livi raised a hand.

"Yes, what is it?"

"We can have multiple spirit's, right? Does that mean I'll be able to have one more than this one?"

Yue looked at him for a moment and hesitated for a bit before he answered. "Normally, I wouldn't recommend it. Having multiple familiars when you couldn't even tame a single one would be rather dangerous. However, since it's you, I suppose having even ten, it wouldn't make a difference."

"You sacred royals are unfair" Rex poutingly complained.

"is there even anything fair to you?" Airi spat.

...

It was already lunch break and almost every student lazily crowded the cafeteria, creating a lot of noise as they chatted.

The atmosphere of the cafeteria was warm and welcoming, yet at the same time, very elegant and luxurious as it had always been.

The style of the place changed though as there was now a second floor where the tables are small allowing only a few students to sit in and giving them some privacy unlike the large round tables where the whole class would be able to fit.

With the school's custom, it was naturally rare to see students wear their uniform for the whole day, as such the cafeteria was filled with various colors of the student's features and clothing's.

In the E-class's table, as usual, everyone except Akamura would share the large table together. And just like earlier this morning, Airi sat between the twins, leaving him in an awkward and tense situation, making the whole table feel gloomy.

Livi, who was sitting beside Kishi could not fathom how only three students could affect the atmosphere of the whole table that is so big, more or less thirty students could sit in but is still relatively spacious.

Airi looked really pitiful as he gazed at the others with a pleading look yet they all ignored him turning their heads sideward.

He did not know what to do or who to speak to first. Celes warned him not to speak with the twins both at the same time which means he had to choose between the two of them who to speak to first. But thinking about it, it's much better that he did not know anything at all as that makes things easier for him.

Airi tried to get those complicated thoughts out of his head and just decided to speak with both like he normally does. He opened his mouth to speak, but before a word came out, Livi spoke first.

"There's too many people here." He said while looking around with his spoon still on his mouth. "I wonder how you got used to it."

Kishi gave him a sidelong glance and said to him "I thought you're so good at it, being in crowds but still very confident with yourself."

Livi glanced at him and chuckled inwardly. Clearly, he was upset with his indirect assault earlier, he now wanted to take revenge on him.

With a smirk, he replied smartly. "Well, I could introduce myself and could speak with some, but I'm still a lonely boy who grew up in the palace alone without anyone to talk to. The only thing is, I'm not that worse I'll shudder when people look at me."

Kishi noticed he was turning his question against him and was secretly making fun of him. This boy sure loves making a bad impression on everyone, Kishi felt like he doesn't want to spend some time with him at all. Yet in the end, it's not like he's the one pushing himself to him.

"What's up?" Livi asked when he saw Kishi staring at him.

The latter quickly averted his gaze and said in response. "Nothing." I just thought you're annoying. He wanted to say that but he didn't dare voice it out when he just only met the guy.

Noticing Kishi avoiding to have a conversation with him, Livi couldn't help but smile. He liked this aloof side of his. It was simply interesting.

He wanted to talk to him more but he restrained himself and just continued eating his food. He mustn't be hasty and take his time.

After lunch, they went back to their class. Being a special class, in their first year they only have four subjects that is mainly on cultivating their abilities and widening their knowledge about magic. But now that they are second years, the dean decided to make them take regular classes as she thought that they are focusing themselves on making their magic grow a bit too much.

Because of that, their classes doubled and they now have to take art, music, and other similar things that would help them grow into suitable heirs so that they may not embarrass themselves in elegant banquets and social gatherings.

And after all their class ended, when most of the students would be at the library, Miha, Aqua, Tsusu, Chisu, Sugar, Myth, Rai, Aspen, Kin, Kishi, Kira, Livi, Airi, Celes, Yin, Yang, Rex, Lune, and Red went to a empty classroom and proceeded with their extra class.

"Alright, how should we do this?" Kin pondered as the nine of them thought of ways to help these troublesome lot not get themselves in trouble whenever they would leave school.

Of course, all of them were unwilling but they were threatened that if they won't, the fourteen of them would be banned from going outside of their school and their homes for a whole year. They didn't buy it at first, but considering the dean and their teachers, especially their parents, they would surely make sure that they wouldn't be able to escape from their watch at all.

Being pampered children, their parents always kept a lose tie on them and always lets them have fun. That is also the reason why they only get scolded when they without permission went on dangerous adventures. But if their parents would want to, they as children wouldn't be able to take a step outside and disappear from the watch of their nannies. Knowing that, they had no choice but to listen and do as they were told.

"Let's teach them the importance of hiding their hairs first." Tsusu was the first one to speak after long silence.

"Sister's right. I bet that would be the most important thing too." Chisu agreed.

"Now that you mention it,..." Myth walked closer to them and tied a pretty wine colored ribbon with golden laces in Kira's long, silky white hair. "There. Doesn't it look pretty on you?"

Kira's snow-white hair then instantly changed color from the roots to the tips. It surprisingly turned blonde just like her mother.

Myth also tied a fluffy fur ball with the same color as Kira on the end of Kishi's braided hair on the right. His hair turned blonde also, and other's find it very pretty.

"Why red though?" Kin asked her in protest.
