Chapter 134 - Chapter 133 Not a liar

It was the first fall and the start of a new term. The students arriving at various means; getting down their carriages led by winged horses, jumping down form their dragons or unicorns as if showing off, and a few who walks out of the magic circles that connects the school in various places through magic crystals.

It was a busy morning, full of vigor and excitement of the students who can't wait to return or to start their studies.

They all excitedly walked through the large gate, the entrance into their paradise, their kingdom.

They were once again in Magic high and the summer had finally ended.

"Kishi, Kira, are you prepared for your speech as the school prince and princes? You'll be having one at the opening ceremony." Airi asked them as he led the way.

"Wait, since when?!"

Airi looked at them with confusion. "What? Didn't anyone tell you? You two had been elected as the school prince and princess since after the winter break."

"Airi...that should be your job." Looking at where the voice came from, Bubblegum sighed.

Mythica, Rex, and Lune were also there. They came to meet them and they happened to overheard their conversation.

"Wait, so you're saying it's my fault?!" Airi asked, pointing a finger at himself.

"Of course it is idiot."

"Rex, I don't want to be called idiot by someone like you." Airi pouted. "Besides, what can I do? A lot had happened you know. There is no time and I eventually forgot it. It's not my fault."

"Well, since you admitted it, you should take responsibility." Mythica cuddled Kira and looked at Airi with a smirk.

"I agree." Said Bubblegum with an expressionless face. "Do you actually believed that those two would be able to say even a single word in front of all the students?"

Airi looked at the twins. No matter how much he thought about it, she was right. Those two would probably just freeze from fright. Especially right now that the two of them are in major chaos.

Sighing, Airi placed a hand on his forehead, clutching a bundle of his pink tipped hair. "Should I ask the old hag about this?"

"No." Mythica disagreed. "We can't disgrace our class. I'm sure Kishi and Kira would be just fine."

"You sure?" Rex raised a brow.

"Hmm! I'm sure!"

Even if Mythical said it, looking at the twins, one would highly doubt it. Kira looked at everyone with an innocent look as if she did not understand what they were talking about.

And Kishi, he just stood there still, full of aloofness. Clearly, he is unwilling, but if he said something, the others would think he's scared and that would surely tarnish his pride.

"I don't know about that, but whatever." Airi waved his hand wearily.

"I also need to go." Celes spoke. "the dean asked me to come first so see you guys later." She waved at them and left for the dean's office.

"That sister is the new girl right." Rex asked looking at where Celes disappeared to.

"Yeah, she's the one." Airi nodded

"She's so mysterious...and weird."

Airi didn't know why, but Rex's words sounded funny for some reason. He just decided to ignore it in the end like he heard nothing.

They all proceeded, joining the other students. The opening ceremony will start soon and they were all supposed to go to the school's auditorium.

The weird thing about their school, is that the place changes every year.

The designs of every building changes and some even changed locations. Just like the main building where classroom of E-class was located changed its form.

It used to be like a roman styled building but is now Russian styled. All the other structures also faced the same. And because of that, the students could easily lose their way despite studying there for years.

But the changes of the school every end of summer serve a purpose. It is so that the student's will not know where the secret passages are and the secret rooms.

In that way, everyone will have a fresh start without any privileges just like the first years. It makes the competition between the student's fair so that everyone will be given an equal chance for a new start.

The rankings are also reset. But of course, the positions of every student in the school, like the student councils and the tittle of prince and princess would never be replaced until the students who claimed it would graduate.

The boys walked ahead of the girls as they all quarreled and played jokes at each other. On the other hand, the girls walked silently, waiting for someone to speak first.

"Kira, is there something wrong?" Mythica asked worriedly, doubtful if it was right for her to ask.

"Huh? No, I'm fine. There's nothing wrong." Kira denied nervously.

Although she said she's fine, Bubblegum and Mythica didn't buy it. "Kira, since when are you a liar?" Bubblegum asked her suspiciously.

Kira was dumbfounded she couldn't answer.

"Sugar is right. Those stupid boys may not notice it, but you can't hide it from us." Said Mythica. "Kira, did you and Kishi fight? Normally, you would stick to him like glue and the two of you will always be together unless we forced you away from him."

Mythica continued to stare at her with an anxious face while Kira avoided her gaze as she hugged fuffy tightly in her arms. "Yet...you're keeping distance from him...."

Biting her lip, Kira clenched her fist tighter her knuckles turned white and her hands trembled.

"He'll only get mad if I get too close to him. So, it's better if I keep my distance."

The two girls were slightly stunned by her answer. "What...what happened...?"

All of these were indeed to sudden. None of them heard any news from Kishi and Kira during the whole summer break. And the last time they say them, Kishi was holding Kira protectively in his arms not letting her go even for a second. Then all of a sudden, the two of them were separated.

They were like a magnet. Sticking to each other not wanting to let go, then just flip it and the two of them will not stick no matter how much they were pushed together.

It was all so sad. The two of them might be weird but they were beautiful together.

"Nothing." Kira quickly lied. "I'll need to go somewhere, don't wait for me."

Kira left leaving the other two behind. "Shouldn't I have asked?"

"You did no wrong. But the subject's just too sensitive." Bubblegum told her.

Meanwhile, Kira walked away from them until she came to a place away from the crowd.

She unconsciously brought herself to one of the school's gardens where the lake is located.

She trembled as she held fuffy tighter. Gritting her teeth in frustration, she could not get any comfort; she can't calm herself, tears immediately welled in her cheeks.

"Liar." An unfamiliar voice spoke.

Kira looked up and she found a boy whose hair is white, glimmering gold under the sun's light.

She didn't expect someone would be there she quickly wiped her tears with the back of her hand, yet her tears won't stop flowing.

The boy smiled at her. It was warm and gentle. It wasn't like the one she used to see, yet it was somehow calming. His eyes were really beautiful just like a pure blue lake, but the lower half of both his eyes were yellow like the sun.

"You said nothing's wrong but now you're crying. Lying won't get you anywhere you know."

She may not like what he's saying but she can't deny they were true. No matter how much she tries to conceal it, her heart is filled with pain. Her tears were overflowing especially since she tried to hold them back for so long so that her friends would not worry. But that's just not who she is.

She's not a liar.

"W-what would you know?!" she meekly spoke with her trembling voice. "Who are you? You know nothing about me,"

"Who I am does not matter. Either way, you'll know soon enough."
