Chapter 126 - Chapter 125 Alone again

The night sky of that summer day was glimmering brightly. There are thousands of stars and there is not a single cloud. It was beautiful and charming like diamonds glittering beautifully.

Kishi took a while to made up his mind. Truthfully, he does not wish to let go of her at all. He loved her so dearly he did not want her to get hurt. But what choice does he really have? He did not want to be the one to end her life, but what can he really do to prevent it?

Clover is just too cruel as to not let these children have a happy and peaceful life. They were always given difficult choices to make it seem like they have a choice but they really do not.

As Kishi lay in the bed beside her, hugging her tightly, he can't help but fell in daze as he looked at her.

Tears started to flow from her eyes again, followed by a small and weak groan. "Don't leave me..."

Kishi smiled at her and caressed hair. She so weak and fragile she'll surely break this time.

"Don't cry, brother here will be sure to protect you." He whispered to her softly with a sad smile on his face.

Kira did stop crying when she heard his voice. She seemed to have calmed down a little.

As he caressed her hair, Kishi held a bundle of her white silky hair and kissed it as he whispered to her in a regretful, fearful and sad tone.

"Kira, you need not to worry about anything. You should always remember that your dear brother will love you always, so don't cry anymore. I hate seeing you cry." He said. "Be strong. I'm sorry but I must protect you. Don't be sad."

After that, he carefully released her from his embrace and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead.

He was about to leave her when suddenly, a weak force held his fingers.

Looking back, Kishi saw that she had already woken up. Her eyes are opened weakly and tears are flowing from it relentlessly. Her hand that held onto him is shaking. She cried to him in a quiet and frail voice.

"Nisan....don't, don't leave....if you leave, you won't come back...don't leave me. Onii-chan...please...."

Kishi didn't say anything. He only smiled to her sadly, then turned his back and left.

Kira felt so weak she didn't have the strength to hold him. He just left until he disappeared into the darkness. She can only lay there, crying as she watches him disappear.

She woke up from a nightmare. A nightmare she didn't want to see ever in her life.

It was her biggest fear. Not only was she alone, but all her biggest fears are there as well.

Although she resisted, she later on fell unconscious again and the darkness gradually enveloped her.

She was not as confident about it before. Kishi was no longer there, and she was alone. She's scared more than ever. Even more so when she was locked up in that dark place for four years, and even more so when a forbidden ritual was being performed in her.

She's scared, she doesn't want to be alone.

A child was crying behind a bush in a beautiful garden. She was really pretty and was simply adorable.

Her hair was white and reaches to her waist, tied elegantly with cute bows. She wore a simple white dress that was embroidered with elegant patterns. Her porcelain white skin on her legs lay bare on the fresh green grass, and she was covered in twigs and dried leaves.

"You're crying again."

The girl looked up and found a boy that looked exactly like her peering over the bush looking at her.

His rose-gold eyes were reflecting her frail figure. He beamed at her gracefully in an elegant manner and it calmed her down, giving her a sense of peace.

"Nisan...."

"Kira, why are you crying?" The boy asked her.

She didn't answer and just hugged her knees. The boy also remained silent and carefully brushed off the twigs and leaves off her.

After a while, the girl spoke. Her voice was little and it sounded so weak. "I'm scared. I don't want to be alone."

"Since when were you alone?"

She looked at him and he grinned at her. He patted her head and said to her cheerfully. "You're not alone, and you'll never be. Didn't I promise you many times already that I'll love you always?"

"Yes, and we got scolded because of that." She snapped at him coldly yet the boy only smiled.

"Oh, come on. Today's our third birthday! The least you could do is smile." He spoke but she just ignored him.

Who cares? No one cares anyway. Nobody likes them so what if they're already three?

He sat beside her and leaned slightly to her. "Your lot cuter when you smile. You know that?" He pulled out a beautiful piece of jewelry from his pocket and gave it to her sheepishly. "Here, I got you a present."

She looked at him then shifted her gaze to the gift he gave her. It was a beautiful pendant that is one of a kind.

The young girl gratefully accepted it with a smile. She then took out a present she wanted to give him and it looked exactly the same as hers.

As he received it, he smiled. He'll make sure to treasure it greatly. It was a gift given to him by his most precious little sister.

The girl on the other hand, stared at it in daze. "Nisan, you always give me pretty jewelries."

"You don't like it?"

She shook her head and caressed it gently. "No, I like it."

The boy smiled again and took the pendant from her hand. "What are you doing?" She asked quickly, taken aback by his sudden actions.

The boy carefully placed it round her neck then hugged her lovingly. "Kira, don't ever take it off okay. Even if everyone else don't like us, don't cry. Brother loves you always."

"But you'll fall in love with some other girl and marry her. Then I'll be--"

"I won't fall in love with anyone! I won't marry a girl!" He stated, taking her completely by surprise. "Kira will be sad so I won't marry anyone."

"But--"

"Silly sister." The boy giggled. "If I marry, I will have to take care of that girl and my new family. If that happens, I won't be able to take care of Kira anymore. She will be left alone and she wouldn't have anyone to depend on. She will be sad and she'll cry. So, I won't marry anyone, that's a promise."

The girl stared at him and she opened her mouth to speak but the boy pressed his index finger on her lips.

"Don't promise something you'll regret, Kira."

He then grinned and stood up. She glared at him and muttered angrily. "You can, but I can't. Nisan is so unfair!"

The boy chuckled and reached out his had to help her. "Let's go, Sychi will scold us if we got late for dinner." He said. "Besides, you're a mess."

"Hmph! Nisan you're so mean!"

"Hehe, that's the truth though."

"Shut up!"

The two of them ran back to the palace that literally reaches to the clouds. An elegant and beautiful palace that is too big for only two young children to live in.

That spring day was really beautiful.

The two of them filled each other with warmth and lovely smiles, despite not being accepted and loved by anyone else. They love each other deeply and they were happy even though it was only the two of them. As long as they were together, it was enough to satisfy them.

"Nisan, I love you..."

"I love you too, silly."

It was a happy memory that has its own darkness. It was bright that no one would expect it would shatter easily like glass. It was a happy one, yet it feels so sad.
