Chapter 110 - Chapter 109 Pirates

It was past dawn and their journey continued as if nothing had happened, except for the children's excited ramblings.

Kishi and Kira were sitting at the ship's bow, enjoying the breeze of the wind, and Airi joined them shortly.

"Who would've thought they would let us go so easily." Airi said as he stared at the view before him.

"I'm sure they had a reason." Kishi spoke. Liking his ice cream cone, he continued. "And it's also a good thing. If they didn't let us go, the results would be utterly terrible."

Airi remained silent and said no further. Although the sirens reaction was suspicious for human eating creatures, Kishi had a point.

If they didn't let them go, things might get out of hand. Worse, if either party suffered some casualties no matter how big it is will immediately cause war between the two races. Even if their young, they must consider their position and act accordingly. Such thing should not happen and its their responsibility to prevent that.

After a moment of silence "You should get change." Airi told them, looking the twins as they ate their ice creams but are still in their night clothes.

After just an hour or so, one of the ship's crew shouted and made all the children excited. Apparently, land was spotted and they will soon be arriving at their destination in a couple of hours.

"Well, except for the sirens, I suppose everything went smoothly." Asa said with his hands on his waist, feeling proud of himself.

"Come on Asa, do you actually think that things will go that easy for us?" Ash told him.

Asa did not believe her at all. Although everyone's very aware that trouble kept sticking at them, they will be arriving shortly at the island. What else could get worse?

Asa sneered. "What do you suppose will happen next? We'll be attacked by pirates? Gimme a break, that will never happen."

An as if on cue, somebody shouted. "What the hell is that?!"

They looked around and they spotted something in the sky. At first it was no more than a flying dot, but the closer it gets, the more visible it becomes to their eyes. It was a floating and an unknown ship that was flying towards them.

"Wow Asa, good job jinxing us." Aspen laughed as he teased him.

"b-but-I, t-that wasn't, I mean, how can you be so sure that that's a pirate ship?" Asa stuttered at first, but he managed to regain himself and questioned him.

Aspen smirked and asked him in reply. "Well, what else could it be? 'Cuz from what I remember, our school does not own any flying ship."

"Whatever it is, it will be awesome if it's gonna be a pirate ship. Don't you say so Yang?"

"Shut up!" Yin asked his brother, but as always, Yang snapped at him coldly.

It was only a matter of time and the pirate ship landed on the water, creating large splashes.

The pirate ship was made out of wood, but the sails are all black except for the white skull on the center of it.

A man with an eye patch and wearing what looked like a noble's clothing during medieval era and a coat came to sight. He was holding a sword and a feathered hat was on his head. From the children's eyes, he seemed to be the pirates' captain. Their thoughts were confirmed when the man ordered the other pirates to attack.

All the other pirates jumped off to their ship, and surrounded the children. The other ship's crew were cornered and are shivering in fear and begging for mercy.

Sneering one of the pirates said. "Aarrrgh! This ship's full of nothing but scurvy brats!"

Although they were surrounded and looked completely helpless, none of them flinched and smiled at the pirates confidently.

"Where's the ugly lady?" Rex asked

"Rex, Professor Li will be mad if she heard you call her that." Lune told him, not lifting his eyes off his book or caring about the pirates that boarded their ship.

One of the pirates charged at Lune with his dagger but a thick trunk rose from the ship's deck and blocked his attack.

The pirate quickly withdrew and eyed the children more cautiously. They made a big mistake. These children are mages, a powerful one at that fact.

Yin who was beside his twin brother, Yang, laughed in rather vicious and excited way.

"Ain't this fun?" He spoke with a smirk in his face. "Everyone! You're letting me claim the spot light this time, wouldn't you?"

The pirates received a bad feeling, but the E-class students just sighed.

"Alright Yin, we won't get in your way." Miha told him wearily.

Upon hearing that, Yin's smile got broader and he suddenly disappeared.

When they all looked up, they found him in the sky. He had a pair of majestic white butterfly wings. In his eyes, one could tell that he looked at those pirates as is they're nothing but ants.

He was neither an angel or a priest of light. Instead, he was a demon. A demon soaked in blood, and filled with nothing but evil.

Looking at his brother, Yang sighed. It seems that he should assist him. Even though it was already morning and the sun is bright, Yin's light magic would be more effective in the assistance of Yang's darkness.

Black butterfly wings appeared on his back. He summoned a single black butterfly, and it flew upwards to Yin's back. Then all of a sudden, it grew bigger and blocked the sun's light. Everything became dark as if the day had suddenly turned night.

However, Yin glowed brightly in that darkness. Even though the sun is gone, it was still very bright. It may look as if his brother's magic made no sense at all, but in fact, it helped a lot.

If the surroundings is too bright, Yin's light magic would not work at all unless his light would be brighter, or the sun's light would just over power his light. So, he had to rely on Yang's magic to extinguish the sun's light and create his own light. Yang's magic is also the same, and he had to rely on Yin's magic when it's night or if it's too dark.

Despite the pirates' best effort to shield their eyes from the Yin's light, it was just too bright that they became blind. Surprisingly though, his classmates weren't least affected by the blinding light.

Hundreds of butterflies surrounded Yin, and started flying towards the blinded pirates.

"You should be careful, if you touch just one of my butterflies, I 'am afraid that you'll lose your soul." He warned them.

With a smile in his pretty and young face, he continued. "I'll show you that my butterflies are powerful. I 'am really mad earlier. My light was overpowered by the mist of the sirens. However, I swear that won't happen again."

One of the butterflies got too close to a pirate and will touch him in the slightest movement. If it were to happen, just as Yin said earlier, his soul will be taken out of his body and will become one of Yin's butterflies, and will be like his slave that will be bound to him forever.

Fortunately, when it was about to touch the pirate, the butterflies turned into a ball of light and instead of taking his soul, it merely burned a deep wound in his skin.

"What?!"

Yin was surprised, that was clearly not his intention, and he was also sure that his spell was repelled and another spell was casted by someone else that was also similar to his. What's the most surprising though, was the fact that whoever that person is, can use the power of his butterflies that shouldn't be possible for his magic belongs strictly to him alone.

Everyone's attention was suddenly shifted to the snow-white twins. If there were anyone who could manipulate of use someone else's magic, it would be the Sacred royals that can control or use all magic at their will, it would be either Kishi or Kira or both.

And just as they thought, Kira was stretching her arms apparently to the pirate's position whose arm is burned by the butterfly.

Her expression was blank, and she was sitting on her dear brother's lap who also wore the same expression as her. Airi is also with them, but he is bewildered and shocked by her sudden actions.

Don't they just agree that they'll let Yin deal with those pirates?!

"Kira, what are you doing?!" Yin questioned her slightly exasperated.

Kira slowly lowered her hand and gazed at him; her face still blank with no clear expression. "Yin, I can see that you're angry, but you shouldn't take souls even if you're capable of it."

This struck everyone, and mostly Yin. He was so stupid that he let his emotions get the best of him again.
