They continued listening to her rant even if their hearts weren't willing to.
They knew that she had a reason, and they can't blame her for it. But what if she knew who they really are? Would she hate them for it?
"Say big sister, why did you run away from home despite knowing that it wouldn't work anyway? I mean, were still at the Leon kingdom, and it would take at least two to three more days to reach the next kingdom by foot."
Kira's question made her think. Why? Why would she do that even though it is hopeless? Things could have been lot easier for her, but she insisted to do it anyway. Why?
"I guess it's better to try and fail, rather than to just give up."
Kira smiled in her reply. Giggling, she said. "Interesting...I never thought that you, big sister will say that..."
Her face flushed from embarrassment. "W-well this isn't something new, was it?"
"No" Kira said. "But it's fun to watch people like you..."
Not understanding what she meant, the girl just lowered her head. It was when she first realized that the young girl she was speaking to, had extremely long and silky white hair. Her sleek skin is also very white and her cheeks were beautifully rosy. Her eyes were the most beautiful. It was just so pure and lovely. If she were to see her from a far, she would not be surprised if she thought of her as an angel.
But as she looked around, she also noticed that one of the boys looked exactly like her. It felt as if they were the very same person. The other boy was also very stunning. He has the presence of a prince and he was extremely beautiful. He looked so gentle and kind, yet he is also very charming. His eyes were just like the twins, it was utterly beautiful, but there was a small difference, a difference that she cannot tell.
She quickly lowered her gaze before she would get fully mesmerized. She felt that her existence wasn't as worth as the three of them, but she can feel that the three of them were trying their best to not to overlap her existence.
Bothered, she can't help but ask as she held the tips of her unique hair. "Umm...aren't you surprised to see my hair color?"
"No." Kishi said flatly. "Why would we?"
Flustered she tried to explain herself. "Well, my hair color isn't normal. Have you even seen someone with multiple colored pastel hair like mine?!"
"No."
"Then why?"
"Why should we care?" Kishi asked her back, stunning her. "Just so you know, hair color also tells us about ourselves. It just simply means that you have this unique and powerful magic."
"B-but I'm just a commoner..."
"You sure about that?" Airi questioned her. "How do you explain that hair of yours then?"
She was rendered speechless by him. As she thought about it, she realized how much she doesn't know about.
To her shock, the three children suddenly fell silent. When she looked at them, they were frozen still, not making the slightest move.
She was about to ask what's going on, but Kishi hissed her. "We are being watched." He whispered.
Then all of a sudden, purple smoke covered the air. Being the weakest among all of them, Kira quickly faltered and fainted. Fortunately, Kishi caught her before she fell on the ground, but he was also weakened, and his vision blurry.
"Dammit, they won't last!"
Knowing the twins well, Airi knew that the two of them are physically weak. He can clearly see that Kishi was losing his consciousness, and even he himself was weakening.
Among all of them, the girl was least affected, but she was already panicking. The sound of the door slamming open shocked her. There entered a man that looked intimidating.
"Surrender yourselves before things get worse." He said
She turned to the three of them and became anxious with their state. Kishi is still conscious but was already at the ground, holding his dear sister, while Airi can barely keep himself up. The three of them were so weak. She had no choice. She knew that she'll be caught immediately, but never did she expect to drag three innocent children with her. For that she felt utterly guilty. Of course, if it weren't for her, the children won't be facing such danger.
...
At the Leon palace. She was made to face the crown prince.
He doesn't look like a prince at all. In fact, he looked a fool who thinks the world is his playground, just because he was fortunate enough to be born in a great family.
"My, my, my dear Celes, I didn't expect you to be so foolish as to ran away. Are you underestimating my power?"
Clenching her fist and biting her lip, she stated. "No, I 'am not underestimating you. I just wanted to try and remain free, even if I know myself it wouldn't work."
The guy sneered at her and stood up from his seat and moved closer to her. He held her hair and whispered to her ear.
"You cut your beautiful hair, I 'am heart broken. But what shall I do with you? Shall I punish you?"
Perspiration flowed in her cheek. Mustering all her courage, she told him. "Do whatever you want with me, but don't hurt those kids."
The guys mile grew even wider. "Bring the girl here!" he ordered his servants.
"Wait! What are you going to do?!" She anxiously questioned him.
The guy didn't answer and just smirked. Not long after, they brought the still unconscious Kira in. They threw her in the room, but Celes tried her best to soften her fall.
"Don't be so rough with her!!" She shouted at them as Celes held Kira tightly.
"Isn't she a beautiful girl, aren't I right Celes?" The guy said as he held a bundle of her long silky hair.
"Where is the other two?" She eyed him.
"Do not fret, they are both fine. But my dear, shouldn't you be worrying about yourself? No? Or is it because it is your own foolishness that brought them here?" he told her with a sinister voice.
Celes kept silent, and a big evil arc formed in his face. He was delighted to see the despair on her face.
And just when she was about to fully surrender, Kira opened her eyes.
Although weak she managed to sit herself up. Rubbing her heavy eyes, she asked. "Big sister, where are we?"
A sigh of relief escaped Celes's lips. She was glad that Kira finally awoke. However, her relief was quickly over taken by her guilt.
Noting her guilty face, Kira beamed at her with a beautiful, elegant, yet gentle smile. "Don't worry sister, Nisan and Airi would be just fine. No one is blaming you..."
Hearing her gentle and innocent voice, she can't help but feel even more guilty. "But I--"
"Like I said, there's no need to worry. In fact, the two of them would be arriving any second now."
Stunned by her words, the foolish looking crown prince and she turned to look at the door. And for a brief second, a large explosion was heard. The door busted and fell open, revealing a pile of unconscious guards, mercilessly taken down with the use of magic.
As soon as the smoke cleared out, the two boys appeared in view. From the looks of it, they had wiped out all those top guards without even breaking a sweat. Not just that, but they seem not to take things seriously.
Celes and the crown prince's mouth hung open, but the guy quickly picked himself up and swore as he casted a spell to attack the intruders.
"Damn you!! Summon!"
