Chapter 86 - Chapter 85 The 2nd death

A month had passed since then. Airi was still learning how to control his newly attained powers with the help of Kishi and Kira and with Sychi's watch.

Currently, it was already lunch break and the students were all in the cafeteria, enjoying their food that is served by the spirits.

Quietly and elegantly eating their food, the twins can't help but notice that Airi was just staring at his food without the slightest interest. The two of them looked at each other. Airi have been like this ever since morning. They can't help but feel worried.

"Airi, did you have that same dream we both had again?" Kira asked as if reading his mind.

Her brother nudged her, silently telling her that she shouldn't have asked, and that her question was utterly insensitive. She though, merely glanced at him, yet hardly cared.

Flabbergasted, Airi jolted up and stared at her. "I guess I was right..." she said, completely ignoring her brother that was just sitting beside her as he slapped his hand on his forehead.

Airi stared at her with furrowed brows, asking her suspiciously. "How--?"

"You look terrible," She replied looking at his ashen face. "Airi, you look lot worse than when uncle James died. And you were so lively last night, that you can't possibly look like that with just a single night, unless you had a nightmare. And what's worse than having that same dream you had just before uncle's death?"

Airi was momentarily stunned. He paled even more and his hands started trembling violently even as he tried to held it to stop. He also started to break out in cold sweat.

They also caught attention of their classmates as they all became silent and turned to look at him. Their faces full of concern and suspicion. Bubblegum was most worried among them all.

"Airi...."

Gritting his teeth, "I--What should I do!? I'm scared, I can't take it! Tell me! Tell me what should I do?!" he shouted in frustration and fear.

Despite his voice being loud, the humongous size of the cafeteria prevented what he said to be heard by everyone and was only heard by the few students that was near enough for them to hear, but none bothered to look their way or even stop to listen further. They just knew well that involving themselves with the E-class's matters was not a very good idea.

Without a second thought or even the slightest regret, Kishi coldly answered his question. "There's nothing you can do"

Airi was stunned to hear his words. He looked at him with his face still ashen, but Kishi's expression was unwavering.

"Go home" Kira whispered to him.

His gaze fell on her as she looked back at him, as if telling Airi that there's nothing he can do for whatever bad thing that may happen, except for to go home and watch it all happen.

"But we weren't allowed to leave school until all classes ended. It's also not Friday and we can't go home unless we have granny's permission, and do you guys actually think that they'll let Airi off?" Bubblegum reminded them.

"That's one rule we forgot to change, right Yang?" said Yin.

"If you can't do anything about it, then bust your way out." Kishi pointed out the obvious. He grinned, "That's what you guys do best right?"

The children exchanged glances then smirked. "That's right. Go on Airi, we'll cover your back for ya', so just go ahead and go straight home" Kin sneered.

"You guys..."

"Thank us later, for now just go" Rex patted him in the shoulder.

Airi hesitated, he was still confused on what to do. "B-but what should I do?"

"Airi, whatever you do is up to you" Kishi told him. "Though you can't really change anything, it's better than doing nothing.

Taking a deep breath, Airi made up his mind. "Alright, I trust you guys"

With that, Airi ran off and the rest looked at each other before they nodded.

And just as they expected, their teachers purposely blocked his way, attempting to stop him but his classmates will suddenly appear and buy him time to escape.

Minru clicked his tongue as Kira and Kishi stood between him and Airi.

"sorry Professor Minru," Kira apologized

"But we dare say that you should at least give him a change to say goodbye" Kishi said to him, caching him off guard.

"You...how much do you know exactly...?"

Kishi sneered, "Much more than you expect, but not that much really. We only know those obvious things most would naturally overlook"

Meanwhile, in Rosarose mansion, Neon just finished having her usual tea and finishing all the paper works. She planned to go outside enjoy some fresh air as she walked down the wide halls.

A servant carrying a vase with fresh roses, bowed as she walked past her. The maid didn't get that far yet from her when Neon fell to her knees, coughing as she covered her mouth. As the servant turned around when she heard her lady coughing, the vase she was holding shattered at the sight of blood.

Not caring about the broken vase, she rushed to her lady and held her. Neon was coughing out more blood as her hands was covered with it.

Not knowing what she should do, the maid screamed for it as loud as she can. The other servants arrived and the head butler carried her to her room.

Airi arrived a little later. The lad was panting but went straight to his mother's room, ignoring all that called out to him and broke his way through those who wanted to stop him.

Airi was viewed as a child, so he is forbidden to watch or see someone perish or more accurately, disappear or turn into a flower or other elements. It was a process the innocent and young mind should not see. Thus, his elders tried desperately to stop him, but the child was too stubborn to listen.

Slamming the door, he hastily entered. At the bed lays his mother. He rushed to her and gave her a tight hug; tears welling up from his eyes.

Neon was extremely pale and weak, yet with all her remaining strength, she held him in the cheek and wiped his tears but proved useless because of how much the child was crying.

The family healer that was also there in the room was shocked, but quickly pulled himself together and attempted to make the child let go, yet Airi stubbornly held on to her. The other servants rushed into the room as well and helped the healer.

"Young lord, please...you are not permitted to stay here..." A servant said.

"Young and innocent minds such as yours should not see death" His nanny tried to convince him, yet still fatal.

Having enough already, Airi throwed them all off and bellowed. "LET GO OFF ME!! Innocent?! I'M NOT INNOCENT!! I've seen so many people die already! This hands of mine was stained with so much blood! AND YET YOU CALL ME INNOCENT?! WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP!"

All of them was stunned for words. He was right, but Airi rarely raised his voice, not even to them who only serve the family.

Airi felt his mother's hand as she caressed his head. As he looked at her, she gave him a gentle smile that made him cry even more.

"Why...? he questioned "Why are you looking at me like that? Don't smile! THIS ISN'T FUNNY!!"

"Airi....sweetie, it's okay..." she weakly said to him.

"It's not okay!" he argued

"It's fine..."

"No, it's not!"

"Airi...smile..."

"I-I can't..." he cried.

"I'm sorry...I thought I could be with you longer....But I was wrong. My dear child, know this. Your father and I were so proud of you...we loved you so much..." Tears flowed from her eyes. "Be strong. The three of you should take care each other...smile for me"
