Chapter 67 - Chapter 66 Siblings and friends

"Airi, what's that? It's glowing" Kira noticed something glowing on Airi's neck

"Oh, this?" Airi loosened his shirt and showed them a pink rose mark on the fair skin on his collar. "It's the family crest, I had it since birth, the two of you should have one to"

"We don't" said Kishi

Airi looked at him for a moment before fixing his shirt and standing up. "Maybe it was sealed to keep it a secret, even your hairs tips don't have any black or pink color, and that was also a symbol that you belong to the Rose clan like any other families who have their own hair color that defines their magic. But this mark is a sign of inheritance given to only the first children"

The twins exchanged looks, not sure if they understand anything. Airi just gave them a proud smile and declared,

"That's not what's important right now. 'Cause it looked like I'll be taking care of the both of you as your older brother, so make sure you listen to me, okay?"

Kishi however, was outrage. There's just no way for him to accept Airi as an older brother "Older brother?! You're no older brother, we're of the same age?"

"'Yup, but the two of you were born in mid spring, and I, am born a month before that. That makes me a month older than the two of you" He explained, satisfied with himself

"Hell!?" Kishi really wanted to retort. He can accept being a part of the guild's so-called family, but there's no way he'll allow Airi to become his sibling. His life was only with the two of them, and only be the two of them. Or so he thought, before Kira somewhat agreed to it. He can't go against his sister's wishes, especially if it will make her happy, then he would be more than wiling to accept anything, even if he weren't.

"As long as I'm still the little sister, then whatever's fine with me" She said with a cute smile.

"That's my girl!" Airi gave her a thumbs up

"Ouch! Nisan!?" Kira pouted as Kishi flicked her forehead

"Idiot little sister, you can hide it from everyone else, but there's no way you could've hide it from me." Kishi scolded her. "You pushed yourself way too much again, haven't you? Come, I'll carry you back"

Kishi crouched down to give her a piggyback ride. He was exhausted from the fight, and it was even more for her. She may have a big amount of magic to spend, but she doesn't have that much energy to spare. That's the reason why he doesn't want her to participate in any challenge as much as possible, but since it's Airi who asked, then he had no choice than to agree with it.

Although she expected him to notice any sooner or later, she was startled that he offered to carry her. She was embarrassed and was turning pink. She can still walk but with great difficulty, she doesn't have to carry her all the way. Kishi thought otherwise.

"What are you waiting for?" Kishi urge her

"I'm embarrassed, I don't want to" She shyly declined

"hurry up already, no one's looking"

"What are you talking about? A lot of people are here" She nervously looked around

"Kira, please..."

She stared at him for a moment before finally giving in, pouting as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Airi can only stop himself from sighing as he looked at the both of them. The three of them together made their way back to the castle, they haven't made it far yet from the stadium, but Kira already passed out as Kishi expected her too.

Red was left there alone. He was about to leave when caught a glimpse of Akamura from the corner of his eyes. When he realized that it was him, he suddenly jerked his head in his direction but he was no longer there. He then understood what Airi meant.

'Prove yourself worthy'. Those are the words he said. Red thought he was merely blabbering, but now he realized that he meant what he said. Airi chose Rex first, Red thought that he was later chosen because Airi can't persuade Rex to fight with him. He then suddenly remembered that if Airi want's one thing, he wouldn't give up until he gets it, he will in any way possible.

Showing a battle between top students were only a second after forcing Red to show what he can do to Akamura. And from the looks of it, he played right into his trap. Although the battle he had with Kira was only to buy time for the other two, he did use a powerful spell at the end. Even if didn't work, a mage won't be able to cast it unless he fully mastered the spell, or else he might end up dying the ground with his blood instead of his enemies. And most red bearers of the rainbow family aren't able to master such spell, that is why those who did are highly considered as geniuses. And he unintentionally showed Akamura what he was truly capable of.

Airi, that guy...isn't just a simple lad after all.

He can only laugh to himself for his stupidity.

Meanwhile, in Kira's room in the Blazing hall of the E-class dormitory, Kira lay asleep in the bed with her twin brother sitting beside her. Airi was also with them, he also laid flat on the bed with his arms open wide as he stared at the ceiling. He appeared to be in deep thought.

The room was quiet and the two of them aren't engaging any conversation. Kishi was reading a book, and Airi just continued to state at ceiling without a word.

Noticing this, Kishi took the initiative to speak with him. "Say Airi, you're still thinking about that dream of yours, aren't you?" Kishi asked him. "Forget about it"

Taken aback by what he said, Airi sat up and looked at him in puzzlement. "Why?"

"Because there's noting you can do about it" He flatly replied, closing the book his reading and looking back at him.

"I don't get it? What are you talking about?" Airi demanded some explanation

Staring at him, Kishi sighed. "Seeing those premonitions isn't a gift you know. At least to me." He looked at the window and continued. "You will see things, what will happen, but that doesn't mean that you can change anything. When you finally understand what's going on, you were given a very small time to change anything."

Airi just continued to stare at him, trying to understand what he was saying.

"If your really like the both of us, you'll probably wish you weren't. At first, you will fell like there's nothing that could go wrong since you know what's gonna happen anyway. But after, you'll only feel really weak. You'll feel so powerless that you can't even change one thing that you already knew that's gonna happen. It feels so terrible that whole self is being torn apart."

Kira let out a soft groan and Kishi smiled at her while he caressed her cheek.

"So, I suggest you forget about it. I don't think that your emotionally prepared enough to see what's going to happen and watch it all over again without being able to do anything. Things aren't as easy as you think it all is."

Airi raised a brow and looked at him in disbelief. "Wow, I never thought that you're actually concerned about me"

"I'm not" Kishi quickly retorted "It's just that Kira likes you a lot, she will be sad if you started to emotionally break down and she can't do anything about it. Isn't it weird for her to see the same thing as you did even though it has completely nothing to do about us? Sympathizing with anyone to the extent that you can see their nightmares isn't that easy to achieve."

"Well, whatever you say..." Airi shrugged

"What? You don't believe me?"

"It's not like that. In fact, I dare say that you wouldn't be saying that without personal experience. I mean, I saw you break down before, and even Kira was afraid to have dreams." He laid down again and continued to stare at the ceiling in wonder. "It's not that easy to forget. It must be scary, you always see things like this, don't you?"

Kishi sighed, "Maybe. But when you experience it, you will feel weak that you might beat yourself up about it. Positively, you will aim to be stronger, hoping that one day, you'll be able to change what you saw. Still, who knows how long and how many times will you feel that over and over again to see your desired results?"

The two of them had a good talk until they fell asleep after the fight they just had. As for now, Kishi finally accepted that Airi can be trusted, that there's nothing to be warry at him for.
