The ravine was extremely deep, that the ground below it was unseen, and was nothing but pitch blackness. The air coming from it was sending them goosebumps.
Bubblegum quickly sent a note to the other groups and convey to them what they found.
Not long after, all the others arrived. They all looked at the place with great interest. The twin sisters bent down to take a closer look and smiled in a curious but delighted way.
"Sister, what do you think is under there?" Tsusu asked
"I don't know sister, maybe something really fishy" Chisu replied
Kin sat by the edge and excitedly said, "Only one way to find out"
Kin was about to jump off when Ara spoke anxiously with her soft voice.
"I-I sense something dangerous there! Umm....well...I..."
She squeaked when her elder sisters gave her a surprising tight hug. Looking at her with gentleness
"Don't worry little sissy!" said Chisu
"You heard sister! If your scared we'll take good care of you!" Added Tsusu.
Although doubtful, Ara just bit her lip and gave them a little nod.
Just like the rest, there's something she can do that most others can't. When she was younger, she was always by her mothers' side and was never allowed to leave her room while her three other siblings play outside. When Tsusu, Chisu, and Tera are learning magic, she was unable to join them as she is diagnosed to be unable to wield magic due to her weak body.
However, this was later proved wrong. The reason why she doesn't have any magic is because their father sealed her magic temporarily. After the seal was broken, she was no longer incompetent but because of the seal's side effects, she became blind. Ever since then, she always wears a blindfold to
hide her eyes.
But being an enchanter, she uses her magic differently than most mages. It also made it possible for her to sense the things around her without her vision and even read books through their magical presence. But also because of this, she can tell that there's something in that ravine is dangerous that most of her friends can't perceive.
"So, are we just gonna jump there?" Coral asked, while taking a peek in the pitch blackness.
"Er, of course, what else?" Kin snorted
"it's far too risky. We don't even know how deep this is" said Kishi
"It must be at least a thousand meters" Kira observed
"one-thousand-nine-hundred-ninety-five-point-seventy-seven meters to be exact" Ara corrected
Surprised, Kira was amazed at her "Oh! you can tell? That's amazing!"
"Er-t-thank you" Ara blushed
Definitely sure and made up their mind, they started jumping down with screams full of excitement. Crazy as they are, taking risk is first to having fun.
While most of them just jumped off, Ara was careful enough to enchant the air around her into splendid wings and slowly but surely went down to the unknown.
Filled with excitement, Rex held Kira's hand and pulled her down with him, dragging her twin brother together with them. Airi on the other hand, was busy pushing Lune as he refuses to put down his book and just continued his reading while all of them are making their way down the bottom of the ravine.
As they fall down, the others are making bets on who will reach the bottom first. The others are racing their way down, and the others are brawling in the air, while some are minding their own business, like Lune who was still reading his book while falling head first to the ground.
Kin was the first to jump off so he reached the ground first with a splash under his feet with his water magic. When he raised his head in triumph, he was startled to see many other adventures and treasure hunters already there and are currently staring at him.
The others descended, most stopped in mid-air before stepping in the ground and has the same expression as Kin when he first saw the large group of people there.
Staring at each other, there was utter silence. That was until Rex fell down screaming and accidentally landed on one guy with loud crash, and laughing vigorously in all the thrill. The twins floated in mid-air with a confused look on their faces, along with Airi who was floating under a pink magic circle surrounded with pink rose petals, and Lune who was still reading while floating upside down in Airi's spell.
Still laughing, Rex uttered full of excitement, not noticing the guy who was bleeding beneath him. "Whoops! Forgot to press the brakes. But that was fun! Again! Let's do it again!"
"Er..Rex," Airi spoke
"What?"
"Look down" he said
Although confused, he looked down and saw the man whose head was bleeding with the impact. He quickly stood up and apologized
"Oh! Sorry, didn't see you there. Ara never said anything about other people being here"
"She didn't 'cause it's obvious that other people are here. Do you really expect the other people to be so dumb as to not notice the hidden clues for over a century now?" Kishi muttered
"So...What's up? Why are there so many people in her?" Rex asked
What!? Is he really an idiot?! How can he be one of the top students if he had no brains?! Oh! right, it's because he climbed to the top using only brute force. What an idiot...
Not long after, Ara finally reached the bottom and gasped realizing that she forgot to warn them that there are other adventurers and treasure hunters that arrived there ahead of them.
The tension between the children and the other people are high that it completely ruined the excitement from earlier. Even Rex was forcing a smile and is trying hard to suppress his urge to beat them all down and mop the floor with their hideous faces.
Fortunately, Silvana emerged from the group and grinned at them. She looked really pleasing and friendly even with their awkward first impression of her. She wore a silver armor and azure blue cape bearing the symbol of their guild. Her silver-blonde hair looked beautiful with her blue eyes. She approached them in a friendly manner and lightly bowed her head.
"Quite some grand entrance you made there" she said
Asa chuckled and thanked her "Thank you, big sister"
Big Sister?...
"Hey Asa, are you hitting on her or something?" Ash whispered to him
"What are you talking about? Is addressing someone as big sister a form of hitting on someone?" He retorted "Honestly, that head of yours sure is filled with dirty thoughts! I can't believe I have you as a sister! Disgraceful!"
"Disgraceful my ass"
"Watch your mouth little missy! A girl like you should mind her words" Asa muttered
"Is being a boy give you the right to play with girls' hearts?"
"For your information, I already have a fiancé, and so are you. And besides, I like her, no I love her!"
Annoyed with all their bickering, Kin hissed them "Will the two of you idiots shut your mouth!"
"Shut up stupid!" Asa shot back at him
"What did you say, flame head!?" Kin snapped
With all their petty quarrel, the atmosphere in the ravine seemed to be getting tenser. While looking around, the most observant among the children felt somewhat eerie. However, most of them didn't notice anything and are giving of a lively mood.
Noting this, Silvana asked them with a smile, but her intentions are visible in her eyes. "You lot sure are lively in a situation such as this"
Hearing this, all their eyes were on her. Not understanding what she meant, they looked at her with confusion.
"What do you mean?" Umi asked nervously
