Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Okay, I Need ANSWERS

"Oh, stop gawking would you!" she snapped. She had a faint blush over her face proving that even she knew it wasn't normal, but I could see that she was a little self-conscious, so I pulled myself together and walked over and took a seat on her bed.

"Sorry, Olivia. Just a, um, shock", I smiled. "I remember your room looking like a little girls playhouse or heaven". She looked around before saying, "Yeah, I kind of grew out of the pink and unicorns stage I guess".

She looked at me sheepishly. "But, you might have to be thinking about princesses or race cars even I guess" I had not even thought about that yet. Kids need that sort of stuff! I muttered response and had my metal freak out session, or rather I was about to when Olivia started talking again.

"Ok, I need ANSWERS. How the bloody hell did you get pregnant?" she asked I laughed humourlessly. "Well, I didn't even know that I had had sex until a few weeks ago! Here I was thinking that I had not ever, and I mean ever had sex.

Oh, but I wasn't well so I went to a doctor and she told me I was pregnant! I told her she was stupid and that I was a virgin and she told me that the tests were 100% accurate and I was pregnant!"

"Wow," Olivia said quietly. "Do you know how or when… how? I won‟t judge I promise" "Yeah well according to the doctor I was two months, or now I am about ten weeks. That pinpoints it to that party you had for your birthday.

I told you I couldn't remember much…" Olivia looked at me with a sympathetic understanding. She could remember that I was upset about that night. "What are you going to do," she asked,

"Are you going to keep it or get rid of it? I mean you are seventeen; it won‟t be easy at all. Especially because you will be all alone in it" I sat there thinking for a while before I got up and looked out her window. I saw John getting back from where ever he went to. He saw me at the window and smiled and waved.

If I had a baby I wouldn't be able to do the things that all teenagers did. I couldn't go out and party with friends, I couldn't sneak out at night to meet people, and I couldn't date normally even. As I remembered the look that John had given me when he had bought me inside I knew exactly what I was going to do. I turned back to Olivia and smiled. "I know exactly what I am going to do"

I said enthusiastically and with that, I left the house. I sat at my computer desk making lists. I love making lists. Why you might ask? Well, it looks simple if you see it all set out right in front of your eyes. It made things simpler. At the moment I had a lot of word documents up. Each one of them was another aspect of being a mom that I needed.

I had things like „what do babies need?‟, „possible baby names‟ (both girl and boy and even a few unisex names), „things I would need‟ and much, much more. Being the mother of a baby was going to be huge. I could do it. I have been working more and haven‟t used any of my money. I planned on being a great mom. And I would be.

I heard a car pull up and assumed it was my sister until I heard a knock on the front door. I ran down the stairs, two at a time to answer it, curious as to who would be here at nine on a weeknight. I knew my parents were out of town for a few days and my sister was out having fun, *cough, cough*. I opened the door and was a little shocked to see John there, to say the least.

He stood there in all his blond glory leaning against the door frame. He was wearing blue jeans that hung low on his hip with a black polo shirt that had the collar turned up at the back. As I looked at his face and saw his smirk I realized that I had been staring and went bright red. I cleared my throat, "Um, hi", I said lamely. "Hi there yourself, are you going to invite me in or am I going to die on the doorstep?"

he laughed. Embarrassed in front of him yet again, I moved to the side and invited him inside. "Come on, we can go up to my room", I muttered already heading to the stairs. We both walked up the stairs towards my room, and I was very self-conscious that he was right behind me.

I could feel him staring at me. As soon as John closed the door, I turned on him. "What the hell are you doing here?" I asked. For a moment he looked a taken back then he smiled. Lord, I loved it when he smiled…
