I let out a sigh and decide it's best to come clean. It wasn't fear that was speaking but the respect of a Kobold. For a Kobold to go against the wishes of a dragon is nearly unheard of and their needs to be a very good reason. [It's a long story]. I go in-depth on the start of my journey going into great detail about the gods and how their bickering between each other. As I'm speaking the dragon lets out a loud laugh. ~Oh boy it seems like the gods got more childish over time~. [Guess so but I don't know all the details yet].

Tarin brings his head in closer he checks Max out from different angles.
~Interesting you aren't made from this world are you~. {You are indeed correct I am not}. [Wait what]? ~Seems that Max isn't made of atoms and elements like us but instead his body is a combination of dence spiritual and magical energy~. [What]?
I was completely lost on what they were talking about. [Atoms, Elements, what are those]? ~Atoms and elements our what our body is comprised of. When a creature dies the soul leaves the body leaving no need for the atoms to remain. Instead of taking up space the main components of these elements are transfered to the killer of which needs to be a humanoid. Monsters are born with strong core elements. Because a monster is comprised differently than humanoids they can't absorb the core components but are usually stronger at birth than a average human. If a human dies by a monster or a monster dies in the hands of another monster the components disperse which will lead to monsters being a little stronger than normal in that area but the effect will only be to a certain extent. Since decomposition is an effect that needs a change to undergo when the atoms lose their core components this leaves the body to breakdowns and change, that's how the process of decomposition takes place. Now Max doesn't have any of this meaning that he can't give out any experience since their are no core elements in his body and if he were to take a fatal hit he would be able to get a new body of the same type eventually. As he gets stronger the magic power in his body might be to much for it to handle so that's where mutations come in. They use exssesive magic to morph the body and allow new skills. For you however it seems that you have had you atoms morphed and changed in an unknown way. Right now your a different race of Kobold and your in an entirely different catagory than monsters or humans~.
My head was spinning as he was talking I couldn't keep up at all and lost him on only the second sentence. I thought ESP happens because it just worked that way this just complicates everything.
We sit and chat for a good while. Minutes turned to hours and hours to a day. ~You know what Crimson you interest me, being the only monster in history to have a class and a strange level cap, why don't I teach you a few things~. [REALLY]? My eyes light up in excitement. Getting taught by an ancient dragon doesn't happen all the time.
~In return you can return here whenever you can and tell me how your progress is going, I do seek wisdom and I feel that your a treasure trove of it even if you don't realize it yourself~. Quickly taking him up on his offer I dilligently start studying under him.
Even if I hate work he was correct in the fact that knowledge is treasure. Some of the books he slept on contained lost magic spells and different fighting techniques. I even aquired the ancient fire magic skill, it was the only one I could learn though. Max also learned the ancient ice magic skill. Eventually the time to leave came.
[I guess we need to head off I had an interesting time here]. I say that loosly since most of the time I had no clue what he was talking about. ~Fair well young Kobold, do come back when you make some new progress~. [Will do I'll see you again when the time comes]. Waving back to him Me and Max walk to the town through the forest. {Finally somebody smart and not incompetent}. [WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN]!? We continue walking until we reach the town.
