Once Meilin was done eating, she placed the plate on the bed side table then carefully carried the cup of milk. She slowly inspected it. Well, only the smell. She drank it all then put the cup aside before lying down on her back.
Bao was stocking the fridge with food as he thought of the milk he gave Meilin to drink. "She's lucky I gave her the right one. I'm not so heartless after all."
He closed the fridge then headed out. A cigarette was in his mouth as he lit it them dragged on it. He stayed in his car thinking about her confession. He expected it sooner or later but what he didn't expect was for her to come back to him. To top it all off, she was pregnant.
Maybe her relationship with her boss didn't work out. He shrugged at his thoughts, it wasn't his business. He's just doing what he's being paid for.
He'd come back after every four weeks to take Meilin for her check up. It was all to avoid suspicions and nothing more.
When she gives birth he'll finally divorce her and try his best to win Ai Jin's heart even if it involves eliminating whoever tries to get In between them.
Meilin was all by herself. She couldn't go out so her movement was very limited. All she did was eat and sleep. No TV, no phones, no magazines for entertainment. She'd just stare at the beautiful sky from the window and cloud gaze. She'd fall asleep whilst doing it too.
Bao kept to his promise. After ever four weeks he took her to the hospital for check up.
Ultrasound was conducted and she could see her twins. Watching the image from the monitor made her cry, she was just too happy. She never thought she'd have the opportunity to carry a child in her womb again.
"They're also girls and they look quite healthy. Just keep taking the Vitamins."
"Thank you doctor" She said to the elder with tears still rolling from her ducts. "I'm so sorry, I'm crying and I can't help it."
She waved her apology off then smiled "It's okay dear, all women that come here do the same thing."
"I lost my first baby, this time around I got two special girls."
"I assure you that they'll be special."

"Hmm" Meilin mumbled softly as her hand brushed a figure. She sat up but felt a sharp pain in her belly but in seconds it subsided.
"Bao" she said in shock "What are you doing here so early?"
He yawned as he also sat appropriately on his seat "I just came to check on you."
Meilin knitted her brows. Did he drink again or something? The Bao she knew would never check up on her, even if he was paid to do so.
"I'm going to stay with you. You're in your third trimester so I have to stay with you for a while."
"Oh" Meilin softly uttered as she slowly got off the bed and took sulky steps towards the bathroom. Once she was done, she walked out again. Still slowly, so she wouldn't feel much pain from her ankle. She's still recovering from what he did to her legs. Luckily She's way better than she was before.
"She could go into labor any time. She's really heavy" Bao whispered to himself as he stared at her bump wondering why he was so interested in her health.
Later that Night Meilin woke up feeling uncomfortable from her sleeping position. Her back ached, and she turned to sleep on her side hoping it would relieve the pain even if it was just a little.
She noticed Bao was also on the same bed with her. Before she slept, the bed was empty, it was surprising to see him on her bed. It reminded her of old times but she didn't fancy the idea of it.
She got up to use the bathroom. She always had the urge to pee often ever since she got pregnant, and her new habit increased in her eight month.
She was done but she didn't want to leave the bathroom. She stared at her reflection in the mirror. A lot of visible changes in her face and body. She smiled thinking about her due date, even if she was likely to go into labour before that.
Her relationship with Haru brought good fortune. She wouldn't deny it even though she was bound to get backlash sooner or later for being a CEO's mistress and having an extra affair out of her own marriage.
She'd be prepared for it all.
Meilin woke up later in the morning and saw her breakfast on the bed side table. Bao dropped it off for her and went out to make an important call.
He was moody. He just received the worst news so far. Ai jin's been hurting him, every word she said and her actions were making him depressed. She went ahead and got married to him. She didn't care less about his feelings, she went ahead to tell him so casually like there wasn't any chances of him loving her.
How did she even? She's been struggling to do so. How did she manage to marry the man she'd always been talking about.
Bao only made it look like he was in support of it by telling her she'd have him whenever she was upset but deep down, he never wanted such to happen.
Her wedding pictures were still in his phone gallery, he didn't want to look at them again. It would take a while for him to accept that his contract had been canceled. No more pay, nothing at all.
Ai jin blocked all contact she had with him. She couldn't receive his calls and messages, he then realised he'd been a puppet all along.
He went back into the house and sat down as his orbs darted to the ceiling and cloud of hopelessness shadowed him.
Meilin made her way downstairs, "Bao...I think I'm going into labour..."
