As Duan Cai slowly opened his eyes they felt extremely heavy. The world seemed almost a blur at first as his hand slid up in front of him and bumped into something warm. After a moment he realized something was off and he came to his senses. In front of his gaze was the warm body of Bullet; who was sleeping with a slightly pained expression. Duan Cai wanted to kick the man right out of his bed into the floor below but as the memories of last night came back his face flushed slightly. Never in his past had he imagined he'd actually cry in front of someone.
Due to his moment of hesitation he was caught off guard by the sudden movement as Bullet turned over in his sleep. His body faced Duan Cai while his arm swung over and found its way around him. He had never had someone touch him in such a manner and it caused him to fly back and forth between embarrassment and rage. If there was one thing that he disliked it was being touched because it made him feel uncomfortable. Nobody in his past life would have thought to touch him so easily.
Forget it.. Duan Cai thought to himself as he closed his eyes shut to go back to sleep. He did not feel like dealing with the situation after what happened to him last night. The warmth of Bullet's body really did remind him of the feeling of a large canine. It almost felt right to refer to him as his dog even though he did it to watch his reaction. There was something about Bullet from the first time he had a glance at the man's unusual eyes that had drawn Duan Cai's interest and desire to possess him. The man's tri colored eyes were like jewels in front of Duan Cai's draconic instincts so like a dragon hoarding a jewel he had caved on a whim to chain the man to him.
Bullet's arm wrapped slightly tighter around Duan Cai causing him to slightly hold his breath for a moment. His head turned slightly to glance up at Bullet's face as he contemplated on what to do. He could feel the warmth of Bullet's breathing on the back of his neck.
"Morn'n." the sound of Bullet's voice spoke from above while Duan Cai wasn't paying attention.
"Release. Me. Now." Duan Cai glared up into those eyes that seemed to want to draw him in.
"Really?" Bullet glared back down at Duan Cai with a look as though he was trying to decipher something with a slight hint of the look as though he had another idea. He made no motions to let go of him but instead raised hand up higher until it flopped down on the back of Duan Cai's head. The warm grasp of his hand pulled his head down against Bullet's chest until he was muffled silent by how close he was to him.
Duan Cai's blood started to boil at the thought of being so close to someone else that he reflexively raised up his leg. His foot slammed hard into Bullet's stomach sending him flying off the bed from the side. The man's body landed hard onto the floor with a loud thud that could be heard from the floor below. A grunt of pain escaped Bullet's mouth as he grabbed onto his stomach as if he was trying to ease his own pain.
"What the hell was that for?" Bullet's glare shot daggers at Duan Cai as if he had done nothing wrong to deserve being kicked into the floor.
"I warned you to release me." Duan Cai's tone was cold as he sat up and stared down at the man he kicked into the floor. That warmth that had been so innocently close to his body now felt colder then if it had never been there to begin with.
"The hell is wrong with you! I didn't do it cause I knew you were enjoying yourself!" Bullet shot up to his feet with his teeth knit tightly shut as if he wanted to yell even further but could not find the words to say what he felt.
"Enjoying?" Duan Cai thought for a moment about how comfortable he had felt at the time. It made him sick to think he would actually enjoy being so close to a mortal.
"Forget it." Bullet scoffed as he turned to head for the door. He was tired of being in the same room with him.
"Where do you think you're going?" Duan Cai asked as he watched the man leaving.
"Breakfast. Your 'highness'." Bullet laughed slightly at the thought that Duan Cai was asking like some prince that had been wronged badly.
Duan Cai wanted to yell at him for last night but Bullet was not willing to stop and face him. The man left the room. A loud bang sounded as the door slammed shut behind Bullet when he left. It caused an eerie silence to flood into the room with Duan Cai as he sat there on his bed. Bullet had simply wanted to ease his own pain that Duan Cai had been causing him but he could not tell the difference in himself. The more he sat there and thought about it the more he realized that a lot of things about himself had become more like a mortal than he had realized at first. He had already started to get comfortable with their living style and something about that made him uncomfortable.
If Duan Cai could find a way back home to his world one day then what would become of him as a god when he is too use to pretending to be a mortal among the other mortals? It made him ponder over the thought. Reaching out his hand he gazed down at it as he thought about his old body. Saigai had retained his original body and that meant he was still capable of things that Duan Cai no longer was. It made him wonder if he would ever regain his old form or if he would be trapped as a mortal forever.
