"I love you." The words escaped Saigai's mouth as he slept. He could see Letya in his dreams every time he slept. It felt as though the joy of being with her haunted him and caused him more pain than anything ever since the day he lost her. Even if he spoke it out in his sleep to this day there was still no pause or falter in the blunt declaration of his love for her even when muttered in his sleep.
Saigai's eyes slowly fluttered open at the bright light coming through the window of the room he was napping in. Sounds from the others were intercepting his sleep and it made him feel conflicted. Sleep was the only place he could see the bright and happy face of his beloved and yet to realize upon waking up that she was no longer with him made him detest having them at the same time as he loved those dreams.
"Saigai, you awake yet?" a voice called out from the other side of the door.
"No." He sarcastically responded to their question. The moment his response was heard the door knob turned and in came Juniper and Lester's brother, Loris, following him from behind. Loris was the elder brother of the two and in exchange for his brother's life being spared Saigai had managed to take the man under him as he had Juniper.
"I would have come in sooner but you seemed to be.." Juniper cleared his throat. "Having a nice dream."
"Can it and just tell me if you found the girl yet." Saigai scowled and rubbed his forehead irritated. Listening to their childish remarks was not what he was interested in. The only thing that was on Saigai's mind was locating the girl that was meant to be Duan Cai's earth sister. He was not certain where the girl had vanished to but he knew if he kept looking he'd find her eventually and be able to take her out of Duan Cai's picture perfect life.
"It's not certain yet, but someone definitely is involved in her disappearance." Juniper went into detail about what he found with Saigai. From what he could tell the last place Iris had been traced to had the scent of gun powder. He could not be certain of who the person was that got involved in their affair but it was clear that they had done so deliberately. Saigai could only name a handful of reasons the person would get personally involved in such matters. They were either someone who had a personal grudge against one of them or it was someone who felt something for the girl.
"Let me know when you actually find something more useful. Now get the hell out of my room." Saigai turned his head to glare at Juniper.
Juniper simply smiled back at the deathly stare he received from Saigai. His body slowly backing up until he was out of the room and turned to walk away down the hallway. The only one left standing in the room with Saigai was Loris. The pressure in the room had lifted slightly but the room still felt deathly hot causing Loris's long blond hair to slightly stick to his skin. His body slightly shaking from the nerves that were on edge inside him.
"What do you want? Get the hell out I said. Do not make me repeat myself." Saigai's anger caused the air to shudder around him. His teeth grinding slightly against each other as he refrained from killing the man the best he could.
"Sir, my sect has an event soon.. I heard he'll be there." Loris smiled slightly as he sold out Duan Cai's plan to attend. He did not even need to verify the news himself because he was well aware of his brother's feelings towards Duan Cai. It was only a matter of time before his brother would rope the man into showing up. With the Kaen sect and everyone else showing up to the event he knew they would clearly take the bait.
"I'm already aware of this now get out!" Saigai shouted once more causing the heat in the room to rise even further. Loris quickly fled from the room after delivering his message to the man. It was obvious to Saigai that the man was deliberately trying to rope him into something to benefit himself. Whether or not Loris would benefit from it mattered not to Saigai because he had already planned on going to the event. It would be for another reason entirely that he went to the event where all the clans came together at Yang sect.
"Letya, the day is coming soon. It's only a matter of time now.. Do not forsake me yet.." He paced himself over to the window and stared out at the bright blue sky that he only felt sick to see without her there by his side. The heat in the room slowly became so thick that the window shattered in front of him from the pulsing heat waves that broke loose from his body as he stood there. His black and gold eyes never wavered in the least as the glass flew in all directions around him.
A few pieces of glass struck Saigai's body instantly slicing his skin open. A slice of the glass had even wedged itself into his cheek. Not even so much of a noise escaped from him in the least from being wounded by the shattered window. Pulling the glass from his face he could feel his own blood sliding down his face as the wound slowly healed itself as though it had never been there from the beginning. He dropped the glass from his hand to the floor and stepped closer to the window.
The air felt nice against his boiling hot skin. He could imagine that Letya would had loved to see the world known as earth with her own eyes. Even though he could not show it to her he could imagine how she would react if he had been given the chance.
"How's one to live.. without his heart, Letya?" He whispered the question under his breath as a dark shadow cast over his face. His head tilting downward as he detested the beauty of the world around him. Suddenly a slight smile forced its way onto his lips as he realized a single tear had escaped his eye, slowly sliding its way down his cheek.
