"Mommy! Look! The leaves are falling!" a child's voice echoed.
Behind the child, a burst of womanly laughter came, "Of course, it's the season of fall. They are preparing for the winter, you see."
"They're so pretty! Like mommy and daddy!" the child laughed as it hugged their mother. The mother hugged back her child as she picked it up and carried the child to a bench.
The mother gently stroked the head of the child but saying something that the baby didn't understand. When the baby asked, nothing was coming out of their mouth. Soon, a slow liquid black slime started to creep around the trees and devouring the leaves.
Before the slime could touch the child, Ruby jolted up from her bed. She was covered in sweat and was breathing heavily. Ruby could hear her alarm clock going off as she quickly turned it off before waking the two girls sleeping with her.
It was the first day of the entrance exam for Soar High Academy! Ruby, who is the HeadMaster of the school, has a big job to do during its opening. Students around the world are trying their best to get into one of the most prestigious hunter schools. Luckily for her, Ruby saved a spot for Ivy and Neo.
Ivy was the first to wake up after Ruby's call. She had brunette hair with cat-like moon eyes. Her hair was a mess every time she would sleep. Also, she's a catgirl. (Nya~).
The second to wake up was Neo. It usually took Neo a longer time to wake up, but once she's past the sleepiness, she has a lot of energy inside. She had heterochromia eyes, pink and brown, and one side of her head pink and another brown. Neo was kinda like the Neapolitan ice cream.
It wasn't uncommon for the three of them to do things together. Showering, brushing their teeth, they did it all together. Once all was done, they got dressed in their attire for today. Since the academy wasn't far away, the two didn't have to stay in the dorms, unlike foreign students.
Ruby glanced over at Ivy, she looked a little bit...spacey. It was a bit rare to see space out, especially so early in the morning. Ruby was about to ask Ivy before seeing her gaze and shook her head. As much as Ruby wanted to rebutted, she didn't have much of a chance against Ivy.
It was Neo and Ivy's first day of Soar High, so Ruby had to make sure they were ready in some cases. She knew both of them were capable of fighting alone or together. She was more worried about the idiots that would interfere with the two. By the time breakfast was ready, all three of them were prepared for their day.
Ruby took a quick glance at Ivy's mechanic hands and saw the same white gloves when they first met. When she brought it up once, Ivy simply told her to ask the king. It was weird at first, but Ruby's father gave some insight on why Ivy continued to wear the gloves.
It was a quiet breakfast, Neo was still trying to wake herself up, Ivy barely talks in general, and Ruby tends to go through articles and emails from people. The king often joins them for breakfast, but today, he overslept. Ivy finished her breakfast before getting up and washing off her plate. Recently, Ivy has been helping a lot with the kitchen and the chefs, even made some dishes herself.
Ruby smiled at Ivy's back before seeing Neo fall asleep. "Neo! Wake up!"
"F-Five more...min-minutes..zzz."
Groaning, Ruby pinched Neo's cheeks until the girl finally moved her butt. Neo rubbed her cheek and glared at Ruby before getting a slap on her head. She rubbed the bump now on her head as she growled at Ruby.
"What was the for?!" Neo yelled. She was just trying to get in some more sleep.
Ruby crossed her arms and simply said, "We're leaving. Get ready at the front gate."
With those departing words, Ruby collected both hers and Neo's plate before heading into the kitchen. She saw the chefs making a few meals for the three of them with Ivy at the sink, washing off her plate. One of the chefs took the plates from Ruby's hand and took them to Ivy.
"Ivy! We'll be leaving soon!" Ruby shouted, waiting for a response. Ivy nodded her head before quickly taking care of the rest. Ruby walked away and waited with Neo at the front gate.

Arriving at the entrance of Soar High Academy, Ruby had to leave Ivy and Neo until the evening. Ivy and the driver had a conversation. It was wasn't uncommon for the driver, David, after a while, and Ivy to talk a little bit. Though it was all secrets since Ivy didn't say anything even after Ruby's interrogation methods. Which was another thing that Ruby realized, she wouldn't get any information from Ivy that easily.
Since Ivy and Neo didn't have their guide for the school, Omega had to display a map to help the two. Though it was a bit embarrassing for Neo, Ivy didn't seem to care about the public's judgment. Neo was still a little bit sleepy, but at this time, she was getting ready for the day. She made small conversations with Ivy about the possible plan for getting through the entrance exam.
Ivy stopped before looking behind her, she could have sworn she felt like someone was spying on her. Neo tried to follow Ivy's gaze but couldn't figure out what was wrong. Ivy sighed before walking ahead. Neo quickly caught up to her and asked.
"What was that about?"
"Felt like someone was stalking," Ivy replied. She had a monotone voice with no emotion. Ivy looked over at the place before saying they should take a walk around the campus.

Ruby was locked in a conference room with the other staff. There were a total of twenty staff, most were teachers, but some were for surveillance. Ruby called a quick meeting to make sure everyone knew what they were doing and to execute it flawlessly. She knew it was a bit silly, but Ruby just had an irking feeling that this year was going to be...problematic.
Currently, Akagi and herself were to examine the entrance exam. At the same time, the other teachers help with the first years and teaching for the other years. However, things have changed since Levy wants to join with the two. Levy already apologize for acting so selfish, but she too felt something very weird about this year.
"Levy, don't you have a first-period class to teach?" Professor Scarlet asked. Her appearance was shining—a burning flame of hotness.
Akagi nodded as well since she actually looked over Levy's schedule. She whispered into Levy's ear before seeing the girl's face steam up. Akagi smiled before waiting for Ruby's orders.
"Levy, if you can make it on time after your first period. Then you may watch; however, this will result in a bit of punishment," Ruby's voice was clear but stern. She wasn't usually harsh, but she didn't think three professors needed was necessary for the entrance exam.
Levy's cat ears perked up as she bounced around in her seat. Akagi had to calm her down while Scarlet was acting as a secretary for Ruby until she found one. Ruby dismissed everyone except Akagi and Levy.
"Listen, I understand you two are in a relationship," Ruby started with her face down. "But please, keep it appropriate during school hours."
Levy and Akagi nodded before leaving as well. Only Scarlet and Ruby remained. Scarlet was currently skimming through all the new students before stopping at Ivy. When she asked why most of Ivy's information was redacted or unknown. Ruby simply said, "Because she wouldn't like her privacy being peeked."
