*SAYURI SCHREIBER*
Me and Mitsuru are sitting at the end of the bus. Mitsuru is laying down on the last row of seats, on his back, and I'm sitting on the seat infront of him, facing his direction.
"Didn't you see her?..."
"Huh?" I was startled, since he randomly began to talk but I had no idea who he was referring to.
"The girl..." You mean the girl you 'supposedly' ran after.
"No. I thought you were just running for no reason..."
"And why would I do that...? You seriously didn't see her?..."
I shook my head, gesturing it as a negative. Mitsuru sighed and closed his eyes...
"...I thought that girl was going to kill herself..."
I now realise that Misturu has had some problems with suicide before... I really wish he never attempted...
"Maybe... you just saw a ghost, it's really common in these woods..." I wanted to sound enlightening and make a joke out of it.
"I don't believe in ghosts... and I'm very sure I saw her!"
I really didn't know what to say at this point...
"What if...I was in a story book and I saw a girl, no one else could see... what do you think would happen to me?..."
That's odd... I never thought he would speak so surrealistic.
"Umm... maybe, he would have some kind of power to see the undead... and he would... have to learn the difference between the dead and the living...?"
I seriously had no idea... it was a weird question to begin with...
"That's an interesting answer..." he got up from his resting position.
"But in a setting like this... where people would come to kill themselves and he saw a ''ghost, wouldn't that mean that he could only see ''the ghosts that have killed themselves..." he continued.
'Suicidal ghosts?' Why is he thinking of a strange story in the first place?...
"How did the character know that he could only see 'suicidal ghosts?'" I put my quotation fingers for that particular word.
"Because there's a ghost that has been following him around... Ever since, he saw it die..."
"And that 'ghost'....committed suicide". He froze. I couldn't see the wearing on his face, but I had a gut feeling that he was stone ice.
He licked his bottom lip, as if to erase everything he just said. It took him a while to respond,
"That's right..." he lifted his chin and showed me an evil grin.
"Have you... seen somone... kill themselves?..." I know it was a sensitive question to ask but I couldn't help it... I was concerned.
*MITSURU FUKUYAMA*
I was about to tell her the truth, about my sister, but then it came to me... I never planned to tell her anything from the start. I didn't know yet,...If I could trust her...
So, I needed to know...
"A Wolf in sheep's clothing... She's a very bad person..."
I didn't know who to trust... Who is right and who is wrong?
Who is bad and who is Good?
I laid back down, left my legs hanging over the edge and rested my head on a pillow.
"Are you a bad person?..." Her expression changed drastically, her eyes widened in shock.
However, her lips curved into a gentle smile.
"Do you think I'm a bad person?..." She asked.
"I don't know. That's why I'm asking you." She leaned back, away from my view.
"If you asking about my opinion... Then, I think... I'm a very bad human being..." She said it in such a bold tone, making me wonder... what has she done that was so bad that she would label herself as a 'bad human being?
"No... I can't call myself that... I'm not a human being at all..."
"What?..." I didn't know what to say or how to react... I never ever expected her to say something like this...
Someone, who is so open and that she wants to be friends with everyone...
How can somone like her call herself unworthy to be a human being?...
"So, what do you think?... Do you still trust me?..." She turned and looked at me with a deep smile.
I didn't know what to say... I've been having doubts about trusting her or not... But, maybe there's something that the principal knows that I don't...
If that was the case, then isn't he just as suspicious as she is?...
Why didn't he tell me what she did in the past?...
What did she do that made her say those words...?
"I can be the same crybaby I once Was! I can cry all I want... but I won't ever just stand there!"
"The ones who just stand hopelessly! Feeling that they won't be able to do anything in their life!..."
"Are the ones....
Who... end up breaking..."
I lifted my head up and looked in her direction. I was only able to see the back of her head. But I said it anyway...
I have doubts... I don't know if you're good or bad... I don't know if you'll abandon me or stab me in the back...I don't know...but...I do know you always say the truth."
She looked back at me, scared, and she seems sceptical but I wasn't sure.
"Everything you said to me... Everything about changing, how we should evolve. Going through risks and obstacles. Never giving up!... You're special... You have pain inside your heart...but you have hope...! Whether, you're a good person or a bad person, it doesn't matter to me...
As long as you're honest...I'll just hope..." I put my head down. "You'll never leave me..."
I didn't mean to say that out loud! Scratch that! I felt strange... I think... I felt... Embarrassed?!
Then, I heard a small giggle... I look up, immediately and froze.
"Oh. Mitsuru! You're so funny!"
"Huh?!"
"Or are you just being naive?..."
"What?!..."
*SAYURI SCHREIBER *
Mitsuru's actually cute! Look at his face! He's gone all red! I need a camera quick! Or else I'll miss this chance!...
But seriously, though!.... He's being so naive... He doesn't know how bad I am... He doesn't know that I'm putting on an act!
He doesn't know... Who the bad guy of this story is...
To be continued. . .
