Karla Kuznetsov's POV
I was looking at the chandelier that was shining on the ceiling before my eyes were moving with the spinning of the spinning movement of the ceiling fan. I was looking much further down as I was looking at the ornaments that were covering the windows that were from ceiling to floor covered with curtains and gems that were shining in the dim light.
I was mesmerized before I realized someone was in the room with me as he was clearing his throat at me. I was turning toward the sound as I can see there was a man that was standing next to the bed. I was looking at the familiar face.
Red hair.
Garnet eyes.
High cheekbones.
Full, kissable lips.
Toned, muscular, lean body.
I know this person as I was looking at his garnet eyes that were shining at me as he was staring at me. I was trying to remember him but right now, my head was hurting like hell.
"Are you alright?" He asked me. His husky baritone voice was calming me down as if my body knows that I can trust him that he will not be hurting me.
Well, not yet. I know that from experience.
"Do not be alarmed, Kiska. I was just wanted to know if you're okay or not. I will not pounce on you," he said as he was smiling at me. It must be the eyes that were holding so much mischief in them that made me wary of him.
"Why do you kidnap me, Alan?" I asked him before he was smirking at me. My voice was hoarse before he was handing me a glass of water. I looked at it as if it was poisoned with something.
And maybe it was.
Alan chuckled again before he was putting the glass of water on the night table. He sighed before his garnet eyes were clashing with my green orbs.
"Look, I know that you were confused right now but believe me when I say this, Kiska, I will not hurt you and you are safe with me," he said before he was getting up from the chair that he was sitting next to my bed.
"I will give you some privacy. Maybe you would like a bath considering that you were out cold for 3 days. I think a bath will clear your mind. It's right through there," he said as he was pointing at the door that was inside the room next to my right. I nodded at him before Alan was smiling at me.
"I see you in a bit then," he said as he was moving out of the room before I was looking around the room. There must be a way out before I was trapped inside here forever. I might believe that Alan would not hurt me but I have trusted my father to do the same for me. And I was his daughter.
I think it was safe to say that my only chance of surviving was to get out of here and fast.
I was moving out of the room before I was looking at the ceiling-to-floor windows. It was locked when I was nudging it. I clicked my tongue before I was moving toward the other side of the room.
There was nothing that I can use to break the window? I was searching high and low for something that I can use to knock the windows out. I have to find something.
But first, I have to pee.
I went to the bathroom before I was emptying my tank as I sighed in relief. I was looking around before I saw the bathrobe and I thought that a bath would not hurt. I shrugged before I was stripping naked and hit the shower.
I sighed when the warm water hit my sore muscles. The water fully awakened me and I was relieved that I can think straight now. Okay, I was trapped, what should I do to get out of here? I was looking around before I was searching high and low in the bathroom. Then an idea struck me.
"Well, if there was no way out, the only way is for him to take me out," I said as I was looking at the shaving blade. I was smirking before I was taking it out and I was ready to pain it out.
"Argh!" I shouted as I was pretending that I was shaving my legs before I was bleeding out. "Help!" I shouted at the top of my lungs before the door was bursting open and a panicked Alan was coming inside the room.
"What happened?" He asked as he was looking at the bleeding legs and hands. I was crying before Alan picked me up bridal style as I was wearing a towel around my body.
"Hang on. We're going to get the doctor. Mrs. Smith!" He called before I was being patted down with towels that were now red with my blood. I cried so hard that I don't think it was a fake anymore.
"It hurt, Alan. It hurt so bad. I can't…"
"No, we will cover it up. Mrs. Smith! Call the doctor, hurry," Alan said as he was putting the towel on top of my wounds. I was crying out loud before my heart was beating wildly right now. I was looking at a distraught Alan as if he was hurting to see me bleeding right now.
"Stay with me, Kiska. Please, do not die on me. Mrs. Smith!"Alan said before he was getting away from me and I was being left alone before he was standing at the door and looked out of the room. Then he cursed.
"Then, we don't have a choice," Alan said before he was pulling some clothes before he was putting an overlarge t-shirt as if it was a dress on me. Then, he was picking me up again bridal style before he was moving out of the room and move to the garage.
"Alan, where are we going?" I asked him as I was clinging to him as my life depended on him. He held me tight before he was unlocking the door and put me in the passenger seat.
"We are going to Rome Hospital. Do not fall asleep," he said as he kissed my forehead which was sweating furiously before I was leaning against the door. He closed the door and went to the driver seat.
Alan started the ignition before he was speeding off from the garage into the busy street of Rome before we were at the hospital. A few minutes later, I was being admitted to the hospital as I was looking at the white ceiling and the smell of sanitizer was overwhelming.
I hated the hospital.
I was looking at the doctor that was talking with Alan as I was pretending to be hazy when I was fully awake and I was eavesdropping on their conversation.
"Thank goodness you made in time. If not, she would be bleeding to death now," the doctor said as I was blinking slowly like I was dosed. Alan sighed.
"I know. It was a distraught feeling after all. I cannot thank you enough, my friend," Alan said as he was smiling at the doctor. I think the doctor's name was Kovacs.
"No worries. It was a good thing that I don't move back to my country before you show up unannounced. What happened?" He asked before Alan was looking at me. I was smiling at him before he was shaking his head.
"I don't know but I know that it was a good thing that she shouted when it first happened," he said as I was blinking again before I was snuggling to the bed. I was trying to pretend to sleep before carrying out my plan.
"Okay, I will leave it to you then. When can she discharged?" Alan asked me before I was looking at the ceiling again. The doctor sighed.
"Tomorrow. I think you might want to get some sleep as you need it. You look like a mess, dude," his friend said before Alan was glaring at him.
"Shut up, Raymond,"
"Whatever you say,'' Raymond said as he was looking at his phone before he frowned.
"Okay, look I have to go. They need me in the surgery. I see you later to check up on her," he said as he was getting out of the room before Alan was coming to sit on the bed next to me before pulling my hands into his. He kissed my knuckles before I was blinking at him.
"I am so sorry, Kiska. I don't want this to happen," he whispered to me before I was shaking my head.
"It's fine. It was my fault anyway,"
"Well, it would not happen if I did not put it there. I will make sure that you will not be harmed again," he said as he was looking into my eyes. Into my soul with his garnet eyes. My heart was running wild as I know that I will have to leave him.
I was not a good woman after all.
I smiled before I was nodding at him. Alan was kissing my forehead before he was leaning closer to my lips before he was perking my lips. I sighed before I was closing my eyes, pretending to show him that I wanted to sleep. Alan got the message before he was out of the room and after a few moments, I was opening my eyes to find the room was empty.
I was sneaking out of the bed before I was pulling the wires out of my veins and I was looking at the window now. I was looking at the door as I was opening the window and I was on the second floor.
Not too bad.
I was looking at the door again before I was standing on the ledge and I was looking down. I was turning to see that Alan was coming and before I knew it, I was jumping off, moving along the shadow into the nightless sky.
I think I cannot miss Alan even if I wanted to.
