Chapter 101 - Portion 2: The Disappearance

Karla Kuznetsov's POV

After some time when my sister was going on her honeymoon in Malta, she was back in Moscow to clean up the basement of my father that he was using it for the experiment that he was extracting my blood for his obsession.

I shivered with fear by that notion.

I was looking around the basement before I was hearing some commotion upstairs. I smiled to myself when I know that Katrina and Conall were here. I was about to leave before I saw something in the basement that caught my eyes. I went to look at it and it was something that I don't think Kat will be thrilled to know about this.

But before that, I must greet my twin.

I was running upstairs from the basement when I saw that Conall, her husband, was narrowing his eyes at her. Kat just smirked at him before I was smiling from afar and shouted to her.

"Sister!"

Kat turned before she was smiling when she was looking at me. I was happy to know that my twin was coming for a visit but I know that there was something that I have to tell them as well since they have been experiencing themselves with time travel.

"Hello, Karla," my twin said before I was hugging her and releasing her from my death grip. I was smiling before I was trying to make myself presentable before I greeted Conall.

"And hello to you too, brother," I said as I was hugging him. But Conall was stiffed as he was not familiar with me yet.

"I hope that you have my present from Malta or this guy doesn't let you buy anything," I said as I was looking at them. I know that Conall can speak Russian if not how can Katrina will be attracted to him.

"Yeah, and you said that I was the best brother you ever had," Conall said before I was smiling at him.

"Oh my. Silly me, sorry, I don't think that you would understand," I said as I was looking at him with mischief.

"Well, don't just stand there. You guys must be exhausted, let's have dinner before anything. I don't want to keep you guys waiting," I said as I was pulling them toward the dining hall.

"We just ate," Conall protested.

"well, as much as you hate to be at that seat, you have to. It's a custom that the head of the family to be seated over there," I said as I was looking at Conall. He turned to his wife before my twin just laughed at him.

"Not helping, love," he said.

"Sorry, but you have to do ever since dad," I said before I was trailing off. I don't want to get emotional. He was nothing but being cruel to me.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I don't mean it to be like this," Conall said before my twin was hugging me. I shook my head.

"It's fine. He deserved it. Now, let's eat," I said before the servants came and served us. I was trying to keep my mind off from the finding that I have done in the basement as I was asking for their trip to Malta.

"So, how's Malta? I heard it was the best time right now to go with someone special," I said as I was smirking over the edge of the glass. Conall cleared his throat before Kat was glaring at me. I laughed.

"Oh come on! I was teasing. So any development for the new addition to the family?" I asked again before Kat was blushing and Conall was avoiding eye contact.

"Okay, I think I will not have this with you," Kat said as I was shaking my head. I was clearing my throat before I was looking at them both. It's time to tell them.

"Okay, so I have something to share with you guys," I said as I was looking at them. I was taking a deep breath before I was regarding my twin and my brother.

"I have found some books that dad used to do his research. And I think you guys need to take a look at it. I know that it was nothing much but you might get something out of it," I said before Conall was looking at Kat and Kat was looking at her husband.

"Did you read what was it about?" Conall asked me before I was nodding.

"It has something to do with time travel so I know that you will be finding that amusing and curious about it," I said as Conall was rubbing his mouth.

"I think we have to take a look then," Conall said as Kat was nodding her head.

"Well, shall we?' I said as I was standing up from the chair and we were out of the dining hall before we were going to the basement.

"It's this way," I said as I was opening the door that leads to the basement. I turned on the lights as we descended the stairs and I was looking at the laboratory that was sticking out like a sore thumb.

"Wow, it's larger than I expected," Conall said as I was showing them the book that I saw earlier.

"Has this been here ever since?" Conall asked me before I was showing Kat something.

"Huh?" Kat said before she was looking at it. I know how much I was acting when I was reading it the first time.

"Well, that's unusual. I don't remember it being here. I can put it down if you like," Kat said as I was nodding at her. Conall sighed before his look was determined to make sure that this thing will never be around again.

"No, I'll take it. We can't have a risk of it being in the country and let the government knows. I will move it back to Scotland," my brother in law said before Kat was nodding at him.

And so, we did clean out the basement until it was bare and I was happy with the results.

"Well, that's pretty much it," Kat said as I was looking at them both.

"Alright, we're going to take out leave now," Conall said as he was yawning and I know that they have been tired from the journey that they made from Malta to Russia.

"Yeah, you guys go ahead. I'll just have some last-minute checklist to take a look at," I said as I was rummaging through stuff again.

"Okay, don't stay up too late," my twin said before she kissed my cheeks and took off. I smiled at them before I was looking around again. There was nothing to say but I know that handiwork.

"Good night," I mumbled to her.

"Good night," Kat said before they were out of the basement as I was looking at the stuff that was laying in the basement right now.

It must be him. But how? How does he know all about this? I've seen it in my vision. He was the one that will end to the world. I have to stop him.

"Kiska, what are you doing? Waiting for me?" A voice made me stopped on my track. I turned around to see that he was leaning on the wall looking handsome as he always did.

"Hi, Alan," I said mumbling as I was trying to get the stuff that I don't want him to know about.

"Don't turn your back on me and look at me when I'm here," he turned me around before and hit my back on the table. I can feel his hard bulge restrained in his pants as his eyes were dark with desire.

"Kiska," was the last thing he said before he kissed me on the lips. I was so shocked at first before I responded with hunger as well. I don't think that he was the only one that missed this.

"I missed you, my love," he said as his eyes were roaming my body. I was in a daze as I looked at him.

"What are you doing here? I thought you've gone this afternoon," I said as I looked at him. He laughed before he took out something from his pocket.

"I'm not truly gone, my love. Merely just a speck in time and now, you're coming with me," he said before he kissed me again as I felt pain in my hand as he was pulling my hand into his and I can feel the cold gem was getting hotter and hotter and suddenly, I was not in my basement anymore.

"Karla, are you okay in there? I heard something smashed," my sister's voice coming inside the hallway toward the basement. But, I was nowhere to be found.
