Arianna Contos' POV
I was looking at the glass that was acting as a mirror right now. I was the familiar white tunic and the grand purple stola that said about my status that was related to the royal family. I sighed as I was looking at the wig that they put on my head.
I think I might have a headache after this.
"Can you please loose this up for me?" I asked as I was looking at the wig. The maids were laughing before they shook their heads.
"No can do princess, we have to make sure that you look presentable today. It will be your ay for your debut as prince's fiancée," they said as I sighed.
"Of course," I mumbled before I was looking at the figure that was coming into the dressing room. Well, two figures.
"Your highness," the maids said as they bowed to him. I was fixing my hair before I turned to look at Julian and Lucas behind him. I was making eye contact briefly before Julian was pulling me closer to him and kissed me out of nowhere.
Now I know Lucas will see that as a threat.
"You look stunning my dear. I cannot wait for the world to know that you're mine," he said as I was smiling at him. I saw that Lucas was gripping his hands into fists before I stepped away from him.
"Right, I will get going then. I was hoping we got the front seat," I said as Julian laughed at my statement.
"What are you talking about? Of course, we have that. We're royals after all," he said as Julian was putting his hand on my lower back as we were leaving my chamber. Lucas remained stoic before we were out of the chamber and into the long hallway right now.
I was looking around as I need to make sure that everything will be in place for us to get the citrine. I know where it was located, but I don't have any clue on how to get there. It must be in the master bedroom of the royalty so that would be hard to get.
"What are you looking at?" Julian asked me before I was turning to look at him. He was arching his eyebrow at me but I don't think he knows what I was thinking right now. So I smiled at him.
"Oh, nothing. I was just thinking, that's all," I said as I was trying to figure out what I was doing right now. Lucas was walking behind us as I can sense that his stare was on my back.
Or rather on Julian's hand on my lower back.
"Okay. What are you thinking about? Are you nervous that people will not like you?" He asked as I was looking at the entrance of the palace. The chariot for us was waiting and I gulped at the sight.
"Something like that," I said as I was walking to the side of the chariot. Julian helped me to get on the chariot as he put his hands securely on my waistline. Julian chuckled before Lucas was sitting behind the chariot.
"Do not fret about it. They would love you and I will be more than happy to get rid of those who were disagreeing with my choice of wife," Julian said before the chariot moved and we were out of the courtyard.
I was looking around the acropolis as it was radiant and shining. I cannot seem to think of anything else but the stuff that I will be missing later on. Believe or not, I love to record this living in Ancient Greece right now.
Then we saw the amphitheater as I was looking at the golden chariot that was carrying the royal king and queen. We were parked behind them before Julian got off and helped me to get off from the chariot.
"So, I hope you will enjoy it today," Julian whispered to me as I was nodding at him. He was looking at me before I was gripping his arm as we were inside the amphitheater and I was looking around.
The seating was huge, a semi-circle stadium with people of different styles of togas and stola were sitting on the seat. I was walking beside Julian that I don't notice we were in our places now.
"Ladies and gentlemen, your highnesses, it was my great honor to present my work, Iliad," Homer said as I was looking at the man that was on the stage. He was in his early 20s and he was having this enchanting smile of his.
I think he was a lady's man after all.
We clapped before the drama started and I was focusing on the prize of the day. The crown that the queen was wearing. They were on the dais and Julian and I was sitting beside them. I think I have to create a diversion so that we can get out of here fast.
"Hey," Lucas said as I was turning to look at him. He was nodding his head to the right so that I can follow him later on. I was nodding at him before I was asking Julian to excuse myself. Julian was absorbed in the drama that I just shrugged and was off to find Lucas behind the dais.
"What do you have in mind now?" Lucas asked me as I was looking at the dais. I don't think that we would be needing a lot of time but to create a diversion, that would be something else.
"I don't know. I thought the queen would wear something else today but it seems I was mistaken," I said as I was grunting at myself. I think my skill was not useful unless I have the right tool.
"Wait, I got it," I said as I was looking at the man that would do anything to get his hand on the crown right now.
"Oh no. I don't like that you were looking at me like that," he said as I was smirking at Lucas. I was stepping closer at him before I was taking off my stola.
"Don't worry, it will not hurt. Well, kind of," I said as I was working onto my plan.
Lucas Dow's POV
I have to say that my woman was insane. I was being forced to do some makeup and pretended to be stabbed for real on the stage as Ari was doing some of her stuff right now. And I think I like to think that she was unique in her way.
I was smiling before I was getting on the stage and I was gasping. The actors were looking at me as if I was mad and maybe I was.
When I was not covered with fake blood that Ari did with some raspberries.
"Help…me…" I said before I was bursting some fake blood of raspberries from my mouth as I was falling to the floor. The people were murmuring before something exploded.
And I think that was the cue for me to play dead.
"It's an attack!"
"Protect the king and queen!
"Protect the prince!"
Everyone was shouting as I was looking from the floor before I was rolling off in the chaos. I cannot let the citizen sees that I was not dead or I might get executed on the spot.
I dumped my stuff backstage and I was putting on the clothing that I came from before. The suit that I was wearing before I saw someone with the gold mask was appearing beside me.
"I miss these pants," Ari said as she was checking me out. I was raking my hands through my hair before she smirked.
"And apparently, I missed your suit after all," Ari said before she was coming closer. I don't think I want to push her away when she was about to kiss me before we were interrupted.
"Hmm, mmm," Andrea said as I was turning to look at her. She was arching her eyebrow at us before we were chuckling nervously.
"Are we going to revolt or what? Freedom!" She said before I was taking Ari's hand and we were running toward our future right now.
