Arianna Contos' POV
I was stepping away a bit from Lucas before he was settling his hands on my waistline. I was looking at his silver eyes before I was sighing. I don't know what to say but I know that I have to tell him one way or the other.
"Well, it's a long story anyway," I said as I was looking at Lucas. He arched his eyebrow at me before I was clearing my throat.
"So, do you know The House of Levakis?" I asked him as he was nodding at them.
"Yes, they are influential enough from Greece and they have ties with the monarchs around the world, the UK included as well," he said as I nodded at him. At least he knows that.
"Well, I was kind of related to them," I said as Lucas was shooting his eyebrows now at me.
"In what way?"
"Um, I was the niece to the current princess. She's my aunt. I was supposed to be the next in line but I don't since…" I trailed off before I was fidgeting my fingers as I was trying to make sure that everything will be forgotten but unfortunately for Lucas, he did not dismiss it easily.
"A little bit enlightenment, please?" He asked as he was crossing his hands in front of his chest now. I was looking at him before I was twisting my fingers as I was smiling nervously at him.
"Well, I will be the one next in line if I was to be married," I said as Lucas' eyes darkened. I don't think he liked to hear that.
"Is that the present time prospect or this time?" He asked as I was shaking my head at him.
"Present-day, our time. Not this. I don't even know what Julian sees in me. I think he only took me as his fiancée because the Oracle said so. It was trending in Ancient Greece to follow what the Oracle said or you will be plowing into your death early.
"Hmm," was the only answer that I got from Lucas now.
"What? You don't have anything to say on this matter?" I asked as I was looking at Lucas. If I wanted to get out of here, I think I need to collaborate with Lucas and right now, he was not being helpful with his judgment.
"Okay, I understand. You don't trust me since I was Chrysi Gynaika. I know I was not to be trusted again after—"
"After what?" Lucas asked before he was stepping closer again and my back hit the wall. I was gulping when I realized that I wore a muslin nightdress. I don't think he would not appreciate my form but that's not the point right now.
"Well, I'm waiting," he said as he was twisting the hair in his fingers. I was looking at him before I was taking a deep breath.
"I know that you have been chasing my alter ego for 4 years and you want to put me behind jails but I have a reason why I have to take the Citrine of Greece into my custody," I said as Lucas arched his eyebrow.
"And that is?"
Well, it's time for the world to know the truth.
"It belonged to my family, it's my parents' heirloom that somehow the black market got it and it was lost from my hands when I first found out about it," I said before Lucas was looking at me. He was entering my soul as I was looking into his slate orbs as he was leaning closer to me.
"And what did you do with that fact? Even if it belongs to you, you have to obtain it in the right way," Lucas said as he was speaking with his huskiness. I was shivering right now.
"Well, I did but the court was not in favor for me. They chose the museum over me, the rightful heir," I said as I felt the tears were brimming my eyes before I closed it. I took a deep breath as I was sighing.
"Look. I am sorry to say that you are trying to do your job and I get it. I will turn myself in when we're back in our time again," I said quietly before Lucas scoffed. I opened my eyes to look at his darkened expression.
"No one, and I mean no one, will ever take you away from me again, especially that bastard that called himself Prince Julian," Lucas said and the next thing I know, I was laying beneath Lucas with his eyes darkened with desire.
Lucas Dow's POV
I cannot seem to forget how that bastard was kissing my woman. My Ari. I think I have to remind her how it would feel if she was mine. And I loved to make sure that she will become real after this.
I was pushing her to the ground before I was breathing heavily. Ari was widening her eyes before she was breathing hard. I can see that her nipples were hardened underneath the taunting muslin nightdress that she wore to bed.
It made me wonder if she shared her bed with that prince.
I was gritting my teeth as I was trying to control the green monster inside me right now. I was gripping my hands into fists before Ari was staring at me with her melted chocolate eyes.
"Lucas," was the last thing that she said as I was claiming her mouth as I owned it. And I did but I don't think Ari knows that. So I have to remind her who she belonged to.
I was gripping her hair in my hand as I was kissing her right now. I was slipping my tongue out to lick her lower lips before she moaned and I took that opportunity to plunge my tongue inside her mouth.
It tasted of honey and wine from the dinner that she drank. I was happy to know that she was moaning and she was gripping my shoulders for support. I was pulling her closer as she was sitting up before she was straddling my legs.
I smirked in the kiss before she was breaking the kiss to kiss me on the jaws and neck. I was moaning as I can sense that blood was pumping to my groin right now.
"If you don't stop right now, I don't think I can control myself, love," I said as I was looking into her brown eyes. She smirked before she was pushing me down on the floor.
"You entered my room to seduce me but I think it was the other way around now," she said huskily as the straps of her nightdress were falling down her shoulders. I was tempted to remove it before I was shaking my head.
"We need a plan to get out of here," I said as I was looking at Ari. She was playing with my chest now.
"And what is it? I know that you have a plan already, Mr. Dow," she said as I was smirking at my tempting minx.
I think I loved to see if she was being a tease when I was the one that will be in control in the bedroom.
"Do you still remember the gemstone that we touched before we in this mess?" I asked Ari as she was nodding at me.
"Yes, it was the Citrine of Greece,"
"What if I told you that we need to find that gemstone so that we can go back to our time? But we have to locate it from this period and I don't think I know where it was," I said as I sighed. Ari was arching her eyebrow at me before she was nodding at me.
"I think I know where it was located," she said before I turned sharply at her. She smirked.
"You did? And you did not tell me?" I asked her as she shrugged.
"I don't think that you would be interested,"
"But I am right now," I said as I was looking at her. Ari frowned.
"Fine, it was on the queen's laurel crown. And I think I have a way to get it," Ari said as she was smirking at me. I don't think I liked that at all.
Not one bit.
