Chereads / The Lady of Revenge / Chapter 2 - Eldest Miss Qian

Chapter 2 - Eldest Miss Qian

"Eldest miss! Eldest miss, please do not scare this servant! Where are you?" A loud heart-wrenching shout could be heard in the dense forest.

A young girl slowly opened her eyes and observed her surroundings. There were men in different states of undress as they eyed her with lust and desire. She looked down and saw her clothes were ripped open. Her feminine body was exposed to everyone to enjoy.

Suddenly, she felt a hand on her chest. A hand started to grope her body and a chill went down her spine.

"Get your disgusting hand off me, you pig." She turned and stared at the person who laid his hands on her.

"You are awake? As I thought, the drug was not that effective." The man disregarded her words as he grinned. If the girl was still alive, he could have more fun. After all, there is no fun in playing with a dead log.

"You have been warned, now die."

"Keep that attitude going while I taste you," The man gave her a sleazy grin as he placed both hands on her body. A sudden purplish light flashed out and a pair of hands fell onto the ground.

Blood spurted out from his amputated arm and he began screaming in pain. The young girl stood up and glanced at the state of her dress. With a wave of her hand, her hair and dress returned to their original state.

The men around her seem to realize that they are in danger but before they managed to turn around and run, they all fell under a wave of her hand.

In her lifetime, she spent her time learning the dark arts from a traveling master and managed to stay in power by managing the inner palace. After her death and her appointment as the Lord, her powers only got stronger. No human would be able to escape her grasp.

There are not many cultivators left on the continent. There are many demons and evil spirits that linger in the human realm. Humans who have passed on and refuse to cross over to the gates of Hell are called the lost spirits. Lost spirits are harmless but if they commit acts of evil such as harming any humans, they will transform into an evil spirit.

On the other hand, demons are not allowed to roam the human world. But there are some that refuse to obey and have found ways to sneak into the human world for their desires. The nobles frequently form groups to hunt these outlaws along with the groups from heaven but there was never enough manpower.

Cultivators are humans born with the ability to control their spiritual powers. There are the normal 5 elements but the Lady who deals with the dark arts controls the 6th and the rarest element, the darkness element. It is the element of the demons. The number of humans who could control and master this element can be counted with one hand. Many cultivators were tempted to try it as the powers the dark element can grant is said to allow one to rule the world. However, most humans cannot even grasp one bit of the dark element without going crazy by corruption which is why in the current human realm, there are no dark cultivators.

The young girl stretched her body lightly as she accepted the memories of her host.

Born into one of the noblest households in the Qin kingdom, the Eldest young miss of the Duke's house. The previous king only had 2 sons before he passed away. Both his children were extremely close to each other and hence, there was no fight for the throne. The older brother ascended the dragon throne while the younger brother became Duke Qian and was given a palace near the imperial palace. The older brother had one son and one daughter while the younger brother had 2 daughters.

The current body is the eldest daughter of Duke Qian and is beloved by the masses for her talent in the arts, her kindness, and her beauty. She was the most beautiful miss in the kingdom until a few months ago, she was injured and her face was damaged. Many people pitied her as a woman lived by their face and believed that her future is dim. She had an engagement with the crown prince and they were very much in love but many believed that after this incident, the engagement will be dissolved.

Much to everyone's surprise and to someone's disappointment, the crown prince insisted on marrying his cousin and refused to dissolve the engagement. The masses praised the crown prince for his faithfulness and his reputation rose even higher. However, no one knew that it was no accident that her face was injured.

No one will suspect the younger daughter of the Duke but she knows it well. From the memories of the host, she could see the signs that the host did not see. The younger daughter had fallen in love with the crown prince from a young age but as her talent and beauty fall short of her sister, she failed to attract the crown prince's attention and her father's favor. The host was also quite dense and could not notice the malice of her dear younger sister.

"It seems like she is quite adept at poisons, which caused my current situation." the lady mused. Too bad her poison was too strong, causing the death of the eldest young miss.

"Young miss Qingli!" an elderly woman burst through the small clearing where the lady was but all she found was nothing but the trace of the metallic smell of blood.
