Chapter 59 - 59. News

The bus stopped at a star-rated hotel on the beach.

A group of people entered the hotel an d the female assistant was cleaning the ro om.

Rowan sat in a chair on the balcony. With his heels resting on a small stool and his notebook on his knees, Rowan was typing away at the inspiration and material from his copy of Taxi.

This job is not complicated and does n ot take up too much of Rowan's brain ca pacity.

Rowan still had the energy to appre ciate the beautiful scenery below in his spare time.

It's still morning.

The sunny city with spring-like weather all year round is bustling and lively.

Wide streets, tall palm trees and low bungalows.

The dappled light from the palm trees shines on the wide road, and the gentle sea breeze blows away all the prosperity of the past.

Because it is close to the Cannes Film

Festival, many tourists have gathered here.

Although Cannes was not born for movies, it became famous because of movies.

Starting at this time every year, the small town with a population of more than 70, 000 people becomes bustling with people, and there are more than 4,000 journalists a lone every year.

It was crowded and bustling.

The most lively area is the famous Promenade des Anglais in Cannes.

This place is also called Croisette Promenade, also known as the La Croisette.

With a total length of about 2 kilometers, it is the main thoroughfare in Cannes. The road is wide and clean.

The most famous hotels, restaurants and luxury stores are basically gathered he re.

The scenery along the way is very nice.

On one side is the quiet and peaceful beach bay, and on the other side is the elegant and luxurious hotel.

There is also the Palais des Festivals, as well as numerous high-end shops, restaurants, hotels, etc. along the route.

There are ancient buildings from the last century, as well as very modern buildings.

The most famous hotels, restaurants and luxury stores are all gathered here.

If you look out, you can also see the town of Saint-Paul-de-Vence in the distance.

This is a mountain town located betwe en Nice and Cannes. It is surrounded by medieval walls, but it is a sanctuary for modern art.

Picasso loved this place and Matisse also lived here.

However, what attracted Rowan the most were the many beauties gathered on the beach.

Sea, beauty and sunshine...

This was Rowan's first impression of the internationally renowned Cannes Film Festival when he came to Cannes for the first time.

Because of Sea, Sex and Sun, the Cannes Film Festival is also known as the 3S Film Festival.

Well, it's reality.

Rowan affirmed.

"These girls, like the girls in Los Angeles, gather at the Cannes Film Festival beca use they hope to be discovered by the big names and scouts in the film industry and fulfill their dreams of becoming stars."

The female assistant had packed her Iuggage and came to Rowan.

After handing Rowan the mineral water she followed her gaze to the girl below.

The shadows of the palm trees on both sides of the avenue swayed, and luxury cars drove past under the trees.

On the sea side is a beach with neatly arranged sunshade chairs, and the harbor is full of private yachts.

The girls watched this with great interrst.

Looking at all this, the female assistant said with a bewildered and pitying tone: "But I haven't heard of any famous female star being discovered here. I don't know whether to laugh at it or feel sad."

"There is nothing to laugh at or feel sad about for people who pursue their dreams."

Rowan took a sip of water and said, "Just enjoy it quietly."

The female assistant asked tentatively: "Boss, don't you want to go down and play for a while?"

"I don't have any work."

Rowan still has some interest in Cannes.

It's not that I want to win an award to prove myself.

The three major European film festivals each have their own characteristics.

The Venice International Film Festival is the world's first international film festival, focusing on art and avant-garde films; the Cannes International Film Festival has the Iargest market in Europe and focuses on films that combine commercial and art; the Berlin International Film Festival pays the most attention to politics and society.

Having said that, it's actually only slightly better than the Oscars.

The Oscars have always been known for being fair, but the competition behind it is complex and dark, and the public relations groups that have emerged are as foul-mouthed as the political public relations in Washington.

Where there are people, there will be struggles, and this is especially true in this circle of chasing fame and fortune.

Rowan does not need this kind of award proof yet.

The box office is more meaningful, at Ieast it proves that the popularity is higher and the copy is more fun.

It's just that Rowan couldn't stand Scarlett, the precocious girl who always used award nominations as a weapon.

Of course Rowan knew that the girl was joking with him, but Rowan still wanted to fight back with one.

It's fun to fight with children!

Unfortunately, there is no chance this year.

Rowan looked away and continued to work.

The female assistant advised: "Boss, the chances of finding a good script at this kind of event are very high. Many practitioners will come to Cannes, and communicating with them will also help expand your network."

Rowan paused. "That makes sense."

But just as he was getting ready to go out his phone rang and he saw that the caller was his agent Mary Acker calling.

"Hey Mary, are you calling me to inform that you have successfully sold the copyrights of my books."

"Yes do you know how much I sold out for, 140 million dollars plus 50% Royalty. Hahaha I still can't believe I did that, it's going to be a recird that will never be broken" Mary replied in an excited tone.

"What!? How did you do that?" Rowan asked as his expectation was 80 million dollars and 40% royalty.

"You told me to get as much as I can to do that I had release the news about you being the author of the two books which led to the increase in their sales topping the best sellers list in two weeks. I also sent your books to some will known authors so that they could write a review on it which helped me making my case infront of the publishing houses anyway we can celebrate when you come back till then think properly how you are going to use it and talk with Elizabeth before you decide to invest."

"Yes yes, I understand big sis thank you for you guidance" Rowan said with a chuckle.

After talking for another minute they cut the call as both of them were still busy with work.

"Congratulation boss" Emma the female assistant said

"Thanks Emma, now let's go and see if there is any work worthy of my investment"

Leonhard chang ed into a loose beach suit, put on sunglass es for a simple camouflage, and went out c asually.

As soon as he opened the door, Leonh ard saw Marion Cotillard outside and was a bout to raise her hand to knock on the doo

Γ.

Leonhard: "Marion?"

Marion Cotillard put her hand down an d asked casually, "I wanted to ask if you wa nted to go shopping."

"Sorry, Marion I have something to do right now, but how about tonight we can have dinner in my room as a thank you for helping me so much while shooting the movie."

Rowan said while he politely declined her offer.

He could sense that Marion Cotillard was getting into the role.

This movie doesn't have much emotio nal content and is a little short of a level thr ee rating, but Leonhard's acting is outstand ing.

The feelings for Lily, plus the actor skil Is taught by Mr. Anthony Hopkins.

Of course, the most important thing is his handsome face.

The final effect is at the fission level.

Marion Cotillard, who was acting oppo site her, couldn't handle it.

And although Rowan do want to find the difference between her and Lily now was not the time, today he will walk around and try his luck if nothing comes out of it than he will just enjoy the night with Marion.

"Oh, I didn't help you much on the contrary you helped me a lot. Thank you I will be there for the dinner."
