He nodded and accepted the request. The fox hunting ground was on the way to that of the bears. Not to mention that he still wasn't confident in facing a bear and was likely to have to resort to hunting foxes once more.
[Quest accepted.]
[Intimacy with Pelun has increased.]
"Thank you!"
"See you next time!"
Myeonghu exited the store and headed to the Butcher across the street. Walking inside he went straight to Teren's counter and took out all of Fox and Large Fox meat from his inventory.
"Oh, Fox meat!"
Teren immediately set to evaluating and weighing the meat.
"1 gold and 20 silvers."
'… It's less?'
Although 1 gold and 20 silvers was still and impressive sum, he was still slightly disappointed since it was lower than the last time.
"Ok, thanks."
Still, he couldn't simply leave the meat in his inventory as it would take up space, so he accepted the deal and left straight away to the Guild.
"Com on in, Warrior!"
Unlike the last time the man was wide awake and gave Myeonghu a warm greeting.
"Can I see if there are any new skills I can learn?"
"Sure, give me a minute… here you are."
[Skill Book: Slash]
"Is this the only one?"
The man replied with a nod of his head.
"It'll be 15 silvers."
Handing over the money, Myeonghu purchased the new skill.
Slash
Level: 1
Mastery: 0%
A strong strike.
Effects: 200% Damage
Mana Consumption: 150
'It's even better than Power Strike.'
Although the mana consumption was on the high end, it's damage was also higher. Still, he naturally couldn't simply spam the skill since his Wisdom and Intelligence stats were quite low and without any boosts from MP related items, his Mana pool was too small.
"Come again some time!"
Leaving the Guild behind he headed to the weapons store to take a look.
"…"
Tilto was his usual serious self as he exuded a sharp aura, simply acknowledging Myeonghu's arrival with a nod. He proceeded to take a look at the displayed equipments on the shelves.
Restrictions: Strength 80, Stamina 50
Physical Attack: 60 ~ 65
Attack Speed: +10%
A club made out of iron. It's filled with the craftsman's passion to beat down hard.
Restrictions: Strength 120, Stamina 80
Physical Attack: 90 ~ 100
Attack Speed: -20%
A broadsword that has been enchanted with the Ice attribute, resulting in a cold chill.
"…"
He was left speechless after seeing the item requirements. Although his Strength was more than sufficient, his Stamina was too lacking. SInce he had invested all of his Bonus Stats into Strength, he couldn't wield any stronger weapon than his current Solid Iron Sword.
"I guess I can't do much about my weapon for now."
Although that was the case for weapons, he could still take a look at defensive equips.
Restrictions: Strength 40, Stamina 15
Physical Defense: 50
Leather Armor made out of Wolf Pelt and has passed through a competent craftsman's hands, it is reasonably durable.
Restrictions: Strength 20, Agility 10, Stamina 15
Physical Defense: 15
Agility: +10
Leather Shoes that have been enchanted with the Wind attribute, making you feel lighter on your feet.
Although it was tight, he just barely satisfied the requirements for these items. The Wolf armor's Defense was 30 points higher than his equip, and although the boots only had modest Defense increases, the added Agility was quite nice.
"Excuse me, how much for these?"
Myeonghu asked Tilto as he pointed to the Wolf's Leather Armor and the Boots of Swiftness.
"The armor is 80 silvers and the boots go or 1 gold and 30 silvers. If you were to buy them both I can give you a discount and part with them for 2 gold.
"…"
Hearing Tilto's reply, Myeonghu took a look at how much money he currently had. After selling off his recent loot he had around 4 gold.
'What to do….'
Even if he had sufficient funds to purchase them, it would put a considerable dent in his wealth. Although they gave decent attribute bonuses, He already had an okay armor and his next Quest reward would be a pair of shoes.
'But those attributes… it would be hard to hunt the Bears with my current ability.'
In the end the item attributes were to tantalizing to ignore. Not to mention that a Quest reward was something only obtained upon completion of the quest. In the first place if he didn't have the ability to finish the quest then it held no value.
"Heuu…"
Letting out a sigh, he placed the armor and boots back on the shelf and turned to a pair of gloves.
"Hmm…"
Tilto let out a imperceptible groan as Myeonghu placed the items back and asked the price for the pair of gloves.
"1 gold and 50 silvers for those Earthen Gloves."
Hearing the quoted price, Myeonghu returned back to the equipment shelf and Tilto couldn't help but let out another grunt in disappointment. However, contrary to his expectations Myeonghu returned to the counter with all three items.
"Wha…?"
"Before you mentioned that I'd get a 10 silver discount if I bought two of them, so how much of a discount can I get for purchasing all three?"
"…!"
It was only at that moment that Tilto realised that he had been duped. He looked up at Myeonghu who sported a crooked smile.
"3 gold and 35 silvers… I can let it go for 3 gold and 35 silvers."
"Great, thanks!"
Myeonghu had a satisfied expression as he handed over the coins. Immediately equipping the items, he then stepped outside the store.

After confirming his new items, he opened up his Status page to have a look.
Name: Myeonghu
Nationality: Helioka [Empire]
Age: 22
Class: Warrior
Level: 11
HP: 3870
MP: 420
Strength: 156(+25) Agility: 22(+10) Stamina: 15 Intelligence: 10 Wisdom: 11
Bonus Stats: 0
Compared to before, his stats had increased significantly.
"My Health and Defense should be high enough now…"
It was about time to challenge those pesky Bears.
"Gallbladders, here I come!"
Plop!
"Ha!"
Myeonghu let out an exasperated victory cry as the Brown Bear collapsed before him. He had finally succeeded in hunting a bear.
"It wasn't easy, but…."
Even after his stats had undergone such improvements, hunting Bears was still harder than expected. He realized that although his Health and Defense were much higher, Bears still dished out plenty of damage since his Health was just barely over 1000.
"If I had to fight two of them at the same time…."
Simply facing a single Bear had wiped out 3000 of his hit points, if he were to try and fight two at the same time, he would crumble immediately since they'd have twice the DPS.
"At least I can now hunt them."
-Brown Bear Pelt has been acquired.
-Bear Gallbladder had been acquired.
Myeonghu bent down to pick up and place the items in his inventory.
"That's a pretty good start."
He couldn't help but exclaim as he saw the Quest Item, Bear Gallbladder sitting in his inventory. It was completely different from the situations with the Rabbits in which he had to hunt an average of 30 of them before dropping the required Rabbit liver.
"Let's go!"
After having rested and recovered his Health, he jumped up energetically, looking for some Bears. Shortly after, he spotted one sleeping in the distance.
Picking up his pace he swiftly arrived before the Bear with his sword held high, ready to strike.
Crack!
"…!"
Having stepped on a dry branch, the sound startled the bear awake. They locked eyes and Myeonghu froze as the Bear looked at him with his sword held high in the air, its glare turning aggressive.
Kuoong!
With a thundering roar, the Bear stood up and hit Myeonghu with a Body Slam, sending him flying through the air.
"Ugh!"
'Just what happened!'
