When the snake warrior made his first move, Naruto was already at his throat, ripping it out and severing the head. Sasuke didn't waste any time and disabled the other warrior with his shurikens. The golden fox wasted no time and tried to kill the warrior but had to make a turn back to get Sasuke out of the way.
The Uchiha didn't know what was happening when he was tackled by his lover until an explosion happened behind Naruto. The golden fox didn't bother suppressing his powers. Usually, Naruto kept his tails and ears hidden with a transformation spell but now, Sasuke was able to see the full hybrid form. It was something rare for the Uchiha and he was slightly mesmerised by how beautifully lethal his husband looked in the moment.
Naruto had his fangs bared and growled menacingly at the mage standing on top of the cage. His fluffy golden furred tails were now covered in foxfire and his eyes turned red. The scar markings on his cheek made him look savage. Sasuke was shaken at the display of bloodlust pouring out from Naruto. He felt afraid but also thrilled at the same time when something within him resonated with that animalistic rage. With Naruto beside him, there was no space for fear or doubt.
Kabuto clicked his tongue in annoyance. The foxes were more troublesome than he initially thought they would be. Sasuke was clearly trained in combat even if it was only for a short while. the mage didn't expect any of the goons to make it back alive but to have lost one and the other injured so quickly, it was a miscalculation on his part. Lord Danzo would not be pleased to know if he failed his mission. It looks like he would have to step in personally to resolve the issue at hand.
When Kabuto entered the array, Sasuke smirked. The mage frowned at that and was about to launch a strike of his own when the unthinkable happened.
Naruto used that confusion to get the warrior lying above them and Sasuke fell into sync to finish off the injured warrior with a kunai to the throat while Kabuto's screams became the background music to their grand finale. Tsunade's trap activated and the snake mage didn't have a chance to retaliate.
Kabuto put up a decent struggle while his mana was being drained to exhaustion. The two foxes stood away from the activated seal and watched as Kabuto lost his vigour. Kabuto was a ghastly pale person but with the mana drain spell, he rapidly withered away and turned gnarly. Sasuke felt his lunch coming back up and Naruto cringed when the mage turned into dust. The wind blew the Kabuto dust away while Naruto got rid of the snake demon corpses by burning them with his foxfire.
Sasuke excused himself to rush to the nearest toilet or bush if he couldn't make it. Fighting just wasn't really his thing.

Kurama grinned. To be able to force the slippery snake out of hiding to get rid of him personally, it made his pride swell. Danzo was known to use others as puppets while pulling on their strings from the shadow to accomplish his dirty deeds. His throne was secured on top of a mountain of bodies with nobody truly daring to oppose him. On the front, Danzo put on a kind fatherly face but everyone knew that he was a black-hearted ruler who thought of everyone like a disposable tool.
The Hunter wasn't doing very well. Because nobody had any information prior to this confrontation about Danzo's fighting abilities and magic, Kurama could only rely on his abilities and years of experience. Danzo kept pulling out tricks from nowhere and if it weren't for Kurama's sharp instincts or fast reflexes, he would have died about ten minutes ago.
The older fox demon clutched onto his arm. There was a deep gash there and blood dripped onto the floor constantly. In addition to the physical injuries, the Hunter was battling against doubling vision and burning fever. Danzo definitely didn't go easy on the poison. Kurama didn't know if the poison was lethal enough to kill him but right now, he had other worries.
"Did you think it would be so simple? I didn't plan for this day for hundreds of years. It didn't matter who was the fox clan's leader, I will eliminate all foxes."
Kurama laughed weakly as cold sweat soaked through his clothes. He couldn't even muster the strength to stand upright with the poison taking over his system.
Danzo didn't allow the opportunity to pass so easily and unsheathed his sword. The snake lord was slightly irritated that Kurama could still defend against his all-out strike. This was one tough fox to kill and he was actually secretly glad that Kakashi wasn't here. It wasn't easy to separate Kurama from the rest and it would have been better if the Uchiha CEO was here. Danzo could really use a hostage right now. Exactly what were his goons doing? He got them to kidnap the CEO about half an hour ago!
The snake demon felt his connection with Kabuto break and was shocked. Exactly who was it who took his right-hand man out? Was it Tsunade? Did that bastard Orochimaru fail? Thinking about it made Danzo angrier and that anger made him stronger.
Kurama heard his wrist crack at a mercilessly hard strike. The sword flew out of his remaining good arm with a broken wrist now and the Hunter jumped backwards to put distance between them. Danzo didn't waste the chance he saw and leapt into the air, preparing to bring his blade down onto Kurama when a blast of lightning hit him.
Tsunade looked weak but much better than she did before. The trap that drained Kabuto of mana was used to replenish her depleted supply. Although the mage wasn't able to fight now, she was still able to provide some assistance as Kakashi swapped with Kurama to take Danzo on. Tsunade healed Kurama's broken wrist and closed the major wounds. Although the Hunter was still fighting poison and blood loss, he was in no immediate danger of dying.
Danzo didn't need more than two seconds to figure out how terrible a situation he was in. If Kakashi and Tsunade were here, Orochimaru must have failed. Kabuto was dead so that meant the two inexperienced foxes were on their way. Even if his goons appeared with Itachi now, there would hardly be a point.
He fiddled with the device hidden in his sleeve and looked at the three present. The choice was obvious and even if it cost him his life, Danzo would ensure that the fox clan was disabled. Who cared about that dumb golden fox? Without the support of this Hunter, the elders and other clans will rip him apart.
Tsunade couldn't react fast enough to Danzo's sudden attack and Kurama pushed her away, taking a direct hit. Kakashi could only watch horror as his old comrade was sealed away with the forbidden seal slammed into him.
Naruto and Sasuke arrived just in time to witness Danzo sealing Kurama.
"No!" the golden fox yelled and tried to pull Kurama back from the shinigami but he was too late. The god of death had already taken Kurama's soul captive.
Once the Hunter was gone, everyone turned their focus on Danzo who looked extremely pleased with himself.
