Chapter 84 - Again?

Gordan spent quite a while working on a small house for himself which was similar to the one which had been burned down by the stupid idiot who had taken over the rule of the Gold kingdom. He had decided to only conjure up the materials since in his current moody behavior he didn't know what he would end up with if he just left the work to his imagination. Instead he wanted something simple which he could properly form. Ever since the seal had been lifted from him he had felt odd sensations which he was not all that used to but he had been able to deal with them, albeit in a rather brutish way. But now that time had passed he could feel his emotions start to bloom out of himself. The work helped him to pass the time as he waited for the stupid system to get through with whatever it was attempting.

-Warning!!! The creator of the system has taken notice of the systems actions and has joined in on the adding as well-

Gordan stopped fixing the floor board in place and looked up at the red letters which had appeared in front of his face. A frown began to spread over his face as he read the notes which were being constantly updated and changed, to the point were he was having a hard time keeping up with all of the information.

*ping- You have one new message.*

The steady stream of information suddenly stopped flowing and instead there was a message on the screen in front of him. He clicked on the message in front of him out of curiosity.

[Hi there! I am the creator of this fine system. I can't say that I know how you are able to access this version since it hasn't been released yet, but this could be interesting for me so you don't have to worry about your account being terminated. Well that and I may have kind of added on my own modifications becouse it intreaged me so much, and I might have gone a bit over board, but that is neither here nor there. Most of the modifications which I have added are more passive so you shouldn't be affected by them for the most part. So I guess we can call it fairly even, anyway to get to my point here I was wondering if you could help me as a bit of a correspondent. I know this might sound a bit out of the blue, but I have been working on this system all by myself and things have been going rather slowly and I have no way of knowing how the changes to the system are beneficial to the players of the game which will be staring in five years. All you would have to do would be to contact me with your thoughts on what ever changes are made to the system, and I wouldn't be above any tips for improvement that you might have. This is my first time working on such a big project so I would be happy for any help which you can give to me. I eagerly await your reply, the designer.]

Gordan slowly read the letter several times wondering how exactly he was supposed to respond to such a random letter when he noticed a small red button in the corner of the screen which said [Reply] He clicked the button and the alphabet appeared at the base of a black screen. In the patch notes he had learned that this feature was something called a keyboard, it was apparently used to make writing faster but he had not had much of a chance to inspect the various features of the system since he had been a bit busy since he had gotten it. With the addition of his emotions it had only made thing more difficult for him to actually categorize his thoughts properly, and even if he had, it wasn't like he had anyone to contact up to this point since he was the only player in the system, still he most likely could have written things down in order to preserve the information in his head so that he could read it in a collective form. Even though he now had the means to respond to the letter, he still wasn't completely sure how to respond to it, becouse he was unsure if his actions could end up incriminating the one who had saved his life in return for being his piece in the game. However not replying to the maker of the system might cause even more trouble since he could end up with all kinds of nasty mutations whenever that stupid system decided to do more experiments on him. Gordan ran his hands through his hair in frustration and then sighed in defeat. He hadn't been sighing as much of late now that his emotions had returned, but it really helped him to let out his exasperation of the situations which he was in. He slowly lifted up his fingers and began to type out his reply to the designer of the system.

[The Designer,

Don't worry about the extra mutations, it was an inevitable effect which would have occured with or without you since the system also seemed quite interested in it as a pass time. As to how I was entered into the system, I am not quite sure of all of the details, thank you for being considerate of my situation. I would be happy to help you with your work of it is at all possible, but as I am still unused to this technology I am afraid I won't be much of a help. Best of luck on the project, and remember not to overwork yourself, I may not know much about the topic but I assume that you are allowed some breaks in order to not overwork yourselves as you do have five years left and have already made quite a bit of progress as is. Gordan]

After he read over the letter several times to check for any errors he clicked the send button on the bottom of the screen and turned back to the unfinished building in front of him.

"Yo, what have you been doing over there in the corner for the last half hour?"

The figure hadn't interrupted since Gordan looked like he was concentrating on something important, but now that his attention was not engaged he decided to ask what had happened.

" it wasn't anything that you need to be concerned about, but we had better finish this soon since it seems I will be waking back up again."

The figure raised his hands up in surrender and then handed Gordan the board which he had set down earlier when he had first received the messages. Whatever had happened wasn't something that he would have to worry about...Most likely, but he was still curious about what it could be. Ever since Gordan had met that stranger at the execution he had been different than before, and it all seemed to have something to do with a strange game which was going on. But every time Gordan discussed it with someone it was like the figure was cut off completely which was most concerning.

"Well this is annoying, but I guess we can finish this at a later time."

Gordan could feel his eyes start to droop once more and he set down another plank which he had been about to hammer into place. They had finished the skeleton of the building, as well as most of the floor, Gordan had a frown on his face as he quickly made a cover for the building to prevent all of his work going to waste if it rained while he was not in his mind. Once he had finished with that he let himself fall asleep.
