When Gordan opened his eyes he was back under water once more and he instantly began swimming toward the location where the ships would inevitably go to attack the village of people. It was already the dead of night when he woke so he had no time to wonder about a place to sleep after the job was completed.
As he was swimming he noticed that his speed had increased quite a bit, and that his body was feeling abit odd, which made him make a mental note to inspect for any changes when he reached the location which he was aiming for. He couldn't help but yawn since he still felt like his body needed a bit more sleep before he could focus fully on dealing with the other situation which he still had to deal with in order to prevent anymore attacks on the village from hired pirates.
When he reached the desired location he swam to the floor of the ocean and began to draw a spell into the earth which then began to glow slightly. Once he had finished, he moved down a chain hand began to inscribe more magic circles into the ground until they formed a large circle which surrounded a current which the pirates had to use to get to the village. Once the circle was completed Gordan swam away from the area as fast as he could, and all of the creatures which were in that area did the same as the circle began to shine brightly. Gordan watched as the water in the area began to pulse and boil and then slowly began to settle.
Satisfied with his work Gordan swam to the surface and pulled himself onto the beach where he lay clutching his skull which felt as though it was starting to split. He could feel something warm fill the inside of his mouth and he began to spit out small puddles of darkly colored blood which burned the ground which it touched instantly turning the sand black. Gordan lay their breathing slowly while he waited for the pain to subside enough so that he could function properly. But he knew that he could afford to use his time in this way since he still had several hours before he would have to head out and deal with the second part of his job, getting rid of the nobles responsible for the event in the first place.
Eventually he felt his headache began to die down so he sat up and once again dove back into the ocean to reach his next destination. During his time on land he had been able to see some of the appearance based changes which had been applied to him. His claws had become closer to a human hand in appearance, but they had also become more deadly, he also felt like his muscles had been toned down to a fine point which was so defined that it looked a bit unnatural. His skin had somehow simultaneously become thicker and smoother which was a strange feeling, and his sences were now the the point where he could almost see the circle at the bottom of the ocean, and hear the people in the village. The most troubling part of the enhancement of his sences however was his sence of smell which was instantly overwhelmed with all of the different orders of the entire area which made him almost nauseous. He had quickly made his way back into the water in order to get away from the overwhelming stench.
Gordan was emediatly relieved that the scent was finally gone, but even under the water he was able to smell things that annoyed him which was a bit of a nuisance but not nearly as bad as before. Gordan swam deeper down into the water until he was almost at the bottom again, and he began swimming as quickly as he could over to the other shore since he had no desire to make his headache any worse than it had been. It disappointed him that the headaches were hurting him so much since they had been getting better, but he assumed that it could have something to do with the instability of his body because of the constant mutations which his body had been going through. The more he thought of that the more terrifying it became, the system and designer had been able to change him so much on a genetic level with such ease, and with so little time, it was really a terrifying thought. Gordan had always been rather powerfull but such things were out of his field of experience, which made him wonder just how powerful the people must be in order to do something like that for no other reason other than to use up some time and relive boredom. He thought of when the shadow figure had healed his skin over when they had first met, when it had happened there had been no time involved in the healing prosses, and that was crazy for him since even for him it took some time for the effects to kick in. It made him wonder just what in the world these individuals were that the only way that they could find enjoyment was having other individuals fight in some strange game, though it had crossed his mind that they viewed it in a similar light as those people who watch animals fight each other over a scrap of meat in an arena. And viewing things in that light made things seem a lot clearer to him than before.
As he was thinking he noticed a ship which was poised between several gagged rocks at the bottom of the sea. He knew that he needed to move on with his mission, but there was something about the vesicle which seemed to draw him into the point were he found himself unconsciously moving tward it while he was swimming. Finally he decided just to see what was drawing him in and get it over with, since he wasn't getting anywhere with the way things were at the moment.
The ship looked like it had been quite grand in its day, but now it was only a wreck at the bottom of the ocean, rotting away with the passage of time. As he approached the dilapidated vessel he noticed that there were skeletons of people who had seemingly tried to swim away from the wreckage, but had been restrained by chains attached to their ankles. The thing that bothered him was that there were skeletons of both humans and monsters who seemed to have tried to help each other out of the dead ship. Even under water he could almost hear their cries of frustration and fear as their lives had been slowly ripped from them by the crushing waters. It was a sad sight of a graveyard full of restless souls, which were the kind that Gordan was most familiar with.
Long ago a scholar had theorized on the idea of the soul. There own soul had been gradually tainted by the continued use of forbidden magics until he was left with an almost completely blackened soul, after which he was able to resonate with the souls of the departed who were at unrest. The idea was that the condition of the soild will effect which souls are attracted to the individual, be they pure or stained. Those souls which were corrupted, or more commonly called, stained, were usually vengeful spirits which were very dangerous things to be around. Gordan had the feeling once he saw the skeletons that this most likely had something to do with a vengeful soul who had been drawing him in because of their conection.
When he got about ten feet away from the closest skeleton a blue light began to flicker inside of its hollow eyes. The skeleton let out a scream as soon as it saw him which emediatly made the other chained figures begin to look around for the seeming intruder.
