The monster in front of them groggily opened his eyes and looked around the area trying to let his eyes get used to the suprising amount of light that was in the cave with him. When he had first entered it had been pitch black, and seemed to be a good place to hide and recover his injuries. And then he had lost consciousness holding on to the message stone hoping that by some miracle he would survive in order to deliver the message. When he looked and saw that he was still alive he inspected the place where his injury had been and found that it had been closed over. Looking up he saw that the creatures in front of him were letting off dark auras which felt incredibly threatening to him, the cat creature wasn't so much, but the large one was filled to the brim with power which he seemed to be suppressing to some degree, was threatening to swallow him whole. He could only see the creatures outline becouse of the overwhelming power coursing through it, other than the creatures dark figure he could see his eyes, glowing in the darkness.
"Well then, looks like our job is finished here. You had better deliver your message and get that wound treated properly."
Gordan with the cat creature in his hand turned around and walked out of the cave without another word. The injured person gripped the letter even tighter and swallowed as he watched the two of them exit the area without even bothering with the waterfall. It was almost like they hadn't been there in the first place. After sitting there for several more minutes the messenger stood up and walked to the entrance of the cave and was able to slowly make his way out by hugging the wall to avoid the waterfall. When he finally came out from behind the water he began on his journey again. He didn't see any traces of anyone having come through the area other than him, which made him wonder if he had seen some type of ghost or illusion. He shook his head and headed tward the former General who was living on the coast to avoid all of the hastle of life with politics, the messenger would have to ask the General if he would know about anyone in the area who would be like the creature which he had seen, but for now he would have to just wait for his curiosity to be satisfied.
Gordan walked away after making sure that the person made it away from the waterfall without any problem. The message stone was in a design that Gordan knew, and it was the preferred method of communication of a certain general, who had been granted the title of the General of Monsters. He had been a formidable appoint during the war, and Gordan had really enjoyed dealing with him every time. The message seemed to be rather important for him so he helped the person in regards to that fact. The cat creatures meow made Gordans attention switch back to collecting herbs and spices which would be useful for his food. Once he was satisfied with the amount that he had collected he put them into the strange 'screen' while he looked toward the shore line for some meat to go with his herbs and spices. He found a suitable prey and he felt the corners of his mouth begin to curl up. He almost felt like since he had mutated like this he was getting a bit animalistic. He decided that it wouldn't be to bad as long as he was carefull about not doing anything too reckless. He set down the cat creature and crouched down and got ready to strike at the unsuspecting creature in front of him.
The former general Falcon was sitting in his favorite chair sipping on his favorite tea, in his favorite corner of his garden. Suddenly he felt an ominous feeling that made him spit out the tea that he was drinking and look tward the forest beyond his garden. It was the feeling of a wild animal that was letting lose on a creature which had no hope of escape. The odd thing was, it was also a slightly familiar presence that was mixed with a very unfamiliar one. It was curious and he wondered what in the world it was doing here. The presence continued to be present for several minutes before it suddenly disappeared along with a large amount of life. Falcon set down his tea and stood up, the situation was getting worrisome to him. If there was some kind of creature that was here to cause trouble on the mainland than he should get rid of it before the king became aware of it and sent people out to his location for further information. Which would just end up being another reason for them to try and bring him back to the capital. The king and all of his advisors had been against Falcon retiring in the first place. he didn't need to give them any more reason to bring him back. He spread his wings and was just about to take off when there was a knock at his door. He folded his wings and found a messenger Breathing heavily holding out a stone with a message written in the old code which he was accustomed to using.
"This message is for you."
As Falcon read the message the messenger sat down on the ground to rest up. He was amazed by the former general's statute as he towered over most people by an incredible margin, he had wings which resembles a bird of prey out of his back, his eyes were yellow and resembled snakes, while his hands were clawed and his teeth razor sharp, his hair was a deep red, and the messenger marveled at his overall appearance. Usually the falcon race was an average at best when it came to power but the former general was rumored to be part hydra which accounted for his rather massive structure and over all resilience. When he realised that he had been staring he looked away before the former General had any time to notice him. But soon he heard the general sigh in annoyance, and watched as the former general etched some lines into the side of the stone and handed it back to the messenger.
"When you are able to deliver that back to the king as my response, but don't worry you won't have any trouble becouse of it. Anyway I have to go deal with something that suddenly came up."
Falcon started to walk to the door when the messenger suddenly grabbed his arm lightly.
"Sorry sir, but I had a question for you. Do you know of any beasts that are shrouded in darkness, highly intelligent, and traveling with some sort of cat creature?"
Falcon looked at him and turned his head slightly to the side.
"Sorry, haven't heard of the creature before. Why, was it the one to give you that injury?"
The messenger shook his head and looked down disappointed.
"That creature healed me enough that I could make it here, but it felt dangerous so I wondered if you knew anything about it."
Falcon shook his head and turned back to the door.
"Well, if there is nothing else, I guess I had better head out. Make sure you don't leave until you are feeling well enough."
When he was out of the door, he spread his wings once more, and took off in the direction were the presence had last been.
