Liam was just about to complete the patrol around his pack land, before heading in. The day was about to end and Destine his beta would be able to get back to his shift. As Alpha, Liam shouldn't have to patrol the land. He had other responsibilities and conflicts to resolve within the pack, but even then Liam didn't want to put the task on someone else.
He could understand Destin's need to stay by his mate, as it was the day the moon Goddess Selena blessed them with their first pup. As Liam walked through a dense part of the land, he began to feel his wolf whining at him, begging to be let loose.
The Wolf wanted to roam his territory, to hunt and most importantly to play. My wolf loved to play, and there was little to be done about Alfa's (alpha) whining. He wanted to come out and until Liam agreed to the changed, there was no stopping the mood his wolf was in.
Liam closed his eyes and let the wolf take control, there was nothing he could do but wait it out. Liam loved the feeling of the change. For most people it was a painful experience, But for him, it was empowering.
He loved the thrill of it, To Liam there's nothing better that the sounds, and smells of the forest. As alfa's senses kick in and his human half is pushed to the sideline's. Liam could feel his bones shifting, breaking and then mending itself once again.
Soon his vision was narrow to the ground, and four paws look the place of his hands and legs. Alfa has a great sense of smell, vision, and hearing. So it didn't take long for him to pick up a shift in his territory.
Their first instinct was to hunt down the trespasser and kill the prey that trespassed on their land. however, as the wind shifted, and an intoxicating scent reached Liam. He lost control of his wolf who took off in a run through the trees following the scent of the intruder. No longer did Alfa want to hunt his prey, instead the wolf was more eager to meet the new guest in his territory.
When Liam regained control of Alfa, He stopped at the sight in front of him. From where Liam stood facing the clearing, he could see a woman. she was wearing a leather jacket and jean's that could make any man fall to his knee's and beg, Her raven hair blowing in the slight breeze of the forest as she gazed at the scenery of the lake and the setting sun. Without knowing it Liam moved forward and stepped on a twig.
He cursed at his lack of concentration and looked up just in time to see her turn around. As Liam gazed at the beauty before him, he could feel his mouth go dry, and he was unable to move. She had skin that resembled a porcelain doll flawless, full lips, and eyes so blue that they seemed to glow in the light of the setting sun.
Letting his senses take over Liam took another whiff of the air and was shocked when he was unable to identify her. She isn't Human, Faerie, Wolf, or even a vampire that he was certain about, least he thought it was. All Liam knew was that she was different.
And she was saying something, Liam faintly heard a possessive growl that He believed came from him. There was a pause... and then she repeated her question..."WHO IS THERE? "SHOW YOURSELF," she said. This time, the growl that emitted from within Liam was not directed at himself but at her. "WHO WAS "SHE TO ORDER ME IN MY OWN TERRITORY" He thought. And somewhere within him, the wolf answered for his question for him, MATE!
