Emil took steps leisurely as he smiled coldly at her. He stood before her, at the edge of the bed and gazed fixedly at her. " I know my body well. And it doesn't react to the likes of you !" he snide at her.
Louisa opened her mouth to retort back, but couldn't find the right words to say. In the end, she closed her mouth and gazed down.
"What? Cat got your tongue? Who did you bribe to get into my room? The manager? Or a staff member?" he spoke while peering intimidatingly at her face.
Louisa clenched tightly onto the blanket while biting on her lower lip. She couldn't help feeling a shiver run down her spine. She kept mum, refusing to say a word.
"Though nothing happened, I will still pay you for warming, ---No ! for tainting my bed." his said word for word. His every word crushing her pride as a woman.
With these words, he strode out. Louisa stared at the closed door and bit harder on her lip. She raised a hand and wipe the betraying tears that threatened to fall out.
"Taunt me all you want today. Because tomorrow will be my turn to !" She exclaimed in a whisper with her face paled in anger.
Her mind suddenly went back to how and what she did just to get his room number and also mix sleeping pills in his drinks. She had begged on her knees to the manager. And even exchanged her body just for all that !.
Yes, Emil had been right about one thing. Nothing happened between them. He was already in deep slumber when she came inside the room. The pills she mixed in his drinks was very effective and strong. So he slept through the night like a log !.
Meanwhile in a certain university oversees, Yvonne woke up feeling restless. She felt her heart beat from time to time. Sandra saw her dazed look and inquired if she wasn't feeling well.
" Am fine. Its just that ...I feel like something bad is about to happen. I don't understand the feeling very well, but I feel restless, fear, and ..and...' she trailed off not knowing what to say to describe how she felt.
Sandra closed in on her and placed her palm on her forehead. " But your temperature seems normal" she said.
" Do you think something is wrong with Emil?" Yvonne stared hopeful at her friend as she asked.
Sandra gazed at her hopeful eyes and couldn't help but smile, "Of course he's fine. Nothing can go wrong with him. ---- But to feel at ease, ..." she picked up Yvonne's phone which lied beside her pillow, " here call him " she placed the phone in her hand.
"Yeah I should probably call him" Yvonne agreed with a nod.
"The person you're trying reach, cannot be reach at the moment. Please leave a message" A woman's voice was heard over the phone on countless times Yvonne called Emil's number.
"Still not reachable?" Sandra inquired
"Yeah, all my calls are directed to voicemail." Yvonne replied while tossing her phone from one hand to the other.
" Try calling his brother or someone close to him" Sandra offered an idea.
Seconds later, after she had thought it through, Yvonne spoke. "No, I will call again sometime. Daniel might probably be busy".
On the other, Daniel had just parked his car in the hotel's garage than he saw a silhouette that he couldn't be more familiar with walking to the garage in quick steps. His whole being was silently screening coldness.
He stayed still in his car as he watch Emil leave in his car. Sometime later, he started his car and followed the car from earlier at a distance.
Emil drove at a lighting speed to the office. He didn't want to go home just yet. And especially not now that he felt dirty !.
' Could his mother be part of this plot? If not, how else was that girl able to find him?'
Emil switched on his phone when he entered his office room. He saw bunch of missed calls from different numbers.
Ten missed calls was from his father, from last night. Daniel had also called him sixteen times. Some of his calls were from couple of minutes ago. He had receive two missed calls from his assistant. And one most important person's missed calls made his heart beat in fear.
He stared at Yvonne's calls with guilt. He knew nothing happened between him and Louisa, but still he couldn't help feeling shameful. He wished he hadn't made that haste choice to drink his sorrows away.
Because truth is, after leaving the hotel, all the happenings from yesterday kept flowing back to him. His Mummy's illness was still present even after foolishly getting himself drunk last night.
He went to his phone's message box, typed some words and pressed send. After sending the message, he placed the phone on his work table and entered his restroom.
Yvonne had just stepped out of the bathroom when her phone beeped. She quickened her steps to her bed and picked up her phone. Her heart skipped a beat out of anxiousness when she saw the name of the messenger.
"Mmm, see how you're smiling from ear to ear. Can we now concentrate on studying?" Sandra teased and threw a pillow at Yvonne.
"... But I still feel something is wrong" Yvonne softly said. It was more like a whisper.
