After the little drama, the party continued as if nothing had happened. Emil came back after accompanying his parents and grandpa home.
The emcee said some meaningful jokes which earned busts of laughter from the people. The room regained its joyous atmosphere.
Daniel sang three different songs. But the song that left questions in everyone's mind was his third song. The song was quite unique, as if it was a dedication to someone very special.
' I wish you ....' , was the title of his last song for the night.

Of all his performance that evening, 'I wish you...' was the one he sang unknowingly with emotions.
" Who's that lucky girl ?"
" Who's that special person ?"
These two questions were the topic for discussion the next morning in the entertainment news.
The people ate,drunk, danced and made connections with themselves. The less influential ones one way or the other befriended the ones with more influence.
Reporters got most of their questions answered, except the more personal ones.
" Where were you for the past two years ?"
" I had some issues that needed my urgent attention" Daniel replied simply not wanting to dive deeper.
" So when should your fans expect your next release ?"
" Very soon"
....
" Why are you pulling me ?" Lina looked suspectedly at the guy holding her wrist " And where to ?"
" Shhh ! Just come with me" Daniel hushed her by placing his left index finger on her slightly opened lips
Lina pressed her lips tightly and secretly smiled.
The party was still ongoing when Daniel took Lina away through the back door. Yvonne was in a corner dancing with Emil when she felt a slight striking pain in her abdomen.
She frowned and touched right below her stomach, she began panicking. She very well knew what the pain was, after all it wasn't her first time experiencing something like that.
Emil saw her actions and asked what was wrong, She just smiled and shook her head "nothing"
"Nothing?" Emil wasn't convinced. He had seen her frown and knew something was up.
" Its mean nothing serious" Yvonne said and continued after a second thought " Can you take me back to the room?"
He knitted his brows slightly while gazing at her eyes that was still beneath the mask. Seconds later, his brows relaxed and he nodded "okay"
He held her hand and took her away through the back door.
As soon as Daniel and Lina sat down in the car, she removed her mask. Daniel stretched his hand to the back seat and brought out a pair of white sneakers, he then handed them to Lina,
" Change into these" he said
Lina looked at his face before she took the sneakers from him, she then removes her high heels and wore the sneakers.
Daniel chuckled when he saw her staring askew at him, "I saw your foot size from one of your foot wears" he untangled her hair as he explained
Lina could only nod. She felt happiness flowing within and threatening to come out any moment.
" Why are you doing this ? Do you perhaps like me too ?"
She wanted to ask but couldn't bring herself to let those words out. She saw afraid of ruining whatever relationship they have.
' What if he doesn't like her ?, Won't she embarrass herself if he doesn't ? what if her questions push him away from her ?'
After he fixed her hair, he pulled away ready to drive when he noticed that her seatbelt was still not fixed. He looked at her but the girl sitting beside him was preoccupied with her own thoughts so she didn't even notice his look.
He smiled, leaned in and fixed her seatbelt. That was when Lina got startled and pulled out from her unconsciousness. She blushed and turned her head to look through the window. Her heart pounding in her chest. She searched her memory for something to say to avoid him from noticing any change.
" Where are we going? She feigned calmness
" Someplace nice, you will love it" Daniel winked at her
" Why do you want to go back to the room ? Don't you like that place?" Emil asked when they were in the elevator.
" Not that, I just... I just.." Yvonne strained, she didn't know how to tell Emil of her current condition.
" I think my period is here" She said as she closed her eyes. She felt shy.
"....Period?, what's period ?" Emil sincerely felt confuse. He didn't understand what Yvonne was trying to say.
" Yes,period." She replied and decided to explain further to avoid any more questions " You know .....the thing every girl experiences once every month"
Yvonne had her face all turned red like tomatoes by the time she finished explaining
'Period, the thing every girl, every month' Emil turned these words over and over in his mind for two minutes before the message suddenly downed on him.
Immediately he understood, his ears turned hot.
Yvonne quickly unlocked their room and entered,she then hurriedly went to the bathroom to check. True to her instinct, her underwear was lightly stained red.
She unconsciously heaved a breath ' Good thing I sensed it right away'
Suddenly after she had relaxed halfway, a major problem prevail itself.
'How will she get some sanitary pad ? Should she ask Emil to help ?'
