Somewhere in Paris, a girl in her twenties sat under a tree and stared at her phone as if there was some treasure hidden inside it.
She stared at the man on "what's love " show without blinking .It was as if the man would disappear if she blinks.
"How can she forget that face?" The face was engraved in the deepest of her heart and mind. Tears flowed down her face as memories of what happened "that day" kept flashing in her eyes.
A heavy wind blew all of a sudden and brought Yvonne out of her memory lane. Yes, she's Yvonne Qin and she's twenty -two years old.
Yvonne stood up and went back to work. She work as a waitress in a small restaurant but today is her last day at the restaurant and in fact she will be leaving Paris the day after tomorrow. She plans to go back home to country" A" because she thinks going there will help her overcome her nightmares and maybe live a happy life.
She plans to go back to where it all started !
Back in Country A ...
"Boss the information we got is a false one, she isn't the girl in the video." Assistant Luke reported to Emil.
The man stood facing the big glass window with his back to his Assistant. No one knew what was going on in his mind at that moment .Assistant Luke looked at his boss lonely and longing back and felt sad for his boss.
Who would've thought that the man who dominated Country A and many other countries and was also fearsome in the entertainment industry was lonely and very emotional !..
"Where are you?" Emil rhetorically asked.
(Achoo...Yvonne in her room sneezed, "is someone talking bad about her" she thought)
Assistant Luke hurriedly left the room. He knew his boss wanted to be alone because he could see the sadness in his eyes from the mirror reflection.
But,what he failed to see was the tears that threatened to fall from Emil's eyes.
He could never forget that face and voice..it hurt so much..!
Few days later and Yvonne was already at Country A's airport. She looked ahead and forced a smile.
She's finally home!
Emil had a business meeting to attend abroad that same day Yvonne arrived.
Yvonne was walking towards the exit when she suddenly bumped into someone. The truth is,she wasn't looking forward.
"Sorry" she bowed her head and apologized, after that,she didn't wait for the other to speak and walked on just like that.
Emil frowned when he was bumped into but his frown deepened when he heard the voice of the perpetrator.
Although,the voice has matured but he couldn't be wrong about his hearing.....
Flashback
Ten year old little Emil came with his mother to welcome his father who was coming home today at the airport.
Mrs. Tang was on the phone and Emil stood beside her .He had his guitar at his back.
All of a sudden,someone bumped into him from behind and before he could turn,the culprit said in her angelic voice "sorry".
He turned his eyes sideways and what he was made his innocent heart skip a beat.
Little Yvonne was dressed in a pink cardigan and had her backpack placed firmly at her back .She was being held by her mother Clara Qin.
Thou she was only six years old ,she had a waist length hair and had a round face and chubby cheeks.
She was very adorable but what Emil saw was beyond adorable.
He saw something no one would ever see!
Yvonne turned her head while walking further away from Emil and blew a flying kiss to Emil. He stretched his little hands and " caught " the kiss and placed his hand on his chest. He smiled at Yvonne and she in turn smiled back with her cheeks lifted ,she waved at Emil and said something. But Emil didn't hear what she said because they were miles apart.
Little Emil held his chin in his right hand and stared in the direction Yvonne went to.
"Boss,boss..." Assistant Luke called .
Emil was pulled back from his thoughts. He stared in the direction the girl went to but there was no sight of her. Disappointment flashed through his eyes.
"Is it time for the flight?" Emil asked
"Yes boss" Assistant Luke replied
Emil looked at the direction for two seconds and turned to leave ,he took large steps and left.
But what Emil didn't notice was that,the girl who bumped into him was peeking at him from afar.
And thus,another missed step at the airport....
