(Hmmm.. My entire skill set was wiped out and replaced with only these. At least I know some of them. My Stats are basically cut in half. Level 1? Then that means I get a boost. Yes!)
I did a happy dance on the forest floor as keeping the Stats but going back to level 1 would make me grow exponentially more than anyone.
(Wait what's with this Direction and Confusion ability?)
Standing there I go back to ponder over the Status Page until a thought struck me.
Seized by urgency my eyes widen and I realize where exactly I am.
(I have to run!)
In the game once any inhabitant discover that a person trespassed without permission, they would kill them no questions asked.
Even if it was I with my Stats at best I can only bring out half of my potential because of the unfamiliar skill set.
While I'm sure there would be some differences from this world and the game, I'm not too keen on figuring those out with my life in balance.
Preparing to run I crouch my legs ready to sprint until I heard a voice delicate yet firm in authority behind me.
"May I ask if you have the invitation to the Avalon Forest?"
With cold sweat flowing down my back I turn around as slowly as possible.
What appears before me is a Dryad. Breathtaking in beauty with shades of light green in hair and eyes she stares at me. Her eyes looked sleepy l, but I know it's anything but when I see the threatening vines and plants behind her.
One of the inhabitants of the forest next to the Elves, Centaurs, Fairies, and Gnomes.
As a magician and their connection to wildlife they can use vegetation to keep the enemy at bay while casting spells to hinder or defeat them. Tricky opponents if I do say so myself, of course for me I could kill her pretty easily.
If I don't mind suiciding in the most dazzling way possible. As it would incur the wrath of EVERYONE living here.
Beaming my brightest smile at her I say with gusto, "Of course!" Reaching to the air I activate my skill Item Box and my hand disappears.
Rummaging through I take a minute to grab a smoke bomb ready to instantly throw it to the ground.
"Oh. Do you not have it?" Smiling a little she looks me in the eye.
Without missing a beat I reply with my beaming smile, "Please wa-"
I throw the smoke bomb down on the ground as I say wait.
Hearing coughing I turn around.
Dashing the other way I put as much distance I could possibly have from the Druid.
(Regardless of being in a game I still have yet to figure out which era I'm in.)
The game is the best because of one thing. Era's. With such deep storylines, characters out of legends, ongoing wars and political strife which Era you are in affects everything. As a player once you log in the Era can change in a split second as an army or an assassination invades an important position making a domino effect.
With such a high degree of flexibility and action players need to be in high alert as anything goes.
A minute of running later I feel a chill down my back like someone stepping on my grave.
Weaving through the trees I hear an alarming laugh. Glancing back I see the Dryad on a vine rushing toward me.
With a smile on her face.
(Hooooooly Shit!)
To be honest the ones who can restrain their anger and exert it silently are the ones who are the scariest to face.
Calculating the distance between us I judge that she's about to catch up to me in six seconds.
About to rush back to face the Dryad I look forward to see anything as a landing pad.
Only to see a white lance stab straight at my body out of nowhere.
Surprised my mind stopped thinking.
A millisecond passes and then my passive skill activates Cold Mind and Mind Acceleration. Instantly my mind cleared up and my mind accelerated to form a plan.
Using my Item Box I grab to the across of me. Pulling out my crimson sword I pull to the right palming the back of the blade toward the lance.
In front of me I block the white lance with the flat of my blade. Rather than staying still I let myself be blown away from the lances momentum toward the Dryad chasing me.
Flying towards the Dryad I see her surprised expression and then thrusted her hand toward me.
(Pretty nice reaction time.)
Vines and branches encircle around.
(Bound Step.)
Underneath me a blue triangular platform appears, stepping on it I instantly accelerate faster escaping the encirclement.
Falling and rolling on the ground I stand up my hands shaking from the impact from the lance.
(So Bound Step takes away 15 MP that's quite a lot.)
With my indifferent expression I eye the new attacker assessing the situation.
(A Centaur, The knight of the nature race.)
Half man upper body and a lower body of a horse they are the perfect calvary. Since a man and horse needs to be in sync when battling to give the most explosive power. On the other hand a centaur can just ignore these things.
Steadying himself from the blow he turns to face me holding the lance in one hand.
"Trespasser. State your business." The Centaur gives off a noble aura as he says it.
The Dryad reaches the Centaur and positions herself behind him silently glaring at me.
Warding off the gaze I focus on the situation.
(Buying time for better conditions huh. Then I can't afford to waste any more time.)
"Would you let me off if I say the truth?" I ask a question back reading his expression.
"Depending on your answer we shall happily accommodate you outside." It was the Dryad who answered back with a beaming smile at me.
Strangely I felt that smile was very similar to the smile I showed earlier on.
(Then that means if the answer was unsatisfactory they would attack.)
Confirming my suspicions I get ready to bolt with Bounce Step, but I was too late.
Hearing multiple footsteps crunching in leaves I look around sighing all the while.
Surrounding me were Elves aiming their bows at me and Gnomes with hammers at the ready.
The Dryad again, beams a beautiful smile at me.
"Now how about dropping your weapon and let yourself be tied?"
(Yeah..... She's definitely pissed about the smoke bomb. That's exactly the same smile as mine.)
Analyzing the situation I deduced that I could get out of this if I go with the intent to kill. However I won't because that would without a doubt make me an enemy which I don't want.
Making a tired expression I drop the sword with a plop and raise my hands in surrender.
Not even a day passed since coming to this world and I became a prisoner.
