Chapter 14 - C14 King's invite

Raeliana was saddened of Justin's leave. He was ordered to go to the Northern part of the empire all of a sudden. She was just getting to know him better, but was put a pause because of his duty as a knight. The empire's soldiers weren't plenty enough to send assistance, that's why they needed the help of knights. All in all, the empire has sent 15 knights along with 50 soldiers.

Yesterday, it was quite a fun but it all vanished into thin air when she learned that Justin has been deployed to a far off area. Disappointed, but she got no choice but to see him off. Raeliana focuses on writing the current happenings instead, as it would be useful for the next events. She have met the duke twice without getting scathed, so it means that the flow of the original story was changed. Now that she was no longer the villain of the story, she can start her life anew.

She was distracting herself on writing poetry and novels. It was quite a sudden when she received an invite from the king's palace. "Please come for tea and cakes. It might be absurd but I want to meet the person who saved me from the brink of death. I personally made this letter, so the words might sounds informal." Under the message was the signature of the king. She sprang from her seat and quickly went to the king's palace. She was fickle to go to the devil's lair, knowing that most of the novel's characters lived there.

"Mother, I was invited to the palace. It's urgent so I weren't able to ask permission if I could go. I'll be back in the afternoon!" Waving her hand cheerfully and went inside the carriage. Whilst her ride to the palace, lush trees passed by. Beautiful flowerscapes were seen along their ride. It was sunny day, with the sky painted in blinding blue. Raeliana was contented just the sight of the beautiful azure sky, and temporarily forgot her sadness. Half an hour has passed and she was now waiting in front of the king's quarters. The large golden doors were opened and saw the room she had scanned once more. The only thing had changed is the color of the curtain. Rest were still the same.

"It was a pleasure to be on your presence, Your Majesty." Showing her curtsy.

"Likewise, lady Mcmillan. Please settle down." Raeliana heeded his words and settled herself comfortably to a couch near the king's current seat.

"I apologize if I were happened to take some of your time. I will send further notice next time."

She swung her hands to left and right, "No Your Highness. I am glad to be invited by Your Highness." She was only sugarcoating her words although she was slightly grateful of being in the king's presence. She wanted to be sluggish just for one day, but she was suddenly summoned by the king.

"Ah, I forgot to thank you for your assistance. You have my gratitude lady Mcmillan."

The light conservation was finally done after plenty of hours. Raeliana wasn't even listening but pretends to. All she had in her mind is to go home and sleep all night. That would be wonderful, not until the harsh pouring of rain.
