She had to stay until the storm subdues. Downpour has caused a mild flooding to the palace. The withered plants were drenched, huge droplets covered the leaves. The blinding light was concealed behind the dark clouds. Raeliana had nothing to do but to watch the clouds passing by. She was offered a hot chocolate drink, and gladly accepted it. She was staying at the receiving quarters, kneading her cheeks in boredom. Raeliana was in the midst of a daydream when a soft whisper tickled her ears. She flinched and fell off from her seat. Her eyes slowly crept along the man who was standing before her.
"D-duke?!" She exclaimed. "What's he doing here?" She whispered to herself.
"I wasn't expecting a guest." Helped himself to have a sit.
"Likewise. But what are you doing here? You're supposed to be staying at your mansion."
"I had to visit my King brother to check his condition."
Raeliana's eyes were steering away from his gaze, and opened a new conversation instead. She was simply afraid of being in his presence, because of the fact that Noah was the killer of the villain Raeliana. Of all places, why they always end up meeting each other? She tried to do her very best to avoid any interactions between the novel's characters, but ended up talking with them instead. Her fate must be really twisted.
"Has something bothered you?" Noah addressed the uncertainties printed on her face.
"No. I just kept thinking how I can go home in the midst of this downpour." Expressing one of the reason why she was worried. Truthfully, she never worried how long she will wait to go home but was sweating because of the two faced duke in front of her. Poised, the duke was gracefully sipping the tea that was served awhile ago. Refined posture, slender fingers gripping the teacup's handle, Noah Wynknight was the most perfect male lead material. She gets why the novel Raeliana is so desperate to seize his attention. Afterall, he was the most formidable man on the entire kingdom. It was only unfortunate that nobody knows what lies behind the angelic mask.
Raeliana had read the first book of the novel, but hasn't finished the second part. She only remembers the last part where Noah and Beatrice had lived far away the town. He was granted a land by the king. They settled on a place near the water. It was mentioned that Noah and Beatrice had a daughter. On the contrary, Raeliana was already dead after the victory of Noah at the battlefront. The second book was currently in release, but she was unable to fetch a copy now that she's living inside the novel.
"Raeliana was really an unlucky fellow. Despised by several characters on the novel because of her wickedness. She was loved by her family and Justin, but was eager to steal Noah's heart that resulted her ultimate end."
