A topless man, wearing black short attacked a man who looks like him with a bastard sword. He swings his sword two times, then followed with a delayed powerful horizontal slash.
*Swing *Swing... *Slash!
As the topless man misses, the man wearing a white sleeveless shirt and black shorts counters with his own two slashes on the open side.
Because of the previous powerful move, the topless man's next movement has been somewhat delayed but he still managed to barely block the two slashes.
*Cling *Cling...
But as the topless man blocks barely in time, the white shirt man saw a new opening from his crude block, he then immediately go for it with a fast slash.
*Swash!
Going for the shoulder of the topless man, the white shirt man managed to land the hit, but instead of making a cut, the sword bounced back from the skin of the topless man together with a cling that sound liked hitting metal.
Cling!
The two-man then stops moving for a while as silence then envelops the room.
After a few still seconds, they then put their swords down and compliments each other.
"Good work"
"You too, good work"
That's right, the true identity of the two is that of Damian and his now clothed avatar albeit still topless in order to look different.
Damian didn't know that there would come a day that he would start talking to himself, the people that he knew would probably treat him like an idiot if they somewhat knew that he, Damian would have a day like this, he thought.
But who cares about their opinions, it was all for training the avatar's individuality.
...
Earlier...
After giving the avatar clothes worth 70 points, and letting it eat dinner worth 20 points.
Damian also bought a magic table clock worth 50 points to keep a track on the time.
Though he finds the clock that he bought somewhat distasteful on the first inspection since he couldn't adjust it, it turned out that the clock is like an automatic clock, that decides the clock's status base on your location, probably, so he decides to accept it as it is, not that he could do anything about it.
Then moving on to their next subject which is training.
Damian spent 310 points for 4 books that introduced the basics of sword fighting and armless fighting stances. It was cheap, but it definitely is a necessity that cannot be really measured by money alone.
Before that, Damian wondered earlier if he could just buy skill books that will instantly give him fundamental skills on the sword but it seems that there are no fundamental skills sold on magic books.
What's being sold are all active skills, passive skills are totally unavailable. But even then, the books being sold are so expensive.
Currently, there are two types of magic books in the shop.
The first type is the classed skills which are classified by having letters, and they are already expensive.
A single C class skill costs 10 000 points, it was cheaper to buy a monster with a C class skill than a single book with a C class skill!
D class skills then cost 1 000 points, E class skills 100, and if the letter rank doubles or triples, the price too also doubles and triples. And that's just for the generic-sounding skills.
But though there are many magic books being sold, there is no presence of the silver texted heroic skills, or the much more impressive Unique skills.
The class and rank of the magic skills too only stop at CCC rank, with a price of 30 000 points.
Then, the 2nd type of magic books are the unranked magic books, with their own unique names.
Earlier, the classified skill names can also exist on a higher class, i.e, if there is a D class skill named 'D rank power throw', a higher class named 'C rank power throw' exists too.
But the 2nd type of magic books don't have those ranks, and their costs vary.
The cheapest of them have the price of D rank, but then, after that, the price really doesn't have a set pattern.
The one with the most expensive price is 66,000, a skill named 'Mana Sacrifice', a skill that sacrificed the user's life to send his remaining mana to someone nearby that he chose.
Though Damian couldn't find the books he wanted on the magic books lists, he somehow finds the books he wanted on the miscellaneous stuff, there are even a bunch of them, different editions; fundamentals in fighting with 6 swords in six arms, underwater sword fighting, and etc.
Damian then just chose the ones for humans. He then divided the books with his avatar.
He, Damian Spade is now on a different world, but it seems he couldn't escape the fate of studying, it is like he is now back in school, with little knowledge regarding the subject, he is a total beginner if not counting the martial arts novels he read. It was fresh, It was new, and now he is learning faster since he literally has two brains and two additional pair of hands. He didn't dislike this feeling.
An hour of learning was consumed.
Damian then bought a bastard sword made of steel worth 450 points for his avatar considering its strength, they then started sparring with each other to tests what they learn.
After that, they will return into reading again, then spar again, rinse and repeat.
And now we return to the present...
...
11:58
Looking at the clock, Damian sees that it was almost midnight.
Damian keeps on checking his points every hour earlier, but no matter how much time had passed, the points don't change except the time that he killed a goblin, or spent some points to buy things.
The point is, it didn't get any higher.
So he thought, that there is a high chance that his daily income could be given at midnight.
He looks at the clock again to see the time, and it just hit 11:59.
Damian then stares at the second hand.
