Everything I need is already packed and I'm on the truck out of NGL.
NGL is a country that disallows all forms of technology, believing in mother nature. This sounds nice and all but the rulers of the place are puppets to the underground drug cartel. To leave this country, there is a big tree located outside its borders. They will check my papers and probably question why a child is traveling alone if I go there so, I'll just go over the water.
One of my new abilities after developing ki was of course flight. Gohan explained flight very well in the show. Concentrate the ki based in the navel and bring it out of your feet. The propulsion of Ki creates flight.
*fuuushuuu*
Now that I'm over, I simply find a truck and sneak in when they aren't looking. The ride should be a couple of hours.
__________
Staying in a car for hours is definitely exhausting. My body isn't used to it now and definitely wasn't used to it before.
[Sigh, now I need to find where this year's hunter exam will take place.]
In order to find the exam hall, I must find a navigator to take me there. The exam starts on January 7th and I have to register by December 31st, so this leaves me roughly two months to find the exam location. This should be enough time for me to find the place. NGL is located pretty far south.
From NGL to the boarding country, from there I'll take a flight to Yorknew City. Finding the location of a constantly changing exam hall isn't meant to be the most challenging thing in the world.
[But I have a faster way of finding the site]
After arriving, I stay in Yorknew a few days to accommodate myself to the new environment. This city really reminds you of another 'new' city from my past life. Now, I'm almost completely broke. But I do have enough money to take a train to the best money making city in the world. Heavens Arena!
__________
"Hello cute little boy, are you lost?" -???
"I'd like to register for the arena," I say.
" Eh? I swear kids these days are ridiculous?" says the attendant.
[!]
Right! I completely forgot. Killua also challenged Heaven's arena when he was 6 years old. He stayed for 2 years. He actually made it to the 150th Floor in the first 2 months.
[Is he still here?...]
Technically he has a lot more techniques than I do, however I know nen.
[hehe]
"Okay, Please fill out this form,"
"Thank you, is just Kurt okay?"
"Yes, that's fine,"
"Then, Kurt will be #1350. They will call your number on the first floor of the arena, so make sure you remember it"
"Thank you," I reply as I walk inside.
The stadium is immediately filled with cheers and shouts as I see 4x4 stages, organized by letters A-P, on the floor with almost filled stadium seats. Taking a seat, I watch the intense atmosphere with a smile. The environment really gets your heart pumping!
"#938 and #1350, Please enter ring A,"
[Oh! That's me. Sure was fast.]
With my hands in my pockets, I walk calmly but with a fast-beating heart, I moved to my designated ring. Waiting for me on the ring is a regular-sized man with a karate gi and the ref in a red turban hat and red long shirt with a white fist on both.
"What! Why is there a kid?"
"I didn't know this was a nursery!"
"If I wanted to babysit, I would have stayed home!"
[These guys are getting too into it, can't you leave a kid alone? and that last guy should keep his family problems to himself. sigh]
As I'm standing across the man, the ref starts speaking, "On the first floor, we appraise each participant's level. You are allowed 3 minutes to demonstrate your prowess."
"Then...begin!"
[Well, in the show, Gon only pushed them away and they went flying and Killua just chopped them in the neck and they fainted. How should I handle this? hmm]
"Hey Kid, sorry about this but I have something to prove."
He lunges at me in an unfamiliar stance and tries to punch my gut. I sidestep easily. He looks at me in some shock, then continues to punch in my direction. I dodge all his attacks easily. Eventually, he starts to tire himself out, so I slowly make my way to the edge of the ring. When he gets close enough and tries again, I sidestep and leave my foot out and he trips out of the ring.
"What!"
"All luck! He tripped!"
The audience goes crazy while the ref thinks to himself. He takes out a handheld printer and says, "Contestant #1350, proceed to floor 50."
"Thank you," I say while taking the ticket. Walking away with my hands still in my pocket, I still hear the audience shouting.
I ignore the peanut gallery and head to the elevator. An attendant was waiting inside.
"Hello, may I see your ticket please"
Handing her my ticket she says, "Confirmed. The first 200 floors of heaven's arena are divided by classes, each comprised of ten floors. So after someone defeats an opponent in the '50s, they advance to the '60s. If they lose, they drop down to the 40's."
"Thank you for the information," I said as politely as possible.
Seeing this, the attendant continued," If you make it to the 100's and up, you can also get your own room." She said with a smile.
Ding*
The elevator opened. I leave while saying, "I'll make sure to put it to use. Thanks again."
[Even though I already knew that thanks for the reminder I guess. Never a bad thing to be polite to others. Now all that's left is to get to the 200th floor while looking for connections.]
