Chapter 6 - Rich Man Problems

--- Kurt's POV ---

[Uh oh!]

"Could you step out for a minute while I put my clothes on?" I said as I slowly walk to my clothes layed out on the bed. I try to maintain a poker face as I speak.

The shock in Killua's face is easy to see. It's not like I'm naked, why are you staring? You're acting like Hisoka and it's freaking me out.

"Ah," said Killua.

Crap I think he realized he still has time on the clock. Glancing at the clock by the bedside, he has a little more than an hour left. Off the corner of my eye, I can see and feel with my En, that he's rushing at me. sigh.

Reaching for my left shoulder, my body automatically reacts and dodges his touch. Continuing on with this exchange, he shoots out relentlessly to catch me yet to no avail.

[And I only have my towel on...]

I drudge on and continue to walk towards the bed where my clothes are neatly laid out for me. Not bothering with this kid, I put my shirt on first. I'm not weird, its just that my upper body would be easier to cover at the moment. Though it doesn't seem like he wants to let me put my clothes on. Truly a skilled assassin, trying to find any weakness to accomplish his mission. But I can't put my clothes on if he keeps attacking me so relentlessly.

"!!!" Killua suddenly backs away into the ceiling corner sweating bullets. Of course, I did it. I released some nen killing intent and the pressure forced him to back away. Normally, you'd be frozen stiff or die. Taking on nen pressure like that without knowledge of nen to protect yourself, would be like walking in a blizzard naked. You'd die pretty fast.

Not taking the opportunity for granted, I grab my clothes and disappear into the bathroom before he even blinks and put my clothes on. Finally! I'm back in my mother's hand-sewn clothes. Fresh out of the laundry. It's basically the clothes the original Kurt died in but a little longer as it's made to fit me till I grow older.

"Alright, guess we can continue now?" I say walking out of the bathroom. Looking up I see Killua still up there starring at me. His complexion is a little better from when I blasted him with nen but he still looks like he can pee himself any minute.

"..What did you just do?" He says

"What do you mean? I wanted to put on clothes, you wouldn't let me. So I thought about how to get you to back off and suddenly you did. Pretty convenient timing too."

"..."

"Well, If you won't say anything, are you going to give up now?"

"..."

"Still got around an hour I think?"

"..."

"I'm good with either way. I win regardless." I said while making sure to strike a fake childish gut pose.

"...how did you do that..." Killua finally replied to my self monologue.

"Do what?" I feign ignorance as I sit on the bed and turn on the TV. On the TV, there is some cartoon featuring a guy with huge forearms eating plants and getting stronger.

---

*beep beep*

The time for the game is over with nothing else eventful happening. "Now you owe me a favor. No matter what it is, you can't deny it. Oh, I'm gonna step out to go eat, please don't be hanging onto my ceiling when I come back. Thank you"

As I walk towards the door after turning off the Tv, I can see him slowly coming down from the ceiling with EN. At least I won't have an expert assassin in my room when I go to sleep. Back for the nerves even if I know he can't touch me.

---Two days later---

I'm walking the streets outside eating stall food and come upon something interesting. There is a carriage outside with obvious wealth and status, and with my EN I can tell there are two people inside, a driver, and quite a few people following it.

[Might as well follow too] I thought while still eating my meat and vegetable kebab.

The Carriage soon arrives at its destination; the rough part of town. Stepping out, I see a familiar old face! It's Mr. Battera! Accompanying him is another familiar face, Tsezguerra.

AN: Only now that I looked up his name, do I realize how his name is spelled haha.

They walk into a two-story building that extends down by the looks of my EN. All the people following soon surround the building. Hmm, I can't tell if they are back up or a group of hooligans, but they definitely move like they have practice. I wonder where Tsezguerra's military friends are?

Guess I'll go in too. Not like anybody can sense me if I don't want to be sensed. I don't know if someone can find me with EN, but my Hatsu completely changed my body's workings. It's not like I'm just holding my power level in or going into Zetsu, but because I've trained to grasp divine ki, the nature of my nen holds the same properties. Meaning it's undetectable by anyone without it...

"Welcome Mr. Battera, I'm sure you have come a long way and you will surely be rewarded for your efforts. Please come this way for tonight's event.

Inside the building, I can see they are greeted by someone and guided downstairs by 3 men surrounding them. Doesn't look like a leisurely talk. Down the stairs, we soon come upon a small stage with multiple kinds of people sitting in front of it.

[Is this an auction stage?]

This makes a lot of sense. Mr. Battera is an old multi-billionaire who is spending all his money to buy a game; Greed Island. A game with only 100 copies and only playable by nen users. As you can imagine, the game is incredibly expensive. Approx 5.8 billion for the game alone. Don't look at the man wrongly though, he is doing this because, in the game, there is something that can heal his wife's coma and bring her back. It's his form of 'Love'...

Though these people are all pretty sketchy. They are dressed differently, some fancy and some not. Of course, my EN can't be deceived. There are quite a lot more people behind the stage and everyone, including the audience, has weapons.

If this isn't a trap then I don't know what is. I can already guess they probably lured him here with either the game or game data. Which without both, you can't play the game.

[Sigh. Rich man problems]
