Immediately, the atmosphere in the room dropped down. The tension was palpable. One could cut a knife through the air. Su Junhan and Su Yanruo were busy glaring at each other and nobody was ready to back down. Finally, it was Su Yanruo who broke the tense atmosphere. Hearing her father's nonsensical words, she couldn't help but scoff out loud.
"Painter Brother got what he deserved?" she sneered. "Father, you're highly mistaken if you think like that."
"For your information, he did nothing wrong. He was just helping me," she said.
"Look, Yanruo, I did not think that incident would make him lose his legs," Su Junhan shrugged. "It's not my fault. Don't blame me for what's caused because of you. If only, you wouldn't have made a plan to escape with him, then all of this wouldn't have happened. My men wouldn't have beaten him so severely making him lose his legs."
