SMACK!
"Oww…." Xia Ming moaned, rubbing the red mark which appeared on her thin white arms. Pouting her cherry pink lips, she glared at Su Yanruo. "I am your cousin sister, Xiaoruo. Is this how you are going to treat me?"
"Shut up," Su Yanruo rolled her eyes.
"Hey, this is not fair. I am your only sister and you need to share these things with me." Xia Ming said. Giving her an over-excited look, she asked, "So who was that Mr. First kiss stealer? How did he kiss you? Was he handsome? How was your first kiss? How did you feel? Was he good?"
Su Yanruo gave her a blank look.
"C'mon, tell me." Xia Ming urged, but then something crossed through her brain. Remembering a certain incident, she glanced carefully at her friend before asking, "Xiaoruo, that, is that man still alive?"
"Why do you mean?" Su Yanruo frowned.
"Remember in our last mission, we went to a party where a man touched your hand. In your rage, you took your dagger, and you stabbed him in the chest, not caring about the people who were looking at you and that man was dead on the spot. Before that, in one of our mission, there was this cute guy I remember. He was trying to flirt with you and you broke his arm," Xia Ming narrated. "Also, before this, I heard that there was a guy who confessed to you and you shot him with your gun."
"So? What are you trying to say?" Su Yanruo asked.
"You stabbed a man for touching your hand, you broke someone's arm for flirting with you and you shot the other one for confessing to you. So, didn't you kill this guy for stealing your first kiss?" Xia Ming inquired.
"I don't kill innocent," Su Yanruo mumbled, her words explaining that she didn't kill that guy.
Huh?
It confused Xia Ming. What does she mean? The other two guys you killed were also innocent. Then what makes this guy special? Was he too handsome that Xiaoruo couldn't kill him? She wondered, but then again, thinking about her hard personality, she felt that it was highly impossible. A man's looks won't charm her friend. So what was it?
"Don't think too much," she said, poking Xia Ming's forehead. "I stabbed that man because I saw him molesting a minor, that other person was trying to steal my purse so I broke his arm and that other guy who confessed to me was an assassin hired to kill me," she explained.
"Oh! Then what about this guy? Why did you let him go?"
Thinking about her encounter with that guy, a frown came upon her face. Her hands clenched up into a tight fist and her eyes narrowed with an angry look. "He fled," she said through gritted teeth.
"He what?" Xia Ming asked with her eyes wide in shock and her mouth open, stunned because of her words. "After kissing you, that, that guy fled away?" she asked.
Su Yanruo nodded.
"Oh my God, Oh my God. This is freaking awesome. There's somebody in this world who can run away after eating your tofu. Who is this guy? I need to meet him," Xia Ming laughed. Oh, by the way, what happened to his marriage proposal? Did you agree?" she teased.
Su Yanruo glared at her. "Are you going to stand here and talk about these useless things?"
"Xiaoruo, this is not useless. We need to talk about these things. This is about your future." Xia Ming said seriously, "Because of your reputation, no guy in the Underworld dares to flirt with you, let alone marry you. This guy kissed you and if he can flee from you, that means his skills are not ordinary. What else do you need?"
"Trust me, Xiaoruo. Marry this guy or else you will die an old virgin death," she said.
"An old virgin death?" Su Yanruo said, with her eyebrows raised and her lips pressed together tightly. "Are you cursing me?"
Seeing Su Yanruo's 'If I don't like your answer, you are gonna get beaten' smile, Xia Ming shivered. Scratching her nose awkwardly, she gave out a helpless smile. "He-he, Xiaoruo, I was just thinking about your future."
"No need. My father has already planned out everything for me, including my future partner," she explained in a monotonous voice.
"But Xiaoruo, this is your life. Until when are you going to listen to him? I know that he is your father, but he has no right to treat you like this," Xia Ming said, her words explaining her disgust towards Su Yanruo's father. "For him, you are just a -"
"Let's go home, Xia Ming. Father must be waiting for us," Su Yanruo sighed, interrupting her words. Three was no use in talking about these things. She had already learned to accept her reality and live with it.
"Xiaoruo…."
"Are you coming or should I blow this whole place along with you?" she asked.
"Coming," Xia Ming said, leaving the matter aside. She knew that it was of no use. Xiaoruo won't listen to her.
Her Uncle, Su Yanruo's father has built a cage around Su Yanruo and she wished for someone to come into Su Yanruo's life and free her from those shackles. She wanted to find a person who can bring color and life into Su Yanruo's boring and dull life. But it was highly impossible.
Only a miracle can make it happen, and she prayed for that miracle to happen in her friend's life soon.
With a dejected sigh, she followed behind Su Yanruo. Walking out of the deserted club, they entered an alley which was a few distances away from it, and they stopped.
"Where is the remote?" Su Yanruo asked.
"Here," Xia Ming said, giving her a small box-shaped thing with a red button on it.
"Mission completed," Su Yanruo smirked, clicking on the red button with her long slender finger.
BOOM!
The explosion rent the air as if it was intent on shattering everything around it. A huge fire engulfed everything, burning the club into ashes. The air smelt of burning, acrid, chemical infused, and choking. Her eyes gleamed, dancing with the fire reflecting inside of them. She was happy. "Let the soul of those twenty people rest in peace," she said.
Turning back, she looked at Xia Ming and gave her a sincere smile. "Let's go. Our job here is completed."
"Yes," Xia Ming smiled back.
